Hood blew away all the docked French ships such as Battlecruiser Dunkirque. So about as useless as the Bismarck, Tirpitz and Yamato. I agree. While Battleships were stunning machines to see especially in combat. Cruisers abd Destroyers were the ships of real use. That said. Ship enthusiasts still are in awe about the for the sheer power, beauty and awe/fear the inspired. So saying that no naval enthusiast would be interested is a bit of a silly statement.

No naval enthusiast would be interested in the Bismarck, it's greatest achievement was getting kekked upon by a Biplane. Who would want the Tirpitz, its famous for being bombing practice and hiding. No fan of naval vessels would want the Yamato, all did was be a big wreck at the bottom of the sea. All of these were apparently great but all of them were super useless.

Shame you didn't put the Moskva in the running. The thing is terrifying. Absolute power house and works at all ranges and most situations, really versatile. However i'd go with the DM. The Hindenburg has no upside compared to the other cruisers. Not that it's bad just the other cruisers have something that makes them different. That said for the DM you have to be ok with essentially a CQB brawler as the velocity and shell arc are abysmal.But the damage output is frightning with a chunky alpha as well. If you're not for a more CQB brawler then get the Moskva tbh.

Was a mechanic that needed removing. It was terrible in WoT and it's terrible here.

In the moskva i change my playstyles between games as you can do that. But commonly at least for me ill sit at long range (I have the range module equipped) and bully BBs with its excellent HE at the first section of the game and go from there depending on the flow of the match. But the games where there are a lack of BBs or a higher presence of DDs I'll push a bit more so I can use radar. Also if its T10 heavy the match up I tend to fall into a bit more of a supportive role or move with more back up. If its a very T8 heavy game with only a few T10s I will be far far more aggressive and play almost like a BB and help really help push.

I found the playstyle of the Moskva dynamic as you can play it different ways. However bowing in is a common practice as its a tough beast when bowing in. If its a BB heavy game with little amount of DDs I tend to stay at range and burn a lot of BBs down especoally at yhe start. When the combat closes in ill push with the BBs as a support and punish BBs who get too close broadside with surprising citadel damage. If its more DD and cruiser heavy the game ill push a lot more so we can use its brutal firepower and radar to punish those who get close in smoke. It is fun to go from long range sniping to close range pushing and leading the charge. Just keep your self angled and bowing in as it gets punished easily. I did also find working as a support to others tends to allow more success in the Moskva compared to say the Zao or Minotaur which allows more of a solo playing style if you want as they have the tools to hide and escape.

Same logic could be applied to this proposal. If you have a 6 month to 1 year weekend only subscription that activates everyweekend. Doesn't mean you will be on every weekend end for the etirety of it. So they'd still make money. Just saves people every weekend having to purchase individual days on the weekend like a guy i know does.

Re-read. I said THE naval power as in we were top dog. Until 43 to 44 where the US surpassed us at least in size.

1600s we were gaining traction. Busy taking your colonies! 1700s was the stage where we became the dominant power.

It is a shame when actual naval powers at the time with a decent naval history are ignored. I am English and the RN should have been the 3rd nation into the game as USN + IJN makes sense. Tbh after the RN should have been the RM definitely and then its a tie between the Bagguette mobiles and the KM. After that, we should have added Zulu canoes before the VFM. I am salty over the way the RN has been treated as we were the naval power from the 1700s really until 1943-44. As we have an incredible number of ships to choose from yet we've been demoted below the Soviet Navy which is a real slap in the face. Since we were risking our lives to bring them supplies. However I am glad to see the Baggeutte mobiles on the Horizon, especially Cruisers as I love my cruisers. I am hoping to see the RN BBs, French ships and a few Spaghetti ships this year. Will be a refershing change from Soviet and German fantasies.

Had a Zao tunnel visioning his gun sights and pushed my Minotaur out of the smoke. When I asked "wtf dude?" His reply was how it was my fault and I should of got out of his way as he was in his gun sights. He didn't seem to see the funny side when a dropped 8 torps into him as I sailed off with him raging at me while I asked why he didn't get out of the way as he shouldn't get in their way.

At a guess it's probably down to it being a bigger target and the extremely large citadel that's above water so you are exploding quicker.

Incorrect. It puts it at 0 and overpowers the other flags which increase the chance of detonation. If you have the detonation flag it is 0% no matter what other flags you put on.

Not really. As we relied upon plunging fire our battleships actually should rely more upon range. For example the DoY ceased fire against the Scharnhorst when they got within 10miles of her as they could no longer use plunging fire.
