  1. I've been playing a lot recently and got my Kongo, as well as a number of 3s and 4s to see what the gameplay is like. Right now... torpedoes are, from a purely disconnected 'what's doing better' the best weapons in the game. They do monstrous damage, reload very quickly, require little to no skill on the part of the user (as lead is figured out by the game) and have no accuracy problems. The only counter you have in a ship is to dodge them, which, in theory, is quite easy to do (turn in to a torpedo bomber pack to prevent them broadsiding you, slow down when torpedoes are incoming) and is easy enough in a destroyer or cruiser. My problem isn't really to do with dodging torpedoes. I've played enough games to know that there is too much of a culture nowadays of not rewarding players when they have properly outplayed their opponents. If a destroyer broadsides me with torps, GG, I expect to die and WP to the destroyer. However, if I as a BB broadside a destroyer... well, any BB player knows what happens. Your shots hit the water. Or, even better, they hit and do 200 damage. I don't want torpedoes to be nerfed. It's hard enough as a good DD skipper to get to torp range and then hit. I don't even really want a downside to them, what I do want however is for guns to not pale so badly against them, though it wouldn't hurt to increase their reload. Tighten the spread of BBs so they don't need to close to torpedo range to be effective - currently you throw your hands up in joy if you hit. I think shells are bugged which explains their low damage, if it's not fix that too.
