Oh getting shot at by a teammate happens to me every now and then, usually it's done either by the person who comes lowest on the team for base XP and/or was someone camping the back of the map all battle and spamming HE. I just send the replay to support and hope WG give them a few days ban.
-
I really hope they do too but that doesn't tend to be how WG operate sadly, but hey live in hope!
-
Im not saying they should, honestly I cannot see a situation where they would be necessary considering planes were the standard ASW system for large surface ships as per the HMS Warspite example. I simply pointed out that they existed at the relevant time period considering the question was about helicopters.
-
Alternatively they could have autogyro's they were around before WW2 but not used extensively.
-
Well the Republique has a helipad on the stern so it's potentially possible and for other BBs and the heavy cruisers ASW planes are more than possible additions considering HMS Warspite's plane sunk U 64. We are still in the early stages of WG trying to figure subs out so anything is possible at this stage.

Generally like the sound changes they take a bit of getting used too but sound more realistic, but PLEASE turn the volume down on the fires! All the other sounds are at a reasonable volume but fires are way too loud especially since how often you are on fire if your a BB or a DD running away and need to concentrate on dodging.

What purchases have you enjoyed the most?
lovelacebeer replied to NothingButTheRain's topic in General Discussion
Over all probably Warspite, (Hood comes a close second after her accuracy buff) got her when she was the only British BB, back when I naively believed British BBs would be ships that rewarded forward planning and careful aim. She might be slow but shes consistent and fairly responsive on the rudder. Although for pure evil fun the Kamikaze R is my go too fun boat, but I ground her in the Pearl event rather than purchased but man that boat is fun. -

Can I just say I love the art work, whom ever drew that did a great job. I look forward to the stream too of course. -
What is your biggest purchase regret! (edited)
lovelacebeer replied to Mad_Dog_Dante's topic in General Discussion
USS Sims, I just never really enjoyed her and these days she's a bit obsolete -
Does make me curious how they would allocate rewards as usually when your uptiered the credits and XP can be very nice assuming you win.

For how long will the new "Submarine Battles" event last?
lovelacebeer replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I played it at the start, I guess just random luck but I found both the game play and the attitude of most people I encountered in subs mode very off putting -

You have had a very different experience of sub battles to me then I found it way more rude and blame filled than ranked battles -
Worth a shot I remember years ago WG did do a special event where certain CCs and staff members had a very enhanced ship so they had a smaller team, from what I remember it was good fun. Its worth a try at the very least it could be a good laugh.

It is certainly the case the type of ship you play has an influence on how likely you are to be complimented or reported for playing well. Although the favourite example is CVs it's also true for DDs you can have a great game carry your team kicking and screaming to Victory and still get reported by the enemy, conversely I find it a lot easier to get compliments when playing BB and cruisers are not too bad. Still there are enough very good CV and DD players out there with plenty of karma so it's certainly not true to say oh I always get reported because I played That ship class. Still it would cause a lot of complaints from people of they felt karma was worth something and they were missing out for that reason.

I really like the look of the steel camos but the price is just too steep for me and I'm sitting on about 38,000 steel, the last thing I want to do is spend a load of steel and then find some new interesting ship new comes out. As for your position OP I would still be tempted to save your steel as it's still a damn hard to come by resource but it comes down to how much you like the camo.

New Port: "Kaga Squad" and "Graf Zeppelin"
lovelacebeer replied to Nov_A's topic in General Discussion
That's a new one, usually I just get my captains all jumbled up so I end up with Yamamoto on the Audacious etc Still your bug looks way cooler. -
Honestly I believe karma is designed to act as a vent for people when they are annoyed, it is designed to avoid too many post battle arguements in chat which then might result in lots of reports to WG when then have to moderate. Whilst I completely understand the frustration of being reported when it seems unreasonable, I think we all know the feeling of being reported for having a great game but someone doesn't appreciate being killed just because they played badly. So it's best not to really worry about karma it's not worth anything so getting reported doesn't really matter.

submarines SUBMARINES - discussion, feedback, opinions
lovelacebeer replied to WG_Lumberjack's topic in General Discussion
Now this I would love a team of subs attacking a convoy escorted by a mixed team of human players with bots providing the transports, I honestly would find this a lot of fun and be interesting to play. Sadly I fear WG are determined it's going to be subs in randoms and to hell with the consequences. -
Quick question; in a random battle today I had a super tester trying out the the new German tier 10 CV Manfred von Richthofen, and even though he was in the usual CV position nice and far back he was blown out of the water by an enemy Shikishima, is this something the Shikishima can do to all tier 10 CVs? It does seem reasonable considering her guns in which case could be fun to carrier snipe when divisioned up.

New daily missions and their rewards - a BIG THANK-YOU to WG!
lovelacebeer replied to NicramDuel's topic in General Discussion
True I'm honestly surprised by how nice WG have been and nothing appears to have gone wrong. So credit where it's due and thank you. -
How could you not enjoy the Dockyard the commissar strictly ordered us to enjoy and be grateful for what we are given. On a serious note just ignore it it's all you can do.

Just having some fun -
I really want more camouflage options - even if paying for them
lovelacebeer replied to WarDax's topic in General Discussion
It has always surprised me that WG does not put more effort into developing more camos at least for the higher tiers to add diversity for players (whilst not too badly affecting the in game economy) to choose from and it must be a lot easier to design new camo than to build a whole new ship. After all the space camo's whilst not really my cup of tea must have netted WG a fair income, and to WGs credit they give me the option to turn it off seems like a win win for everyone. -
submarines SUBMARINES - discussion, feedback, opinions
lovelacebeer replied to WG_Lumberjack's topic in General Discussion
Random thought that I will probably try to test tomorrow but can subs be hurt by friendly depth charges? Only reason I ask is it's not unusual for sub players to get pretty close when trying to hunt each other so as a DD do I run a risk of killing my friendly sub if I try to help him or is friendly fire disabled for subs ? -
What fun is, to play against an invulnerable (sub) ship?
lovelacebeer replied to anonym_WHY4JO92xZKJ's topic in General Discussion
Best thing about exploiting the 6 metre mechanic is the bots sometimes friendly fire on their own DDs that are trying to kill you, and the sad thing is I trust the bots to be a heck of a lot more careful than a lot of random players.
