it's not even 10% like WG said but more, don't know why but it's OP as hell. And my heavy cruisers like Witchita that were fun are absolutely trash now. Slow, sluggish, long reload and 15.8 km range with BBs hitting almost all shells now. Before that maybe a few shells hit when I angle right or sail straight but now, double the shells hit and you are deleted quick when playing heavy cruisers. And even while it's a Premium ship it doesn't have any heal compared to 4 or 5 on the Prinz Eugen. Cruisers and secondary brawling BBs are nerfed and no fun with this rework. Especially the heavy ones because with many light ones you can still shoot over islands or have smoke for example. And check this screenshot, says enough about Dead Eye. No wonder all BBs play from 20 to 23 km from the targets, you hit easy, won't get in trouble yourself much and the game rewards damage farming too much any way so why help at caps. If you play BBs and you don't play anywhere near a cap but get 100K damage or more you still end up first place. Dead Eye really needs to work like get more accuracy the closer you are to a target, so BBs will play closer to the caps and support too. So on top of dispersion another extra accuracy.

I've never understood at all why only tier 9 and 10 cruisers (and some Premium tier 8 cruisers) have heals. Why doesn't lower tier cruisers have heals? not really logical and fair imo. Because BBs are just as powerful vs cruiser in those tiers. Playing tier 6/7 (or lower) cruisers after grinding higher ones really have no point. WG probably want players to skip to high tiers with doubloons->free XP. I also don't understand why can cruisers be Dev striked or killed in 2 or 3 shots by BBs even when angled but BBs only have DDs being able to do that which is 10x harder (torping) than just fire a high AP damage bunch of shells against another ship. There is literally nothing that can Dev strike a BB, but cruisers get Dev striked by BBs, DDs and CVs. Cruisers are just the worst class to play especially after this patch with Dead Eye. And too many BBs can overmatch cruisers, what's angling? almost never useful anymore, you just eat a lot of damage any way. Especially when having those great +2 tier MM's. With this rework/Dead Eye, cruisers are even trolled more and taking damage like a pinata. BBs are really the easiest class to play, there's a reason why we see 80 to 100 BBs waiting in queue daily and only 20 cruisers and 20 DDs and 6 CVs. That's the case for already years but is also never addressed. If 1 class is so over-represented compared to others it also says something about the state of the game. And now only sniper BBs are really viable, so I guess YEY we'll have 100 sniper BBs in queue, 20 cruisers which get trolled by those Dead Eye Joe's and a bunch of DDs that play a mini-game without backup in the Caps, and if you survive as a DD there, you can then troll some camping BBs. This META sucks. I play this game since launch (aprox 5.5 years), have spend around 2500 euro's in total on it, but I was stupid and won't spend anymore money. Not even 1 Euro. Even bought the Pommern for my birthday in September and a Tirpitz B with Black Friday to be nerfed into uselessness 2 patches later. My mood to play cruisers besides maybe the fast French and Italian ones? gone. My secondary builds, gone, mood to play the whole game, alltime low. Well at least the free Battlefront 2 is here to cheer me up, which is actually a very good game now. Really hope WG fixes the game but I don't have much hope with their silentness and previous actions in the past years. P.S. About cruisers, I think they need more HP and heals in the lower tiers too, so in all tiers.

I already have 35 other BBs like that, Georgia the best! I want my secondary builds back. At least the same as before, but should be even better since we also lost a heal and helping at the caps/tanking damage needs to be rewarded and will lose more HP than BBs sitting in the back sniping.

I've heard more people saying secondaries still work but almost in all times they were talking about USA ones. Don't compare them to the German ones, they don't hit anything unless you fire from kamikaze 7 km or lower range. If you play like before the patch at 10 to 11.6 km (or more, nice extra useless range, lol) you will only hit around 10% with secondaries with a full secondary build (tested with Pommern), totally useless. And I'm not only talking about hitting DDs, but they also don't hit cruisers or even enemy BBs. I'm playing almost only DD now (without Dazzle), I'm laughing and crying at the same time when I'm spotted and German secondaries start to fire at me and hit the water in a radius of hundreds of meters around me, it even looks silly, it's just visual fireworks.

