I'm really looking forward for Submarines, but not at the status it's currently at. Or atleast what I've heard/seen about them last time I did. I didn't play them yet, because I didn't have a chance to. But I've been looking at YT videos and following the news a bit. 1 question I have is, why did WG go for homing missle torps? I think it will be very boring to play. I've heard later on they will give the option to use manual torps as well and give them higher damage if you use manual torps... is that still how it is now on the test server? Because I think it will be boring to play with homing torps. Normal torps, with normal aiming are much more satisfying to play with when you hit someone, instead of pinging enemies and the torps will do their magic trick for you. Obviously pinging through islands will need a fix and pinging and spotting DDs in smoke as well. Lots of Radar for them and CVs spotting all the time is already terrible enough, can't imagine how impossible it is to play as a DD if subs will perma spot you as well, lol. -

If WG insists on introducing a consumable to help potato BBs that sail in straight lines at tier 8 still and increase the torp detection for that player, they should never set a fixed distance of 1.8 km. Because all torpedoes of the DDs we have are different, dectection distance, torp speed, damage... they should implement it as a + x% (percentage) just like the Vigilante captain skill we already have. Like another 10% extra spotting range on torps. It would be way more fair. I don't know who at WG thought it was good idea to introduce the 1.8 km for ALL torps detection for a certain module, that's just stupid and very lazy programming. And let's hope they will think about the deepwater torps that can only hit certain classes, you can't just boost the dectection from 800 meters to 1.8 km. -

They are advertising proudly on their Shop website that the Siliwangi has only 800 meter torp detection, but they fail to mention it will often be useless after the next patch. And how many percent of the WOWS players you think are on the forum reading every little detail about every change and patch all the time (or even read the forum at all)? You expect everyone that want to buy any new ship will put the forums under the microscope to find some hidden detail that maybe affect their ship somewhere in the near future? I would be the same as our Dutch government advertising for a new car saying hey this one rides excellent at 130 km per hours, but failing to mention that all maximum speed limits on the highways will be reduced from 130 km/u to only 100 km/u a few weeks later. -

yes let's just change the only one advantage deepwater torps have (low detectability) to Japanse torpedoes which can been seen from the moon detection. And remember you can only hit certain classes with deepwater torps. So there always need to be an advantage over the normal torps, either low detectability or a much much higher speed. The Silliwangi I bought doesn't even have a high speed torpedoes like Asahio for example, Silli's torps only goes 62 knots and 10 km range. Asashio 72 knots with TA skill and still have 16 km range. The rest of Silli is not too great either, so if they nerf all deepwater torps like crazy, this ship is one of the most affected ones. -

Yes and I won't buy anything from them unless the ships are balanced fair. The detectibility of deepwater torps should always be much less than the normal ones, else they should make them much faster. I've bought many Premium ships before, not one that has been nerfed into infinity yet, but if this stupidity with the DDs makes it to the live servers nerfing my Asashio and Siliwangi to become almost useless, I won't buy anything ever again from WG. -
But the problem is the ship is mostly never detected. I have the 16.6 km build (you can even upgrade it to around 19 km I've read) and you can stay in smoke most of the time in a battle and outside radar ranges. With IFHE it does quite alot of damage on avarage and still have a high chance on setting fires because the RPM is also very high, many shells, very quick reload + nice chance on fire per shell = very high chance on fires throughout the matches, activate hydro when going in smoke so you can dodge incoming torps... About the stats, Smolensk is on rank 4 of the best tier 10 cruisers and because many bad players YOLO with it and die quick with only making for example 10K damage or none, they let the avarage stats of the ship drop so much that it seems to WG that the ship is not OP. But in the hands of a avarage to unicum player the ship is very easy to play. The biggest problem with the ship is it sets too much fires and too quick and the armor is so thin that AP does almost nothing to it. By now most players know to use HE against the ship so that's less broken at the moment, but the fires, fires fires...... must be nerfed.

