We are looking into ways to reduce the BB population
fallenkezef replied to Horin728's topic in General Discussion
Aye, especialy if I can get in close, turn briadside, drop torps and take the kill. Only BBs that give me trouble are the German ones with torps, they punish close range ambush tactics. -

Regular thing. I always target cruisers first. Generaly a cruiser plsyer is either better or more insane than a BB player so are a bigger threat. I dont see many BB players that could be considered a theeat very often -

Reallt? Never seen this in my Belfast. Last night I smiked up 11km away from a Bismark and two Bayerns. Pounded the Bismark, she turned and ran at 8km, the two Bayerns followed. By the time smoke ran out I was on 40k damage and had turned the enemy push solo. -
There was nothing left active above the waterline when the Dorsetshire launched her torps. Guns where silent, nothing left of the poor Bismark other than a burning hulk.

Use the new campaign flags wisely

Using mine to get my Belfast captain to 19 so I can train other captains. -
I'm still annoyed that the yanks can buy those 100% captain exp flags but we can't....

If Jerry is bow on to me, I aim a bit higher to get the rounds past the turrets

Only the British can turn a crushing defeat into a victory.

Any chance to WG ''protect'' tier 5 and 6 cruisers?
fallenkezef replied to x16___zoom's topic in General Discussion
EEmerald was screwed against T5 let alone T7 but I never felt Leander could not perform whstever the mm. British CLs from T6 have sll the tools, mileage depends on how mych a player csn learn from mistakes. -
Not had a single, useful super container in the two months I have been playing
-
St least it's teaching the yanks that WW2 did involve the British

The Hood discussions and the Leander bias rant have got me thinking. There are two breeds of Teaboo. The first, the lesser speckled Teaboo, correctly identify the RN as the best (arguably) navy in WW2. After all, the RN fought from 1939 to 1945 in EVERY theatre of war (something not even the USN achieved), fought THREE seperate navies, each regarded as powerful in their own right, used every type of naval weapon and emerged victorious. However this is where the lesser speckled Teaboo stops and when faced with certain counter arguments such as other navies having better kit, the RN's reliance on lend lease vessels and aircraft etc, they tend to get defensive and argumentative. [edited] The lesser speckled teaboo (like the majority of his wehraboo counterparts) fail to understand WHY the RN is so superior (the same reasons why most wehraboos correctly identify the Wehrmacht as the best army in WW2 and fail miserably to understand why). Now, the second species, the greater crested Teaboo, understands why the RN was the best. The RN had the best sailors and the best general purpose vessels. The RN built her ships to achieve any role in any conditions from the Arctic to the pacific and her crews where the most annoyingly stubborn, hard headed, sneaky lunatics ever to sail the seven seas. Seriously, I truly believe many of our ship captains where clinicly insane when you look at some of the stunts they pulled. How does this refer to WoWS? Well i think WG have rather nailed these traits in the CL line with the smoke (British sneaky tactics) and repair (stubborn and bloody minded crews keeping the ships going with bailing wire and harsh language). They are apparently fragile but seem to last forever in the right hands (the replays I've been watching on youtube are very informative in this regard). Now I want to see these traits in the BBs. Look at Warspite, slow as hell to turn the turrets but pretty average in every way, which means no real flaws. Not the best speed, armour or damage, but a solid workhorse that can take a beating if used right. THIS is what I want to see from the British BBs, workhorses that take hell and keep coming.

I have never seen a game with more than 5 BBs. Never feel U cant compete in my RN cruisers
-
My Belfast record stands at 8. Looks like I need to annoy the BBabies more
-
Aue, I do the same, easier to bracket the buggers
-
BBs are the most popukar, it's just a fact and one WG recognises. Woukd I have made the effort in this campaign for T8 CA or DD? Nope
-
Aye, all in all I found it a good deal

CVs everywhere ruining the game experience - when removed?
fallenkezef replied to G01ngToxicCommand0's topic in General Discussion
I've been sunk by a CV exactly TWICE in the last month or so. Both times where due to me being careless and could of been avoided. CVs are more of a nuisance than a threat -
Dunno, at least it's not a "too many BBs, nerf them!" or "BBs too weak, buff them!" whine thread.

I bral in Warspite so a Bismark secondary build was the natural choice anyway
