I honestly dont understand why did they nerf the hell out of deep water torps. This could have been a perfect oppurtunity to control the BB population. But no, they have to add radar to mess with the remaining DD players/UK crusiers...

These new deepwater torps seem really terrible, do they still only able to hit capital ships?

I am playing the game every day, had 10 supercontainers during this event. From all the supercontainers in my whole wows career i got 1 Duca d'Aosta. I am pretty sure the SC drop rate is like 3-5% and the ship drop rate from a SC is the same 3-5%, making it with generous calculation 0,25% ship drop rate from a random container.

Yes you are correct, the Fletcher is the strongest DD in the game in its own tier. I would say its even stronger than the Khaba in tier10 or the Kamikaze at tier5. Its a must have ship in port.

Z-52 is the best torp boat (70s torp spam with the correct build)/capture point contester (6km hydro) in the game with almost gearing level of fire rate and flat super-AP. Sucks to be hit by BB AP tho.

It was never the case in wows, maybe in alpha-beta stage. A lot of premium ships are plain better than the silver ships. Competitive play at T8 uses Atago, Kutuzov, Alabama, (used to use Tirpitz) and Lo Yang, but it is far worse in tier7, almost all premium ships are brokenly better than the normal ones.

The Saipan is stronger but in no way that fun. Its one of my favourite ships and definetly one of the strongest premiums in the game. (Belfast is obviously nr1, and i find the Kamikaze just as strong. Oh and i also have a special place in my heart for my Atago, but the Kaga is Top5 )

For me personally the old +-3 matchmaking wasnt an issue either... The lower tier you are the more xp you can farm, amagi can oneshot a des moines, edinburgh can rape a khaba, kutuzov will laugh on a montana...

Khaba, still OP with a stealth DD in front of him spotting and capping. Zao, best HE alpha salvo in the game. Hindenburgs and Des Moines rate of fire means nothing if you are hiding behind an island. Also, its hilarious when you roadkill a full health T10 BB with those 10 Shimakaze torps. Yamato, as mentioned before, its nice and relaxing lolpenning everything regardless of angle.

Is the custom paintjob that important to you? A normal free to play play will start the whole collection 6 month after you finished anyways...

Yes, sorry to inform you, but these contests usually end up betwwen 3800-4500 base xp. You need to be in your Fiji, have 2 friendly Simses to constantly keep you smoked up in US smoke AND constantly shooting T9 targets. As top tier there is not enough xp in the game to win anything.

okay so finally after 3 month of dry spell (only got some credit flags on top of my 200mil credits) i got something nice. i am pretty sure that was all my luck this year

No AA, very weak against torpedoes (cant heal it back) and covered in 32mm armor making it an ideal IFHE target. Something like a kutuzov will eat it alive.

I particulary like the double Tirpitz divison vs a hakuryu-desmoines-gearing and a double kutuzov divison.

Well, i am starting to think i have to grind out all BB lines and have to play BBs only myself as well. I am trying to play my Zao because of the missions lately and despite the fact it is extremely good at burning down BBs, there are just too many and i am eating random citadels while zigzagging at 17km... also i fearn in my khaba and Z-52 the BB AP salvos the most, which is ridiculous. OH AND PLASE MAKE THE CONQUERORS AA RATING 100 AS WELL, LIKE THE MONTANA.

So if a Benson make U shaped smoke wall the BBs behind will still be able to smoke camp like before.