Too bad I wasn't aware at that time, I bought the Pommern for my birthday that month and also bought Tirpitz B with Black Friday (Atago B too, didn't had any of them also not the regulair version). Both are garbage now while full secondary brawling was my favorite play style. I really hope WG will fix it but until then my wallet stays closed. I used to spend 40 to 80 euro's per month on this game for already 5.5 years, so imagine what they are missing from me alone now and imagine when probably others are doing the same. I've heard a lot of people saying I won't spend money now, really hope they mean it. And then it's in EVERYONE's interest that it will be fixed, for us as customers and WG their bank account.

meanwhile cruisers get Devstriked regulair, and already were the pinatas of the game, worst class to play now. Just aim better. Better accuracy should not be seen as a bad or worse thing, if the aiming goes wrong that's ones owns fault.

Those numbers I mentioned before: having 350 hits almost every match before the patch were often at 10 to 11.6 km, so if the new secondaries now are only useful at suicidal ranges of 5 to 8 km then it it's still a worthless build. Why would I want to be at 5 to 8 km from a target, and mostly it are multiple targets, I'm not crazy, lol. So secondaries are only useful now when you are on a Kamikaze run and play a german BB with torps so you atleast have the chance to sink 1 enemy. Also very logical to increase German secondary ranges with this patch if they can't even hit anything decent when you're further away than 7 or 8 km. The update messed up the secondaries big time. -

oh yeah I was a whale since launch and spend around 50 to 80 euro's per month mostly. I have most Premium ships but now my wallet stays closed unless they fix the commander rework problems soon, which I honestly doubt. The money I already spend is spend but they "lose" all money I would have invested each month if they don't fix and balance their game properly. -
Most important thing imo to fix this captain rework is to make secondary guns hit again like before the patch. At the moment they don't even hit anything with a full secondary build. About 10% accuracy, 50 hits in 500 shots fired what a failure. And change Dead Eye skill for example like this: Program Dead Eye by making it more accurate the closer you are to a target you fire at. Like no extra accuracy at 20 km and further away, 1% better accuracy at 19 km, 2% at 18 km, 3% at 17 km, 4% at 16 km, 5% at 15 km and so on. Meaning having the max 10% better accuracy benefit at 10 km and closer from the target you fire at. Honestly I don't think BBs should be more accurate as before the patch because they were already the strongest class imo, BUT it can also but a good thing if it's implemented as above because then you give BBs actually a reason and incentive to play more at the frontline and at supporting at the caps. Something the game really needed for already a long time.

Yes they don't hit anything anymore. I've tried the Pommern secondary build I used to love and the secondaries only have a hit percentage of about 10% now. Fired 560 of them, only 54 hits, 11K damage, useless. I used to have around 250 to 350 hits per match on avarage, giving like 30K damage or even more.

1142 shots fired and only 197 hits, geezzz, this captain rework really is the worst thing that happened to the game since it went live. I play it daily since launch, about 5.5 years now and I didn't even care so much about the CV rework, I think this rework is worse. Secondaries are totallaly useless now, making a lot of Premium ships we paid for useless, not hitting anything and then WG also gives already camper BBs + everyone that wants it now too a skill for only 4 points for 10% more accuracy. Who ever came up with these ideas should be fired. I bought a Tirpitz B and Pommern in the last 4 months which are both crap now. Bought an Atago B too and won't play it or any cruiser until some fixes. BBs in general were already OP and with this Dead Eye even more now. Cruisers are really the piñatas in this game. So I only play DD now, because I refuse to take part in the Dead Eye BB play myself too. Apart from these secondaries that don't hit anything atm, I think WG should program Dead Eye by making it more accurate the closer you are to a target you fire at. Like no extra accuracy at 20 km, 1% better accuracy at 19 km, 2% at 18 km, 3% at 17 km, 4% at 16 km, 5% at 15 km from it, and so on. it did 15% of the damage in this match yes because I didn't do well with my main guns, I was testing my secondaries and was fully focussed on doing that so I was engaging ships I normally would have taken a bit more distance from at first. If I played like I do normally (longer in the back and later use secondaries) I would have gotten an avarage of 95 to 100K with this ship because I could fire my main guns much much longer (96K is my avarage damage with Pommern). The % of damage here between secondaries and main guns says nothing about that if secondaries hit or don't hit. The fact that only 54 hit when there are 560 fired when engaging enemies about 5 minutes is a joke. It couldn't even hit a Shima at 9 km while my secondaries fired a full minute at him, only 9 hits. Before the patch my secondaries did around 30K damage with only about 300 hits. Go figure. Now 11K damage with 560 hits. that's not a sligh nerf, that's just useless. For 11 captain points putting into secondary gun skills. -

