    Weather effects

I guess a prototype event for the first few minutes of the battle would be awesome. While it's unlikely to happen as devs have some other stuff going on which has priority, it still would be cool to have bad weather conditions which mostly hinder the ability to see further than 3km for the first few minutes, and makes planes unable to take off for instance. The weather changes to better conditions afterwards to result in the battles we currently have. Just as a random intro... nothing you'd expect before the battle, just to give you that wtf feeling... .p Having them as a totally random occurrence would totally change the pace of combat though, which is quite too much to ask for the beta, more so when the devs clearly have the goal to get this stuff shipped this year. Higher waves also sound like a huge issue, as it would screw up aiming, physics (which results in less performance). I totally hope this happens some time, but I'm sure we will see submarines before having that...

    Tunnel vision remedy

NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION ahr... this is all. edit: too rare of an occasion, forcing people out of sniper view would be too annoying aswell.

Poll: Should Wargaming allow the XVM mod for WoWS?

Just get rid of stats in general, or make them optional for the player (privacy settings).

    Victories/Battles Win Ratio

Dropped for me aswell, apart from players getting the grip on the game on their own, the new influx of players changed the "quality" of the battles in general, mostly at Tier 6-8 (Sims... .p, love mentioning this again and again, it's a Farragut with less guns... at a higher tier, and most people can't play with that "penalty"). This is not a bad thing, I don't complain about that at all, just something to be expected. What I don't like about this though is, that some rounds feel like a waste of time from the start nowadays (like huge clusterf**** on both sides, playing round robin). MM isn't done yet aswell, as for instance it seems to pick Tier 5 ships for T8 games (division related issue), even though the pool of players is quite large now, but yeah, beta stories. In general it's those uneven battles I'm not enjoying at all, which again, is part of the beta, I just want to give reasons why stats drop. .p In general I despise stats though, more so when important information are missing (divisions % for instance), as they result in toxic behaviour.

    Atlanta Class Premium Cruiser

I wouldn't take that for granted, statistically it's easier to hit the Atlanta, despite having a lower profile, she needs to close in to 11km, while a Cleveland can stick to 14km+, which is a big deal, as the Atlanta hits a sweetspot, which makes BB effective in dealing with cruisers. I think more range wouldn't really fix her issues at all though (being kited), as the agility totally ruins any attempt to prevent damage to begin with. I'm fine with her main advantage over normal ships to make more credits, but as of now it just works when your opponent ignores you (which he just shouldn't).

    Atlanta Class Premium Cruiser

I'd say, in its current state it's not worth it, it's beautiful, but the lack of agility (11s rudder shift time), low gun range (11.1km), and useless torpedo range (4.5km), make it a one-trick pony. Apart from that, Tier 8 ships get the ability to totally wreck your camo advantage, totally ruining your day (even without scout planes). What it totally delivers, is its role as an AA escort, but good luck with that when there is no opposing carrier present. The torpedoes are just a gimmick, which get used in maybe 1 out of 15 games to useful effect (sacrificing the Atlanta in the process, unless you're lucky), and while the credit multiplier results in huge amounts when the opponents allow you to acquaint them with your shells, you can't really expect everyone being so polite. Sadly doesn't justify the 9000 tokens, it needs more agility and ~6km range torps (and a lower credit multiplier). But... it's a very beautiful ship .p

Atlanta - Curtain of Shells delivery vessel

Yeah well, the short range and slow rudder shift time, make this more of a prestige vessel, which can bully unaware players imo. It really shines as an AA escort, anything else is... heavily dependant on how inexperienced your opponents are. Extremely beautiful ship, which you pay a lot for, both in tokens, and combat effectiveness. ;]

Team-damage/tk, how will they do it?

