Can we finally remove OP hydro from Bismarck?
Blitzkrieguk replied to Syrchalis's topic in General Discussion
British Cruiser RL had HE, where is it? Russian Ships RL didn't exist, why are they here? German Ships RL all sank and exploded bar 2, why haven't they in this game? The Tirpitz can be seen in combat, RL it hid in a Fjord, why can we see it and why isn't there an earthquake bomb lodged in it? All ships had access to Smoke, radar and sonar, why don't we in this game? We can continue with this. Game is a game and real life is real life. That is why we can remove things if they are overpowered, it is a game. -
Can we finally remove OP hydro from Bismarck?

Stealth firing is actually on WG's chopping block. So Destroyers and especially certain cruisers will have a massive nerf making it easier for Battleships to crush everything in their path. -

Well since secondary damage doesn't count guys. We should remove it from the German battleships. Do you mind if you add that secondary firepower to my RN Cruisers? As you know, it doesn't actually do anything and actually count as damage. -
Jokes on you, I already play RN Cruisers

Ok, the Minotaur is a complete Death Machine. By the way, the double strike was done with my guns on 2 Destroyers in quick succession of me solo killing them.

Getting Pink because of blind team sailors -.-

Oh look. Scrubs blaming others when it's blindly obvious it was their mistake. Never seen that before Accept your mistake and move on. -
The Neptune is glorious...apart from its citadel I really can't wait for the Minotaur as it's a straight improvement over the Neptune.

Pair of spicy games.

Rest in peace Cruisers, may you be remembered.

Make British cruisers that live and die by smoke to survive BB meta. Give Soviet BBs radar for massive slav keks. -
Fires... Another Frustration...

How dare cruiser interfere with his point and click action adventure! -
More British things! And a general cruiser buff.

I'll be honest, you've picked one of the toughest lines in the game to really start playing this game, it's definitely not a new player friendly line. Especially below T6. I'm sorry to say but it's about to get worse when you hit the Emerald since you suddenly see T7's and you will see them a lot. The only thing that is better on it is the addition of smoke, however your citadel is literally the entire ship so you will just explode if anyone decides to shoot in your general direction. That said, once you hit T6, it really is the light at the end of an extremely dark tunnel, the ship is completely magic and it only gets better from there as the British cruisers become excellent. Now to play British cruisers generally you will 100% rely on its smoke screen ability (when you get it at T5) and low camouflage rating. You need to use their excellent turning capabilities along with extreme acceleration to duck and dive through fire and use the Torpedo's when you can as they are excellent for a cruiser. So try and use the T4 and 5 for ambushes from behind islands and fling your torpedo's in to get some damage. Stay near to islands where you can ambush players, if not stick with your main force in hope they will draw fire allowing you to hopefully get your rounds off and possibly achieve torpedo runs. As stated, you really have picked a very unfriendly line to start with and it is very painful to get through, but trust me it's well worth it when you break through those abhorrent ships to glorious cruisers that await you at T6 and beyond.

Personally I'm leaning to putting the KGV at T8, mainly because we are obviously going to get the Nelson at T7. If they did shuffle them down, at T8 you'd probably have to stick the Vanguard there, which probably wouldn't happen due to it most likely being selected as a premium at a guess. Let's be honest people, this is an arcade game, WG will most likely put the KGV at T8 and make some changes to get it placed there, regardless of which ever argument drum you bang. The reasoning behind it would most likely be they will want to place as many historically existing ships into the tree as possible without resorting to paper, as T9 and 10 will become paper. Due to they need to place the Nelson somewhere and it's far more suited as a T7 compared to T8 it would be natural that to fill the next ship would be the KGV since between the two it can handle T8 better than the Nelson due to its other attributes. While I highly doubt they would stick a paper ship at T8 in the RN line. Then again we can speculate all day but with WG, christ they could throw anything into the works.

If you are looking at the late game as in the Minotaur, i'd go with either manual AA or Suvival Expert. Since the Minotaur has no secondaries and youll be using the aa range module you may as well go with the dps of manual AA because with AFT if no one is spotting the planes for you the planes appear inside your AA so you wont get max use. The thing us not every game has a CV so you wont get use out of it as much as SE. SE while it wont prevent the deletions with 4k extra hp what you need to remember is that hp is slways repairable and with the super heals you gain massive amounts of ehp. So the real choice is mental AA or more ehp. Up to you.

Ignore him. The Danae always had it. The british cruiser line has inital problems. The T 1 and 2 are fine. 3 is ok and 4 and 5 struggle severly and are awful. The Leander is where it gets good, and when I say good I mean fantastic. From there on it gets better. That is based upon you enjoy the base concept of how they play. If you don't like/isn't your play style of big DDs then you wont enjoy them full stop. If you live manueverable ships, decent torps, bundles of utility and guns that can be really dangerous then this is the line.
-
Been really enjoying them. They are really dangerous in pairs since you can lay down perma smoke and really deny entire areas.

Thank you for doing that write up that you said you would The stories that came from my grandfather from serving on the Worcester was it was just terrifying. Shame he died when I was 3. Alot of the guns were blown away during the engagement at Brest which he was a gunner. After that experiance he retrained as a radar opperator and went onto the HMS Phoebe.

Manual AA does buff your 6 inch guns that also act as AA. Don't forget the Minotaur has the higest dpsing long range AA in the game. The main choice is more range or dps on AA. You'll most likely have the AA range module. If you extent the range with AFT as well you are at a point where you are spotting planes they are already inside the range so you aren't getting full use out of the max range unless the planes are already spotted which then enables maximum use. Where manual AA buffs the dps of the 6 inch guns allowing constant buff at any range they can hit. So it's up to you. The only other choice is SE and heard some interesting points that with the extremely powerful heal the effective health return is massive over a game when using SE and its health can always be repaired from what ive heard. That said, it wont stop those massive deletions. But it still yields promise. But to reply to the OP, it's a nice thought but if I was you i'd make maximum use out of its extremely good camo rating and enhance it. As much as JOAT is a tempting notion CE is superior as being invisible to shorter ranges is far more useful that cd reductions.

I do agree. The complaining is excessive. I think people were too spoiled with the German BB line and people forget that cruisers arent exactly meta.
