When people talk about what if the war had happened later in terms of the German weapons like the Tiger 2 etc, the biggest difference would have probably been in terms of the Soviet Union's capabilities. Yes the Germans could have had the Tiger 2 rumbling across into Russia (stopping every few miles to replace tracks and being abandoned on the battlefield if slightly damaged because they were a nightmare to recover etc). But by the same measure they could have walked into a wall of IS2s and been stredded by rocket barrages etc. Plus in 1939 the German officer corp was highly professional and innovative (Blitzkrieg etc), in comparison the USSR had been decimated by Staln's purges. Going on the same West then East setup those extra few years could have seen Germany attacking a much better equipped and organised Soviet army and they could have just been swamped.
