    Negativvv: Its hard to estimate impact of loosing few % of firechance, true. My guess is that it is noticeble but you feel much better now because you dont rely on fire, its more of pleasant addition. I mean before patch I set enemy on fire after my 3rd salvo. Now I set him on fire on 4th salvo, which is technically worse, but I did actually much more dmg from penetrations, so in the end Im much more happy in second scenario.

    At the start I was pretty skeptical about IFHE and considered CE to be superior. But I changed my mind after some testing on Schors. Im dealing 5k salvos on BBs regulary now. With DE Im still good at firestarting, but in addition to this Im dealing constant damage. So where CE gives you some options IFHE completely changes your playstyle - you are not firebug, you are dmg dealer now. So to me DE and IFHE are clearly superior skills for 150mm guns.

    If they are moving to "wrong" side, usually best way is to join them. Its better to go wrong side as a group than die on better side alone. If you are refering to behaviour in chat - this is unfortunatelly dark side of internet - you are annonymous, you have no responsibility=you can be [edited]. If there is something what makes me leave the game it is behaviour in chat. People keep forgeting its just another video game, nothing more. Funny fact is that the most ranting one is usually one who died first (which was obviously your fault, ofcourse). The only solution is sadly turn chat of or leave game. Its not about game itself, its about player itself, so it cant be fixed...

  7. It kinda suprise me, I expected fully secondaries on german ships in general...what confuses me is CE on Scharn - does it really make the difference? I honestly never seen someone use it to gain advantage...either ships is on fire and cannot hide or captain is trigger happy and uses every single opportunity to fire...contrary to it AFT/BFT which is working every single game to me...

    Hitting the Citadel of a Scharnorst/Gneisenau

    Its all about angles and caliber. Yesterday I scored 2 citadels on GK in NC at close. He was probably turning thus made his turtleback worthless. T7 ships has bad bow armour, they can be easily citadeled from front. Also hiting from distance can result into citadel easily (if you hit 30kts moving target on 16+ km, which is far from easy)...its not common, but they are far from imune to citadel....funny fact I never citadeled German ship in another german ship if I recall correctly

    Fire prevention + damage control mod

    Well thats what was point of new patch - to make no must have skills. And it looks like they did fine. Right now maybe Last stand and concealement for DD, but otherwise you have plenty of options. While my Bismarck will probably have full secondaries my NC is going to have Fire prevention and some T3 skills. So no, its not must have. Its just another valid option, its up to you. My feeling is that I never had problems with fire if I did not mistake - either I kept distance and disengaged when fires were too intensive or I go agresive so multiple fires are inevitable and I will take huge dmg anyway. But I might be easily wrong

    I've tried both builds and like 203 more. 155 stealth build was very good in some situation, but also pretty boring to me. With new captain skills it can be even stronger - IFHE will make you salvos much stronger and you need less skill points to reach CE. But as I said I went with 203 as it is more fun to me, I like fighting in first line. Never found if rudder upgrade is better than concealement, would love to have both. Anyway 203 firing angles were buffed few patches ago, so it was much more comfortable to play with. I would definately try it out if you like IJN CA.

    Oh man, maybe its time to calm down. The fact is that forum is not playerbase. Its not only about size, but also about mindset - people on forum usually do it to improve their sklil or find more info. But game like this is based on player looking for causal fun for few moments a day, nothing more. They will never go here. Yet they are the most important part of playerbase. Sounds weird, but listening of forum only is mistake already made by few companies. Thats why afaik game analytics are more and more popular in gaming industry. So if I can be honest - on one side there is company with experience, very solid playerbase, all data and people to test. On the other side there are bunch of players theorycryfting. Or making conclusion based on their few games. So if you ask me about which side is stupid...honestly same rant was about giving sixth sence to everybody. People claimed end of game and so on. World still goes on. Noone say voice of forum is ignored. Its just not as relevant as you think. Its just one small piece of bigger body. You also dont make conclusions based on single choosen factor but on overal feeling, right?

Everybody expected end of IJN DD and torps and unplayable game and so on. And guess what - nothing happend. Actually it seems to me that there are more players than before. Just saying...

