No it's not CVs are fundamentally different from surface combatants in how they interact with them

As I stated gameplay with CVs is fundamentally different, to surface combatants, CV intereaction is nothing like the other 3 classes. Also the thin end of the wedge argument is a bad argument for the reason I stated previously. Now if you have a valid counter argument then by all means go for it.

The simple solution would be to have a choice of random battles with CVs in the line up and random battles without CVs, as some people do apparently (and very vocalically on here say they like games with CVs) , that way its a choice. Although sadly WG would never let us have such a choice. I know some detractors say then people would demand a game mode without DDs or light cruisers however Im not convinced by that 'thin end of the wedge' style of argument because CVs are fundamentally very different to surface combatants and also in general thin end of the wedge arguments rarely have any value ie its possible to legalise cannabis and not have people clamouring for the legalisation of crack cocaine or meth.

Are you sure that's a good example considering the failed torpedo attacks of the 12 April, the most success Furious had was damaging captured Norwegian ships on the 13th and their involvement on the 14th was also pretty negligible.

I still like to beleive CVs have a place in the game, although I do beleive one per team is enough especially at tier 4. That being said ever since the rework I find games with CVs in to be noticeably less enjoyable, so I'm always grateful for games without them.

We got the same message last night but no idea what the rule change was, I wish it had been getting rid of cyclone.

Hard choice for me I love both the British and Japanese fleets in game, but I went for Japanese because they are all round fun (excluding CVs I only just started them pre rework so no valid opinion) also because I do not like the tech tree British BBs (the new heavy cruisers didn't help either). The premium British BBs like Warspite, Hood and especially Thunderer are great but I really do not like over dependence on HE in the tech tree.

Well judging by the amount of bad play, insults and reports flying around it's obvious we are in the combined joys of a ranked season and a weekend.

I admit I really do not like the RNG aspect of the token drops so I'm not going to make any effort on the European event, if I get something that's nice but I won't go out of way for this event.

It doesn't look very impressive on paper considering how fragile the hull is, but I look forward to seeing some reviews. Normally just being a British ship would be reason enough for me to get it, but these days I admit my enthusiasm for spending money on the game is waining considerably.

I don't usually do ranked battles as I play this game to escape the stress of my job, but just be warned gentlemen: we are approaching the first weekend of ranked, you think it's been bad so far you wait for tomorrow...

Quick question is there a way to turn down the noise of being on fire? I'm happy with the other sound effects but the actual fire noise is really irritating.

Oh I did, as I do not have a huge level of confidence in the automated system.

Yesterday I had a battle where a friendly Zao was torping from the third line he took half the health off a friendly Worcester, who proceeded to shoot the Zao where upon the damage was reflected back onto the Worcester killing himself. The Worcester player then spent the rest of the battle calling for the second coming of Hitler and a lot of very unsavoury holocaust suppporting comments followed. I'm going to guess he probably fell foul of the chat ban system some how.

I use in game chat regularly and I have never been chat banned. Worst I ever get because of chatting is being reported by CV players who hate it when you are polite to them and thank them when they help out.

I just cant win in a DD today, time to get the Kamikaze out apparently

I cant say I'm surprised to hear that Arms race in ranked isn't popular, still it wont matter WG are getting rather used to us getting upset so why would this time be any different.
