  1. I excluded tier 10 ships because they are a really weird bunch, especialy when it comes to DDs
  2. I never said that my points are the reason and i never saw it that way. On the contrary, i believe these are the result of the "Simplicity above all else" doctrine. You think it's hard to counter a DD? Here have radar. It also shows that the devs don't think in advance. Quite a while ago they nerfed DDs and reduced the torp range to at most 10km (with the exception of some high tier japanese DDs) and have introduced two new lines (Russian and German DDs) that have very short range torpedoes. Then they introduced radar (with the average range of radar being 8.5-9 km and the russians having 11.7km range (because stalin i guess), commander skills that detect torps from further away, they gave the german BBs the hydro consumable. So you ask "why did they nerf torps in the first place since they were gonna indirectly nerf DDs again later?" There are two answers: a) the devs are incompitent monkey, though i have no doubt that this isn't the case or b) they don't think in advance and don't have a general idea of the game in their head, rather thinking on how to keep the majority of the player base from complaining for the next patch. One good example of a company that sees what's ahead is Blizzard and the most recent example (it happened yesterday actually) is doomfist. One of Doomfist's counters is sombra. She was introduced in november and up until yesterday she had no reason to exist, she din't really counter anyone. But the devs knew that they were going to introduce a character that is countered by her. We don't see that in WoWs. More proof that the game is getting more and more simple is the fact that all DDs are turning into gunboats (the american, the russian, the german and one line of the japanese are gunboats). Why? Because gunboats don't have to manage things like reloads, take into consideration any changes in the enemy's course when aiming the torps, ambush etc. All you have to do is point and fire. Even if you're not a good shot they can put out so many shells that you will find your mark eventualy. Also they took away mechanics that required skill (like invisifiring from max range, even though landing shots from so far away was very hard) because it's very hard for BB captains to turn a few degrees every few seconds. As sir foch said on a world of tanks video (i can't remember which one), "WG is trying to make the game so simple so that my grandpa can play it and be as effective as a proffesional player". And that unfortunately is the case with WoWs as well.
  3. If you think of it (then oversimplify it), the choices made by the two developer teams are not so different. Here are some similarities: 1) Japanese DDs and Light Tanks: Both started out pretty powerful. Both relied on agility and camouflage mechanics (smoke screens/bushes, small detection range/good camo values). Then came a whole lot of nerfs, and especialy the indirect ones (radar/physics) were devastating. But most importantly people got experinced and can easily counter these two "classes" (people learned not to sail in straight lines/people learned the "good" bushes and can kill you or atleast force you to reposition with blind-fire). 2) Battleships and Heavy Tanks: It's fairly obvious that the devs of each game try to balance the game around them since in both games their captains/drivers are massive p̷̶̷u̷̶̷s̷̶̷s̷̶̷i̷̶̷e̷̶̷s̷̶̷ cowards camping behind everyone else even though they are supposed to be at the front taking the hits so the rest of the team doesn't have to. Both have been consistently buffed with the nerfs being few and far between. 3) Carriers and Arty: Tbh their only similarity is that they both should be behind everyone else and the fact that they both got a buff at some point that makes it harder for them to kill each other (More AA guns and Defensive Fire on CVs/removal of tracers) and they are both a tiny bit harder to play than they were at launch (less powerful AA/more accurate). 4) Cruisers and Medium Tanks: Both of them are the Jack of All Trades of their game, insane DPM machines, they take the good characteristics from other "classes" (torps, some have smoke screens and others have heal (or they can have them all if they are british)/medium tanks have good armour or good speed (or they can have it both if they are russian). They are and deadly for the "small classes" (DDs/Light Tanks), annoying for "the big guys" (Battleships/Heavy Tanks) and no one can stop a wolfpack of them. 5) Premium Ships and Premium Tanks: a lot of them and they are either garbage or god-tier One thing that will say is that (thankfully) the WoW devs didn't go down the "premium ammo" rabbithole.

For those of you who don't know Blizzard is pulling a Tracer's victory pose because a forum post was complaining they were "sexualising" her (http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20743015583). So, why stop at overwatch, let's keep on the madness.

To start off, i think WG are doing a great job with World of Warships. With that said, let's talk about Kongo. From a marketing point she is the star of the show. She is a great ship. She is fast. She is silly. She is kind. Her body seems to be compromised of about 95% steel. Now look at this pose. WHAT? What about this pose has anything to do with the character you're building in Kongo? It's not fun, its not silly, it has nothing to do with being a fast elite killer. It just reduces Kongo to another bland female sex symbol. I have a young dog that everyday when I wake up wants to watch the E3 trailer again. She knows who Kongo is, and as she grows up, she wants to become a battleship. What I'm asking is that as you continue to add to the World of Warships armada and investment elements, you double down on your commitment to create strong female ships. You've been doing a good job so far, but shipping (get it) with a Kongo pose like this undermines so much of the good you've already done.

    Secondary Batteries

I believe that WG should add the equivalent of the "Defensive AA cooldown" for the BBs' secondaries. For instance, you see a DD at 5km, you activate it and A) your seconaries become more accurate, B) the DD's trops get +5-10 degrees of spread.
