Clan battles with CVs what could possibly be less fun and more annoying, takes away any opportunity for tactics.

It will be interesting to see just how many Smaland's we see once the update goes live. As much as some people feel she's over priced I have no doubt there are more than a few who won't be able to resist getting her.

Not in the slightest bit surprised by the cost, at least this way if you see someone in her then you know they really wanted that boat.

Well our team lemming trained to A however the BBs refused to enter the cap whilst the enemy team lemming trains to C, nothing unusual there. However despite us warning our CVs that they are alone and exposed and asking over and over for them to come towards A cap we were firmly told "CVs don't move, the team must go where the CVs tell them too" slightly ignoring the fact they never said anything about where they were going etc. Still they complained a lot once they were dead, about pretty much everything.

Sounds like fun and I would certainly enjoy seeing it be developed, however WG don't appear to like us playing scenarios and are trying to kill them off.

A lot of this debate could have been avoided if WG had listened more to the feedback before rushing the rework into going live, but what I really cannot understand is why they have apparently become bored with trying to balance the class. Still I'm so fed of having hope that WG can find a balance I wouldn't miss them if they were removed.

Seems all rather underwhelming, pretty much a copy paste job and a slightly modified copy still see what gimmicks WG come up with for them.

I only just got the London today so my advice is more based around the general British heavies but hope it helps. Try to keep the engagement at near your maximum effective range, go forward supporting your DDs if possible, and as soon as a target is spotted start to turn away whilst lining up your guns. Focus DDs or cruisers most of all as you can take some respectable chunks out of their health. I know it sounds obvious but have a escape route planned have an island you can duck behind or be able to run out into open water. They don't seem to like island hugging I found so keep moving. I will try to add more specific ideas for London once I feel I know her better myself.

I'm guessing this is the planned gimmick for the upcoming German CV line.

I have mixed feelings about her, she can produce some very respectable damage numbers but she's so fragile. I guess it's not helped by the fact I do not like kiting away all that much. Still even in the hands of a only moderately competent captain like myself she's allowed me to top the leader board 5 games in a row today (4 were wins). Also a very minor thing I actually like her aesthetic the Goliath is really ugly in comparison.

To kill one of those little personally I find it very rewarding, I will usually focus them over other cruisers because I find them so annoying. Smolensk was a terrible ship to introduce to the game in the first place.

At medium and close range I prefer to switch to HE when shooting a Smolensk when I'm in a BB. At longer ranges where the shells are plunging AP can be very effective, my Yamato with spotter plane does very nicely when the little devil is sat in smoke obviously open water kiting is much harder.

It's an interesting idea but it wouldn't be for me, whilst my brother in law plays on the Asian server and we do chat from time to time about the game I wouldn't suddenly feel the need to division up with him. However the main reason I wouldn't be interested is because of my experience of the Russian player base on the PTS, seeing how they behave in chat and in game I just wouldn't want to engage with that regularly.

As others have advised send to support, but its pretty normal every ranked season. I lost about 10 karma from killing people the last 3 days and I don't even play ranked it just brings out all the most toxic people. For example the chat message I got from a angry BB driver who despite knowing I was there still resented being torped, now I could have replied but why lower myself to their level

Please note this is more than a little tongue in cheek: Since we apparently cannot have Kitakami back how about a high tier (9 or 10) deep water torpedo armed light cruiser, with the same guns as Haragumo and a large defensive fighter suit. This way she can can provide AA support to DDs pushing forward but by having deep water torps she wouldn't team kill her DDs

What always shocks me is how angry people get when you tell them to go to the exit, only today I had a guy loose his mind when I asked him to get into the exit circle, he did it with 1 second to spare but good god he wasn't happy about it. The weird thing was he did seem to understand the mission certainly more than most of our team who ignored the battleships to focus on the transport ships.

Yeh all you can do is report them to support with the replay attached and let WG deal with them. Its not worth shooting them or saying anything in chat.

I'm a bit conflicted whether he is worth getting as I rarely play French ships but as the same time the captain perks look good, the question for me is he good enough to justify the coal and then give the French ships another go.

It could well be just my luck that I got special teammates, and I didn't find it affected my enjoyment as I use the PTS far more for my own research than anything so please don't think I was complaining actually I was trying to be mildly positive.

For what it's worth you guys should really check out the PTS Russian players are phenomenal teamkillers it's not at all unusual to watch 2 or 3 teammates all opening up on each other and having their own private little battle. NB it is probably partly because it's PTS and doesn't count but still makes for 'interesting' viewing

The more I read of this thread the more glad I am I do not play ranked, it doesn't sound like you chaps are evening enjoying yourselves doing it.

WG would probably make up a tier 10 German CV still if it's flight deck looks anything like this I'm sure a lot of people would want it

Seriously you have never seen a battleship kiting away, never seen a Khabarovsk in game? Look I get your deliberately being silly trying to labour an impossible point but the fact is CV interaction is totally different from the other 3 classes.
