It's both refreshing and worrying to see confirmation of my own observations that too many players these days ignore the importance of spotting and focus fire on DDs, instead preferring too damage farm BBs.

Dear God no, I was expecting something more along the Benham grind but with doubloon boosters to assist those of his who have family and jobs that selfishly expect us to engage with them over the holiday period. I just feel sorry for those people who bought the doubloon boosters before they found out what else was required of them

Sadly its something we all see all too often, yes there is a line that if you cross it is suicidal insanity but there is also measured aggression something that is sorely lacking. WG has sometimes made half hearted efforts to encourage aggressive gameplay but its never been a major priority for them, and I doubt you could ever really change a lot of players thinking in this regard. Sadly in the game just as in real life Buzz is correct when he says:

All very good points but I think better to say worst year so far, lets not underestimate their abilities for 2020

One thing that still bugs me with all of this is what a waste of the dockyard feature the whole PR event is. I did did the PR grind on the PTS and the ship construction is very beautifully done, I'm sure more than a few people here saw Jingles' video showing it off. However as the only realistic way anyone will get the ship is doing the quick buy feature all the effort animating the ship construction is wasted. Not to mention the fact most people wouldn't be able to see it anyway thanks to the insane directives grind.

Don't forget the Kutuzov and Belfast two perfectly balanced ships that helped show that Smolensk would a perfect addition to the game

I have just given up on hoping WG might give surface ship players any kind of useful defence other than dodge and or pray the CV player is an idiot, so would rather have them removed if WG cannot be bothered to put more effort into balancing.

It's strange that some people believe it's worth it, I mean those of us playing the game and are old enough to work it's very easy to afford, but the reality is we have far better things to spend the money on i.e. Wives and girlfriends.

Honestly I doubt very much that there will be any fall out from this. Yes a fair few people are annoyed especially those who already bought boosters, however a lot of people will forget about it the next time that WG do a discount sale or release some new premium ship. I dont agree with WGs whole attitude with how they dealt with it but I have already seen people playing the PR and plenty of people will forget about this debacle. I cannot see them suffering any long term consequences.

I had planned to buy the first booster and then just play on, but after seeing just how extreme the grind would be I’m going to ignore even trying for the PR. I appreciate it was going to be a fair grind for a tier 10 but I think WG got carried away with it this year.

I'm more a fan of the historical camos, although I have nothing against the outlandish camos such as space or Halloween existing I am pleased I can turn them off. Quite frankly the custom camos are a very good deal for WG those that like them can pay and WG make profit but those of us not interested can ignore, it's win win. Still I leave this suggestion for any anime fans (although Kantai collection would never do a collaboration).

If we could do them in operations that would be great but I don't hold out much hope, WG don't tend to be that nice.

Well I cannot say I'm surprised by how hard these requirements are considering the PEF was not exactly easy, and this is a tier 10 after all. If it was too easy to get we would get plenty of complaints about the game being flooded with people not knowing how to play in high tier (not that it's a new issue, just would get a lot more whinging). As to whether I can devote enough time to the game and grind over Christmas when my gf and family think I should engage with them is another matter. Will probably buy the first premium booster and give the first weeks grind a damn good try to see how hard it is and assess from there if it's possible to get the PR as I'm not prepared to pay for all the premium boosters.

Hopefully our counterparts on the NA server will post the numbers today of the boosters both for ship building tokens (the first one at least) and the premium boosters, then at least we can do the maths and each of us can work out what we would have to do or how much we would be willing to pay.

Eventually they will probably return in some form but it won't be anytime soon, WG appear to have lost interest in CVs and any other development other than submarines. So I wouldn't expect to hear anything for at least a year.

At least we know we have our priorities in the correct order

I wish I could say that was just a weekend phenomenon but sadly it's becoming increasing prevalent, it's just so annoying when you watch your top tier BBs run for the other side of map as soon as the battle loads in.

Thats not a problem unique to tier 10 though is it is a issue across all the tiers, and yet still its possible to get CV players who rage quit because AA is too good apparently....

Ah I get you now, whilst the tier 10 CVs can be very nasty especially in the hands of a good player the surface ships at least have better(ish) AA to defend themselves, down at tier 5 your almost always up against 2 enemy CVs at least in tier 10 it's more rare to get that problem.
