Whilst it’s true there is a whole spectrum between top priority and none, WG do have quite the track record for ignoring things that are not top priority and the to do list grows ever greater
-
I would be willing to pay if it was similar to premium time, that way at weekends when I don’t want to engage in random battles I could complete daily missions in PvE a whole lot faster than in co op.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
lovelacebeer replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Its funny because its true I was reported -
Now I'm not afraid to criticise WG when I feel they have done something wrong (CV rework, PR grind etc) but seriously these grinds are fine I did 3 directives yesterday without even trying and I'm pretty confident I will do another 2 today. The problem is if people are going to complain at every little thing and reasonable grind then WG are naturally going to ignore us when we complain if they are unreasonable. Talk about the boy who cried wolf on this forum.

AA builds worth it anymore
lovelacebeer replied to The_Shungite_Wizard's topic in General Discussion
I don't consider AA builds to be of any value these days, I would rather build around the ships surface combat potential. -
CV players and the joys of playing new lines at T3-5
lovelacebeer replied to Gnolfus's topic in General Discussion
I truly feel sorry for anyone starting out in the game these days the lower tiers and considering that most low tier ships come from a time before aircraft were a serious threat the balancing is very poor. However there is is no way WG would want to make any effort to help the lower tiers (prehaps as incentive to buy your way out of the lower tiers). Considering that throughout most of 2019 if you joined the game you were given a free Langley to start out with, I get the impression WG were determined to force CVs down our throats, come hell or high water. -
Delete post please! Got my answers, case closed!:)

I really wouldn't bother losing the progress, better to see your own development, and not loose anything you have built up. -
So now the patch is live how long before we get system outages and the standard compensation I wonder

Want to know why WG is adding so much new Russian stuff - RU Server player numbers down 30-35% since 2015!
lovelacebeer replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
Scheduled Server down time for the installation of update 0.9.1 should be up fairly soon https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/game-updates/update-091-british-cruisers-part2/ -
So Many Needless Failed Raptor Missions.
lovelacebeer replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
Sadly very true "soon as possible" is WG language usually means in the far future when they can eventually be bothered. Apparently according to WG not enough people play scenarios to warrant putting resources into them, so the fix will take ages. -
That's an achievement being able to play but blacked out the modular change
-
I understand the logic but no thanks, my best games are usually when I'm on the potato team that's where it's easy to get high number of kills and I never pass up the opportunity to try and get a solo warrior medal.

Sadly I'm not surprised they want to remove Narai and probably all the remaining operations too, they have made it clear they don't want to put any effort into operations and with Subs being the next big thing they don't want anything like us having fun to get in the way.

British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
lovelacebeer replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Actually not a bad event (certainly not as bad as some people appear to be making out) the London should be quite possible to get. I'm moderately confident I can get Cunningham as long as the grinds are not in the level of PR insanity (also he will be available later on in game anyway if I cannot get him this time around). I do note however it will depend a lot on the mission directives I just hope WG don't repeat the PR stupidity. -
Hang on, I thought the point was to get us to play _more_ mid tiers?
lovelacebeer replied to Uglesett's topic in General Discussion
I remember them making that claim, but if that was the real reason they could have just set mission requirements rather than creating a whole new currency and all the extra effort of developing the RB. To be fair if I felt there was anything I wanted from the RB I might even regrind some lines, I'm not that bothered by their reasoning either but it would be a nice change for them to be open and direct. -
It's a bit early in the day for these troll/ joke threads.

Sadly WG have been very clear that Operations are not interesting to them anymore and they don't want to put more resources into them, as apparently spreadsheet says almost no one plays them. The only way the bug will be fixed is if the auto pilot feature is improved, and that will depend of whether CV players continue to complain about the autopilot.

Although it varies depending how the team positions itself as the battle starts, key points are support the caps get a clear field of fire over the cap to support and DD or cruiser that goes for it. If your team lemming trains behind you keep encouraging them to push (communication is key) if the team goes the other way be prepared to provide a kiting retreat, that doesn't mean just run for it but rather fight a delaying action. Also keep in mind what what kind of BB your in ie. low tier American BBs are slow as hell so won't want to go the long way around, where as Japanese BBs like the Kongo have the speed to work flanks more if needed.

Hang on, I thought the point was to get us to play _more_ mid tiers?
lovelacebeer replied to Uglesett's topic in General Discussion
I do not beleive the purpose of the RB was to get us to play mid tiers more, there are much easier incentives available if that was their intention. The RB was created to make us use up our stockpiles of silver, camo and flags trying to regrind lines fast. -
Black as well as the Flint and Neustrashimy will become coal ships later this year. Jean Bart and Smolensk will be removed from the armoury.
-
There is no direct way to convert steel to coal, its only as a top up conversion if you have insufficient coal. Even then it's been the case when people write threads about this topic they are complaining that they didn't mean to waste the steel. This is the first time I have ever seen anyone actually want to get rid of their steel, which of course is your choice it's your resource/ account. However as others have said usually it's better not to use steel in this way, so it's highly unlikely the mechanics around conversion would ever get easier or made into a direct swap.

Is fire prevention skill worth it ?
lovelacebeer replied to Admiral_Oily_Discharge's topic in General Discussion
I certainly would recommend fire prevention considering how much HE spam there is these days. -
How many "Tier X" lines have you reset for the "Research Bureau" purpose thus far?
lovelacebeer replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I have done 2 so far, the British light and Japanese cruiser lines but I won't bother doing it again. The research bereau has nothing to offer me so why bother. Re doing the Japanese cruisers was a bit interesting, I originally did them years ago so it was mildly entertaining to re evaluate them now I'm a bit more knowledgeable about the game.Although it was funny to see how many battleship players expect Ibuki's to tank for them... -
enough of the new ships.. how about some more maps?
lovelacebeer replied to Dr_Snugglestein's topic in General Discussion
Guess it's a matter of personal perference of maps, we all have our most liked or hated maps. I just loath North because it's just so common for C cap to be where people get drawn into the 9/10 line, and not always my team either. It just means playing every battle on North feels the same to me because of its bad design. -
enough of the new ships.. how about some more maps?
lovelacebeer replied to Dr_Snugglestein's topic in General Discussion
North is fine in Clan Battles because everyone is working as a team, but in randoms I loath this map. The reason being it's far to common for things to go wrong at the C cap, either the DD yolo and dies, the DD spots and caps doing a great job but the BBs and cruisers are all going around the 9/10 lines doing nothing. Its a map that encourages stupidity, random teams rarely ever coordinate well and the map design only makes it worse.