What use will PAN Asian deepwater torps have. Will they have the same detection as most other DDs like the USA and German ones? The only reason to undo the damage by increasing the torpedo detection range so absurd is by increasing their speed a lot, I mean really a lot.... How can WG say; yeah you can take a module that makes them a WHOLE 5% faster, BUT oh btw. your deepwater detection will increase by 225% when some BB decides to mount some dumb OP new module. DDs already are the most difficult class to play, I know what I'm talking about since I play all classes for already 4 years, only CV not so much. As a DD you need to spot, avoid and dodge CVs coming after you all the time, need to dodge and avoid all the radar ships, you need to cap, always expected to cap by the whole team while the rest are camping and often not supporting you in the cap, and now they will nerf torps into hell? -

So I've just paid money and bought the Siliwangi with an advertisement from WG that it has 0.8 km deepwater torpedo detection range and they will change the modules next patch so every BB who wants can see them from 1.8 km? What kind of joke is this. From 0.8 to 1.8 detection?!!!! what use will my deepwater torps have, and nice advertising and money making from WG, what a scam -
yeah I've bought the ship when it came out before I knew it was so OP, I regret buying it, wish I could have my coal back. It's a no brain ship, spamming OP RPM and fire chance HE shell ship, from smoke, with hydro, with long range torps, with great AA, with good shell arcs, it's an Anlanta on adrenaline and crack and it destroys the gameplay. I don't want to play the ship, I don't want to piss off other players and farm damage easy, so she's a port queen, but that's stupid really.... They should rebalance the ship asap, but I don't think it's going to happen, because it's been a long time now since the ship was released. Still hope WG does something about it though. And yes I play less high tiers now because of that ship and some other OP russian BBs and so much radar when I want to play as a DD.

Hi Seadog67 you're welcome to our casual clan if you want to play Random Battles in Divisions. We have a Discord server but it's not a requirement to join. We recruit active players that can play twice a week or more if possible. We don't play clan wars but do like to play the game with some teamwork in Divisions besides grinding alone. Hi Piponxs, I don't know if you are looking for a casual clan to play random battles in Divisions or a more competitive clan that also plays clan wars, do trainings, must be online at voice chat etc. We are the first type mentioned. We have a Discord server but it's not required to join it when becoming a member of the clan. We only expect you to play atleast twice a week if possible (with exceptions ofcourse). We are looking for active members to team up with in Divisions and to earn oil for the clan so we can unlock the next clan buildings asap for many discounts per clan member. lol, it was just a question because I thought we always got the new Directives on Mondays and found it weird to suddenly have it on a Tuesday, not the beginning of a week. Which is not totally strange if you think the Directives goes per week and weeks imo begins at Mondays. But apparently it was never this way but per every X days. I just got the ship and will test her now.

Did any one else noticed the new stage only starts until tomorrow? Why does it only starts at a Tuesday? All other Directives started at Mondays if I remember right, which makes more sense. Yesterday I've opened the 6th bundle and saw the tier 6 is in it. I thought I could buy it today but now I see the Directives are not available yet, I can't. I can't get enough tokes with the daily missions. I was really looking forward to try her out today but guess I have to wait another day :(

After the latest update Thursday all my mods are working except for the Ships List V1 (or V2), the icon bar above where you see the class icons but with additional info like tier, name, and it's HP. Why is it greyed out? The Mod Station updated again this morning and it's been a few days since the WOWS update now. Are the mods not supported anymore (illegal)? -

Yeah 65 bundles, looool. 1000 doubloons each..... if you have bad luck and all ships are somewhere at the middle to end of the row, you pay alot of money for some lame signals and camo's. For ships that are implemented in the game for free soon.....

The bots are all way too much kamikaze as well, it seems like when you get within a certain distance it triggers a "I must ram the enemy" command. I see them kamikaze ram players or other bots all the time. I only play Co-op for the snowflakes event, because the matches are so short, but this is not how the game mode should be. There are plenty of players playing only Co-op. It's not fun when you can only shoot 3x as a BB and then the match is already over, having to wait more than a minute for a new match to only shoot a few times again, lol. Really in some matches I saw 4 or 5 bots ram other players or bots in my team, it really was a ramming fest