That's something which hardly can be automated, unless it's a very clear condition, in general this can be exploited easily though, so having an XP penalty isn't viable (eg. a griefer could steer into your torpedoes on purpose). The report system is probably not implemented yet for that reason, as there is quite a chunk of data necessary to reproduce the incidents, so I think it's a good reason to collect proper screenshot evidence for the support. This will be made easier for the player when replays are available, but as of now it's important to report bad behaviour (with evidence).
  9. Hm this makes the tier 5 skill way (iirc it's name air superiority) more useful on IJN CVs, but yeah well... so is the AA stuff for USA, but quite interested how that will turn out, although it probably cripples the sparse reserves even further, I like that idea though (mostly figher related).
  10. ... seriously, what a grand plan to sell a Tier 7 pre-order ship with beta access. While it's a terrible ship to begin with, having new players try to torpwall their 5.5km range torpedoes, just to teamkill or block off strategic positions, pretty much just asks for a post like that. This is not enjoyable at all, if you're new stick to tier 1 and get the gripes of the game, instead of being an utter dickhead. Spamming sorry all over the place doesn't cut it, i'll report every single incident in that regard, I don't care if you're new, if you can't think of the risks it takes to fire torpedoes from the second line, you're just an imbecile, so deal with the consequences.
  11. Did you even read anything else in here? I'm growing tired of being made responsible for this utterly imbecile behaviour, my point has been made clear often enough, I'm not going to repeat myself.
  12. Hm I'm not sure, I mean the topic was created when in both cases the round pretty much just started, it was Domination and not a single point was taken yet (I was in a Benson and headed for taking spots). I actually don't even remember getting sunk by teammates under reasonable conditions (potential BB in the line for instance). To make it short, I got sunk twice by friendly torpedoes so far (short ranged 5.5km torps, while the opponents where at distances over 15km), and this happened twice in a row, which resulted in that topic. There was another incident where a friendly player dropped torps into my direction on purpose, but that was some weeks ago (I obviously reported him). I wouldn't blindly report teamkills, I can see on my own if the sacrifce is worth it, and in the case of a Benson evasive action is also reasonable to assume. But getting sunk after like 2 minutes is not something I tolerate. So basically, maybe we met, but the torps you dropped must have been like 2 minutes into the game, with ranges that wouldn't have reached the target (in both cases it was the Sims). Battleships also were at the south, while the incident happened in the north (which means there weren't even Battleships rendered, let alone anything else from the opponents, the game just started) edit: Map was Ice Islands, with 4 Domination points.
  13. Because of briljant stetagies. edit: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/10791-people-to-ban-in-cas-of-space-shortage/ what the... I don't even... xD
  14. That's actually a good point. Is it possible to even enter Random Battles the second you create an account? Isn't it necessary to play Coop at first to reach account level 2? Just bringing it up, as this would make it even more ridiculous to assume that new players don't know what torpedoes might do (which is briljant strgeties ofc).
  15. No idea, quite experienced in cheating death. .p
  16. The initial post was obviously a short fused reaction, it clearly reads like that, the following "discussion" revolved around something completely different. I don't care enough to edit this out, I'm not here to farm honour or be taken seriously.
  17. xD also: wawawawa hadn't happen it for 234345 games... To me it happened twice in a row, and that mattered to me at that moment, end of story .p Seriously, if this thread died in a few minutes like I expected it to be, it would have been at page 18 already and no one would care, but some guys blow this into completely unnecessary proportions. I had bad variance yesterday, I grew over it after 10 minutes, but all those misconceptions from most of you guys lead nowhere, as you whiteknights don't seem to get the idea behind the post - and while I don't blame you for that - you come up with utterly ridiculous arguments (which I totally blame you for). I'm not a toxic player at all, while I occasionaly tell my team what I think of the current situation I don't insult anyone, I'm not an elitist, I don't intend to mock new or bad players (I just don't care), I just think you're an utter retard when you can't think of the consequences when sending eels from 1-3km ranges at high speed into your teammate's direction (Sims...), this has nothing to do with someone being new.
