actually, i like the idea of flags being rewarded after you achieve rank 1 X times. And with this 5 different flags should be enough, imagine what the file will look like after some years (it is like 3-5 new flags every year, no?)

If i remember, you share XP in wot if you have spotted the enemy first, even if the other tank can see him shortly after (and this is why you have yolo light tanks players). spotting damage xp awarded if you are the only ship that have spotted is a very good idea, hope it will be implemented.

Yeah, it's tru that CVs at tier 4 and 5 feels more like sealclubbing if you know what you are doing, and at tiers 7+ planes are just annoying, not a real threat. It is true also that with all that nerfs, CV mirroring is now not very necessary. At high tiers there is so much good AA ships it will not be a problem.

the major problem here i think is the MM and AA mechanic for CVs. if you are in a tier 6 CV, encountering tiers 4 to 6, you can do ok, it's doable. But fall into a tier 8 match, or in a tier 10 match with your tier 8 CV, and you can feel yourself almost useless. The +2 tier AA on ships is crazy insane, your planes melt without even dropping a single bomb/torpedo... So you just scout and try to sink DDs, eventually do long range drops, but it is risky also. The most frustrating part is that AA is automatical, doesn't involve any skill, you just have to press cntrl to select the planes. I never fear planes when i am in my cleveland, kutuzov or atlanta. Their AA dps is crazy insane, even without using the AA consumable. This will probalby never be in game, because it must be noob friendly, but a minigame when you attack a ship would be nice: you take control of the planes and try to avoid the flak, at this time the captain of the attacked ship can go in "AA mode" and try to kill your planes.

well, with the BB/DD meta we had last season, i don't know... she isn't as good as the atago (concealment and heal), but the higher ROF might be a + But in order to shoot you must show yourself, which can be deadly, in Atlanta you can rain fire all day long behind an island. It should be good for cap protection. we will see, anyway i will surely try it in this season

But that don't work too: if ever for a microsecond your ship nose emerge from the cloud, you are visible for 3 more seconds, even 6 and 9 if you were too fast. my stats in USN DDs have faltered by around 50% in exp. after 5.5 -

Sorry for that. But even if me, who is normally calm in my post, begin to throw insults, it should tell you something. A hidden change have RUINED DD gameplay, and WG says "it was always like that", what do you expect? That we move along saying "ah ok... no problem"? Remember the shitstorm when there was the BB AP bug? It is the same here, but as it concerns DDs, nobody seems to care. -

i can't even... DO YOU EVER PLAY THE GAME?????? WTF ARE YOU DOING DURING SUPERTESTS? Was playing yesterday in Blys for the DD missions, and the following now happen: DD encounter at cap, i shoot at him, he pops smoke -> "it's not very effective", since every 3s he will pop out of his puff of smoke and be visible for 3s, so essentially he is still visible to me for a good 10 or more seconds, in which time i rect him 2 more salvoes, and the CL salvo from behind put him to swim with the fishes. NEVER was it happening before 5.5 so stop your [edited]! Before, he would pop smoke and escape, turning and blinking for less than a sec, so i could do just some blindfire to him. I too become very disgusted with WG and supertesters thinking we are idiots.... edit: except Admiral_noodle, he is a nice guy and at least aknowledge the problem -
just a remind: you just get more XP for a victory, silver reward is the same, win or loss. so even if you are going to lose, dealing good damage/cap will still give you the creds.

I think it's because not many % of players study the exact game mechanics, they just "sail their ship". and if i remember RU gameplay is way more aggressive than EU one. Meet in the middle and shoot everything. -

well, if you take all the idiots of the planet and make them dance, you surely wouldn't be in the orchestra... There is a major difference (at least for people who had studied and understand all of the game mechanics) pre and after 5.5 for detection mechanics and smoke. Especially the one playing american DDs, who uses smoke agresively and often. But the most frustrating thing is WG attitude: "this was always there, nothing to see, now shove your useless boat up your bum..." Even with videos showing that it wasn't like that before... great way to broke the confidence of players in the game...

you can have the old map if you want, everything is parametrable in battle via on/off buttons in the map options (the gear). Just pres ctrl and choose what you want displayed.

as stated in the video, the biggest problem for me is now the smoke don't maky you invisible the instant it is popped, you stay visible for 3sec each time you are out of smoke, and it was clearly demonstrated in other vids too that it wasn't like this before 5.5. You were in smoke -> you were invisible, except when a ship was near 2km or enemy popped sonar/radar. As for the always visible bug, maybye it is produced only in certain circumstances, when a DD fires, then pops smoke, the visibility is up to 20s like it have never popped smoke?

was about to post it, but it shows only the lack of blinking using offensive smoke, there is no permaspotted bug. Anyway, this "new" 3 s "feature" is annoying as hell. I'm 100% sure it wasn't active with smoke before (DD blinking when he charges with smoke -> so before smoke stopped visibility immediately after he popped smoke). i cant record my gameplay, but i have seen the permaspot bug at least 3 times since 5.5 -
what happen when, for example, you've got the Emden before, but sold it. Can you get it back for credits or do you have to rebuy it with doubloons?

i'm not talking about blindfire, but about DDs being seen and targeted normally, when they are sitting in their smoke, which never happened before. And it is a hard nerf for all gunboat DDs, my fletcher performance become abysmall after the patch.

But the problem never was about the 3 seconds. Maybye it was shorter before because of longer loading times, now it works as intended, ok. The problem is with smoke, the only defense of DDs, being broken now. Before when SA icon disapeared, you were SURE that you wasn't detected anymore. Now you sit/sail in smoke, thinking you are undetected, but the enemy can still see you and fire aimed salvoes at you. Heck, i even have seen DDs apear sudenly in the middle of their smoke, for no reason (no radar, no plane, no ship near with acoustics). They apear all of a sudden, staying still in smoke, and immediately get focused and rected. And no, it is no histeria, if even some of the best DD players around have noticed it.