    You know what is the problem? I've seen many people saying this when sixth sence was given to everydoby as feature. Everybody claimed its the end of IJN DD and torps. That it will make WOWS unplayable. And so on. And guess what? Nothing happened. Actually game have more players than now than before it. So dont get me wrong, you made fair point - RPS is actually double edged sword, something people overlooked. It is not must have for any DD. But it doesnt mean IJN DDs are over. Game simply evolves. WoT in first year and WoT in last year? Look like two different games...WOWS is changing as well. Take it or leave it, players are leaving game every day, news are joining every day. No ofence.

    lWell honestly I dont care how do I look like. All im trying to do is to be constructive and use brain before making conclusion. Which is kinda rare here, especially during past few days. And I understood your point. You maybe missed mine - yes, In case of convoy formation first ship is able to estimate position of nearest enemy ship. Which basically means you have 180° area of potential danger. If there are more ships, you can get better guess. But still - what does it mean? Would you run away? Enemy ship win. Would you stay at course? Nothing changed. Would you change your course randomly? Well thats what you should do anyway. So what changed to me? So yes, Im mainly CA skipper. But lets be objective here - it gives you some information. Any information is valuable, no doubt. But how important is it? If I meet competent BB skipper in my DD I have very little chance to torp him anyway. If he knows about me, he can easily avoid torps. He knows my position after seeing where torps come from. He should expect approtiate position of enemy DD, its not like DD jump on you from nowhere. He knows danger is present very soon - if he is spoted but enemy ship doesnt open fire, it must be DD...so...

    There is something Im missing - if BB is alerted, what does it mean to him? Given the fact it has cca 15km spoting range it means any CA/CL/DD is present...which is same information you have from sixth sence. You always know if there is something around even prior this patch...you dont know if it isnt ship 14 km away, right? So whats the difference? Im trying to use WASD hack regulary when spoted, this changes nothing...

    The question is if its worth it. Honestly my main dmg in CL is fire...doing direct damage looks nice, but it take ages to bring BB to zero HP with direct damage...where otherwise I need to set few fires and leave... For ships like Akizuki it looks awesome thought...

    And people who die in 15+ mins are average. And people who dont die at all are campers. And blablalba... I remember few times I died in less than 2 minutes. What does it mean? I took down 2 DDs, lit third on and secured cap, being at top 3 players XP wise. So? Its not about when you die, but what did you do during that time. What you suggest can easily lead to campfest.

    Information on RPF?

    There is little problem with test servers - while they provide some data, they actually cannot simulate how would it looks like in live server. Not only population on test server is tiny, but also playstyle really differ - you dont care about bills, xp, stats, who cares if you win. You just want to try something. So any answer is basically guess...and i bet even WG is not completely sure. The more - on test server most people wanted to try this perk, so it could be actually used much more than it will on live. So basically better to wait till tomorrow. My guess is it wont have such huge impact on gameplay as it is seen by many. There are some really good perks around now, especially for BBs. My bet is that majority will take AFT/FP/Manual secondaries. Cruisers on other hand can give you some hard times, US DDs as well...but...lets see. The only real problem with RPS I can see is that if your prey is closest enemy (and thus being targeted by RPS) he will get announcement. But hey, even today you know when spoted and everybody know you basically need to wasd hack...yet torps are still viable option. There are still plenty straight line sailing ships to torp.

    Well thats what I experienced during first test, but didnt try in second. What confuse me is statement on main page: "the player will see an indicator on the battle HUD pointing in the approximate direction of the nearest (unspotted) enemy ship". So did you try it during second test?

    Bismarck or Tirpitz

    Im kinda suprised how many people stress only secondaries on Bismarck...looks like its Bism secondaries vs Tirpitz torps...which is not fair. The biggest asset od Bismarck is hydro, no doubt. Secondaries are far less usefull than its credited for. Sure it will help in brawl, but its hydro what makes Bism so great. Honestly NC is better suited for pushing, but if you try it you either run into torps or you are forced to hard break...which is basically the end. Bismarck can and will avoid torps with ease while applying pressure on enemy team where Tirpitz will have huge problems. I dont think you would charge into smoked DD with Tirpitz. You can easily do it in Bismarck... My point is that you should not only compare their close combat ability but also if and how they can abuse it...

    Didnt know that about shell weight. Still, I cant see what does it mean to penetration value. Penetration itself in not only dependent on velocity and weight... And it doesnt change anything on my point - Scharn and AGS guns are not same.

    In other words you can unlock ship only by playing previous one. Only Phoenix can unlock Omaha. Only Omaha can unlock Cleveland. And so on.

    Oh, really? My AGS has better shell velocity, thus better penetration, much better accuracy and better damage per AP shell. Only caliber and reload time are same. In the same way you can say Montana and Colorado have same guns... To me AGS is nice ship, the bigger drawback is its tier. Anything at T6 suffer from MM. Otherwise Im more confident in AGS than in any other T6 cruiser.