  18. To all these beings who said it's elitism or that I should just have fun... This mess of a thread came into existence, because I got sunk twice in a row during the first 2 minutes of the battle (Sims). While the initial post apparently suggests to not play higher tiers from the start, this is not what it was meant to be. I don't expect anyone to read everything in here, however, telling me to have fun is a valid reason to doubt your reasoning. In general, teamkilling sucks, it gets you reported (and from what I can tell banned in some cases), that's the basic idea behind this thread. I obviously have fun, but don't feel like explaining why, as those who'd ask couldn't even read so far anyway.
  19. I don't understand why some guys still come up with this newcomer stuff... it's solely about being dumb and spamming torps into your teammates. To me it doesn't matter if one is new or bad, however is it too much to ask to just use your brain, and not be a threat to your own team? I don't even care if people try to spam 5.5km range stuff at 15km targets, it's perfectly fine to me to not read every single stat before trying something, it's just about being a numbnut who doesn't think of consequences. Some make it sound as if you need to experience what happens when you send a high damaging slow moving (in relation to shells) object into the direction of nearby teammates (1-2km... you don't even need the minimap to realize this). So my point still stands, you can downvote me for that all you want, if you think that's to be expected from a new guy to teamkill at those low ranges, you'll find out soon enough what screenshots can do with your account.
  20. Yeah well, I think the other 2 premiums are actually solid choices, although the Yuubari might give a wrong hint, it still supports the primary role of cruisers in general. But the Sims, apart from being at a too high tier for a "starter package" ship, completely lacks the strengths of her class. It's a gunboat like the Farragut, at a higher Tier. I also don't get why Jingles advertised it as a solid choice. You learn the hard way, that US DDs play like that at mid-tiers, but jumping into this kind of gameplay from the start, just makes you rage-quit, unless you're a fast-learner (which the majority isn't, and I don't complain about that at all, just to make it clear, it just frustrates people though). edit: Like the Lowe in WoT... lol, it gets the job done, but you just expect something different from a Heavy when getting into the thick of it, consequently this tank has a bad reputation, while being an awesome tank destroyer .p)
  21. Yeah, but that was something completely different then imo, Torpranges and Speed were different (low speed, higher ranges), resulting in torpedospam. But regardless how new you are, firing high speed torps at random ships, without even caring how many teammates are in between (and we're talking about ranges between 1-3 km) is just dumb. I've met new players who used their brain, and actually contributed a lot, kudos to them, I basically just discriminate dumb players. edit: again, being bad/new is totally fine to me, I don't care at all.
  22. Just to clear it up, I'm NOT complaining about new players, everyone has to start, nothing wrong with that. I don't complain about bad players either. I also think everyone is free to play what they're up to, more so when they paid for something, HOWEVER! - and this probably doesn't get reflected properly in my initial post - if you spam your torpedoes from the second line (and it doesn't even matter that they have a range of 5.5km and the opponents ship are at ranges beyond 15km), and hit your fellow teammates, I will relentlessly report you for teamkilling. I'm aware that this could have been more constructive, but I got sunk twice in a row because of this, at totally different occasions, as I tend to learn from my own "mistakes", and it resulted in an utterly useless topic, but letting new players know that they should think before doing something is probably still reasonable enough for a topic like that.
  23. What? I report them for teamkilling... maybe the idea behind my post drowned in that pool of rage.

Bad closed beta survey questions [e-mail]

Heh, I bloated those surveys with walls of texts, but those were from weekend tests, or forum announcements, apparently they're just looking for a statistical overview from new testers these days.

    Fletcher too killable?!

A properly played DD carries the outcome of the round, as if everyone uses that trash aimbot now. Just don't expect to always succeed in stealth runs, and learn what other purposes those little buggers can have, it pretty much gets thrown into your face at mid-tier US DDs. Rely on your team to soak up shots/attention, and fire your eels at closer ranges instead of always being the lone wolf who spams walls of torps without being seen. The latter tactic isn't meant to always succeed, more so when people learn to not stay on the same course all the time. If you want to be a submarine, wait some years til they announce them, that's when you can rely on stealth, at the cost of mobility. Seriously... saying High-Tier DDs are at a bad spot now is just wrong. BBs are, and I'm not even playing those things.
