ranked sprint format as a game option.
lovelacebeer replied to THE_JUDEAN_PEOPLES_FRONT's topic in General Discussion
Sadly WG would never give us greater variety in game modes, it's why all the ranked battles and special events are short term things. To be fair to WG it could well be because of population numbers and they worry about depleted the pool of people in randoms, but WG have no interest in giving us greater diversity. -
Whilst I can easily understand your frustration and in before the thread is locked. The presence of CVs in a battle greatly reduces my enjoyment of said battles but WG have a extremely lacklustre desire to address the outstanding issues with CVs. So don't expect anything to change.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

different tiers for different leagues in cb's? yay or nay?
lovelacebeer replied to MrWastee's topic in General Discussion
As we are finding on the PTS asymmetric battles quantity has a quality all of its own. -
Im quite enjoying asymmetric battles the larger team certainly has the advantage proving that quantity has a quality all of its own. However it is possible for the tier 8s to win but with such a small team you are a lot more dependant on no one being especially silly. Its also in my opinion wise to bring radar cruisers over say kiting cruisers although the Germans with their hydro & torps can hold their own. Surprisingly having a tier 8 CV is often more of a burden than a benefit, and god help any team with 2 CVs, its certainly not helped by the number of CV players who adamantly refuse to move their ship so are easy pickings for the low tier BBs. So I would suggest a limit of only 1 CV for the high tier team.

It really doesn't surprise me anymore these days WG seem to make everything part of either a bundle or a lottery box. However for me I do not consider this a sale.
-
I really wish I got it more often it's way more fun than any of the other maps.

I am having the worst luck with teams this week i don't pretend to be great at this game but i cannot remember the last time i had such a constant loosing streak, still had some fun games at least even if my team is obsessed with snatching defeat from victory

I’m sure they do, it probably looks like it was drawn by a drunken spider dunked in ink but there is probably some sort of plan even if it’s a very loose rough guide. However given the community no way are WG daft enough to tell it too us, just watch any of their twitch streams as dozens of people demand every single week a guaranteed release date for whatever is their favourite ship.

Supercontainer Premium Ship Drop List (Aug 2020)
lovelacebeer replied to Benser33's topic in General Discussion
Thank you for compiling this list, I doubt I would be lucky enough to get any ships but nice to know what's possible. At least with so many of us getting containers soon we have an opportunity to see what the drop chances are. -
A very interesting and well thought through suggestion how I really wish WG would give a lot of these ideas some serious thought but I doubt it. I will provide a better reply with some of my own thoughts when I have time but I would like to leave this little point of interest, at the time of writing the only person who answered that they enjoyed this current clan battles is also someone who doesn't participate in clan battles. Pretty much sums up the state of the game...

How do you like Slava? Worth to regrind 5 lines?
lovelacebeer replied to luokailk's topic in General Discussion
The one thing that appeals to me about the Slava is the accuracy of the gun on a ship that's designed to hang back which could be very handy when subs are shoved into randoms and a even more passive meta is thrust upon us. -
Playing at the tier 8 is more of a challenge although its amazing fun playing in the Bismarck the only problem is as the smaller team your totally dependant on your CV or CVs not to be painfully incompetent to the point where they refuse to move (and im not talking about bots) who just sit there totally stationary until they are killed. So honestly I wouldn't play these as the higher tier if it went live in this state I only ever get useless CV players on my team.

Also suffering a massive delay on using my consumables often takes several seconds and a dozen or so presses on the relevant button before it finally kicks in

Lag/stutters are unbearable with new patch
lovelacebeer replied to 15JG52Robi's topic in General Discussion
Its actually much worse on the PTS which is concerning, I am going to submit a report on the PTS page to hopefully get them to address it but watch out the next patch could be even worse... -

Super Container Loot Thread [ topics merged ]
lovelacebeer replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
Well it looks likely that in update 0.9.8 tier 10 ships will get a super container so very soon we will see a fair explosion of content for this thread. -
Your just lucky then, I last had it on Tuesday

Sadly I wouldn't recommend this game to a new player given the current state it's in. All my friends who I introduced to the game have quit as a direct result of CVs. It's possible for us who have been in the game a long time to know how to mitigate the effects of the majority of CV players but for a new player trying to develop the skills for how to play I do not envy them.

Is it just me, or is the CV autopilot broken?

Wargaming should Participate in Clanbattles.
lovelacebeer replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
I honestly believe WG are well aware of the issues but as they don't affect the profitability of the game there is no incentive for them to do anything, their attitude is best summed up by this quote: -
At least it's good to see some people can enjoy playing the game without the "joys" of the ever present CV being forced into every battle. Still WG are very clear CVs must be in everything so perhaps this is the best way to go, get some friends together set up a training room and just have fun.

WG are getting less generous but it's not exactly surprising anymore, it's why it's not worth making any special effort for these events.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
lovelacebeer replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Saw @Execute0rder66 today in their Gaede a very well played game by him, our DDs were so scared of you they stayed behind us cruisers in the end I lost my patience and tried to rush you in my Leander didnt work well for me though, WP and left you a +1. -
First off I have to say to OP that's an impressive amount of work and over all I do like the idea of making a second battleship line as well as a battlecrusier line. It's always irritated me that the British tech tree BBs are so HE focused so an alternative line that's not so dependant on HE would be very welcome. As would your suggestion for a refitted Admiral class battleship as Hood should have been given. I would be curious to see the N3, G3 and L3 brought to life in game although I can imagine the G3 in particular being a real pain to play with the large rear superstructure (HE spammers will love to shoot it).