lol?! the update is terrible. It's best for BBs that were already camping in the back before rework and best for new BBs that are going to camp in the back now, so for all BBs for the best indeed (except secondary brawlers) to not play objectives and just damage farm from 20 to 24 km. It takes only 4 points to make an OP sniper BB and it doens't even need concealment expert when you sit so far in the back. All other classes and ships need CE. And it takes like 11 points more to make a secondary gun build BB (not even count the CE points) and are useless now. Secondary guns became a little worse and enemy BBs have 10% more accuracy and they and all other classes will shoot at you. So why play German secondary builds? And I bought the Pommern and Tirpitz only a short time ago, money spend and ship became useless now. Secondary builds were my favorite and are destroyed. Cruisers that were already weak in general will now often get Dev striked in 1 or 2 shots, yes it's probably for the best this patch, amazing good patch, FOR CAMPING BBs indeed. Which you are probably one of else you wouldn't be promoting this new captain rework. Have fun playing with your OP sniper BB when everyone else gets destroyed easy that actually trying to play the objectives and cap. -
I think Dead Eye doesn't even belong in the game, we already had too much BB camping and BBs not playing/help at the objectives. Or they can make it a reward for playing more close to the objectives and frontline by giving the extra accuracy for playing closer to the enemy instead of the ridiculous skill how it is now and rewarding 24 km sniping from the spawn. Adding this skill is one of the worst decisions WG made. Besides the long range sniping and absurd camping even cruisers are nerfed this way by getting a Dev Strike on them even more often. This game is becoming worse and worse since launch and I'm taking a break and stop paying. I used to be a whale and spend more than 2000 euro's since launch about 5.5 years ago and played daily. If WG doesn't feel pain in their wallet nothing will ever change.

@thoso1973 sorry quoting went a bit wrong :p see below: it now costs 4 skill points for a total of an amazing 35% more accuracy to secondary guns. I''ve heard secondaries are buffed 20% by default too (or still on test server) but that's for ALL nations. It's not enough to make them usefull without the skill to be accurate so you still have to take the skill. And because other nations have the same default buff German BBs gets nerfed compared to them.

I play this game daily since launch about 5.5 years now and I used to whale around since the launch of the game too, but no more money from me WG besides maybe a few doubloons now and then. But not the 50 to sometimes 80 euro's per month I used to spend. This captain skill rework is a disaster. All you had to do was nerf a few really OP ships like the Thunderer and Smolensk by lowering their firechance per shell. Revert to old system and keep the new visual style only. You made german BB secondary builds useless, cruisers even more weak, current captains less good because many skills cost more points, going from 19 to 21 points is almost impossible too, you encourage even more BB sniping and HE spam (it already was a camp fest), you're ruining the game.

I bought the Tirpitz B this Black Friday and Massa B last year, very good news and great decision by WG..... most of the captain rework and new/modified skills looks very bad now imo. Gives nerfs to ships who don't need nerfs, buffs to ship who don't need buffs, skills costing too many points for what they are worth. I hope they will fix it before it comes to the live server but I don't have much hope. -

In the first years, and I play since the start about 5.5 years ago, I got discount coupons that were valid on almost anything in the Premium Shop (website) every 3 months or so. Now you only get coupons via the Armory ingame and only once per half year.

Too many doubloons, so much grinding and still pay so many doubloons in the end? I'll skip it only for this reason alone, but I'm not really interesting in the ship as well. Nothing special imo.
