    another interesting thing about new shimakaze torps from Zao: they are the cheapest ones "only" 650 per torp, the stock are 900, the upgraded 1200. So it will be more economic to use the 8km ones, that makes an economy of 8250 per full 15 torp salvo.

    Low calliber HE-is still a mess

    Necrothreading, but oh well True, it is frustrating to do 0dmg with small caliber guns... they already do less damage than higher calibers, so why 0 damage? I would prefer to have some damage done and fire nerfed, because now it's the only way to damage bigger ships with peashotters in high tiers...

    with all possible options, shimas detection range is 5.97... So when using the Zao torps with the torp perk, you have 6,4km torps going 81 knots... Window of invisifire is pretty low, even lower than with minekaze, but 81 knots... i must try that Time to set some traps behind islands, like USN DDs in low tiers

    Thank you for the answer Ectar but people are always frustrated, no matter what you do. Now we are frustrated that you are not communicating enough, and then BAM! you put an update with new stuff, for which people weren't prepared and don't like it... I for one prefer to have a near future (couple of months at least) vision of the game, so we can anticipate some changes early. If you don't meet the deadline, who cares? I prefer comunication before the fact, so we don't have a clash like when the patch with hte armor bug come out...

    so that will completely nerf the invisifire shima... oh wait... what would be the point of playing anything else than shima or yamato at high tier? All Cruisers will become visible the instant they fire, so BBs can get their juicy target... and gunboat DDs will receive the same fate... If they don't redo the angling mechanism, i fear for the high tier gameplay... Now you can get citadeled from the front... imagine if you are detected everytime you fire.

  13. I don't think mogami was overperforming, it was doing ok, and was on par with Atago. She couldn't penetrate easily BBs, but was murder incarnated to DDs and CAs if they were close. So lets nerf mogami, instead of buffing the other ships... great idea /sarcasm

    well, radar is more fatal to my fletcher than my shima... In fletcher i play more agresively, trying to hunt DDs, and you must come closer because of the skyrocket orbital space program balistics of your guns. SO when you go chase a DD, and then found he have budies waiting for him in a corner, you can't use smoke anymore to escape: You are focused by everything and you die. In shima i use my guns after the first half of the match when there is less ships, and i NEVER come closer than 10km of a CA that have radar. I will found another prey, or launch from 10km when they are ocupied at something else. So radar have nerfed the only real threat to shima: High tier USN DD....
  15. well, the game wasn't so bad to watch, because i looked mostly on the map to see the tactical deployements But the transitions were too fast for certain actions, they didn't focus on the most important things, it showed that the "cameraman" didn't know WOWs. But it is a good start, hope we will see more competitive gameplay for WOWs. As for the premium ships: the problem is the constant nerfs, instead of buffs to regular ships. Why premiums are so good? because they weren't nerfed to death, like certain ships (my poor mogami...). If they have retained the turret speed rotation and fire distance for the 155 mogami, as it was with the cap perks, i would have prefered to use her instead of kutuzof... but now i have sold her and i try to found some of her playstyle with kutuzof. Also, it would be very bad to ban oremium ships from certain modes. What would be the point to buy them? So i can get some more doubloons only in random games? No thanks... So maybye if instead of constantly nerfing ships, they begin to buff those who are not on the same level, the balance will be right? Remember: if everyone is OP, nobody is!
  16. i think WOT could learn a lot from WOWs... this system in WOT would be a lot better, and maybe then light tanks will have some purpose again.

    but the radar nullify the CE anyway... you will be spotted from around 10km, no matter what your detection range is.

    i'm having that dilemna too, but for my soontobe gearing captain... take DE and SE, or SE and Concealement... the concealement is well worth for IJN, because you torp more. USN DDs fire dem guns more, so they are more likely to be detected anyway... taking CE on gearing gives you "only" 660m less detectability than shima. Can people using DE and SE instead of CE give their opinion on the playstyle? thx

    actually, i agree with Genai... And for your information, ladies and gents, THERE IS NO SILVER BONUS FOR WINNING! Period... Winning just gives you 50% more XP, and since the F2P wall in this game is money, it is always better to do damage/cap than win. Another thing is that your XP/silver gain is based on the % of damage you do to a ship... So everyone (who know how to play), shoot at DDs and CAs, since doing almost 1/10 of damage you should have inflicted to a BB, you got 10 times more in XP and creds. BBs should give much more rewards for hurting them, like it is now, they are the last appealing target... (we are still talking about high tier games here, 8+, lower it is more balanced)

    hmm... before the nerf, i would say 155mm mogami without a doubt, but now... my prefered are: DDs: Gremy, benson, minekaze, shimakaze, kiev before nerf, błyskawica BBs: Fuso, nagato CVs: Langley and independence CAs: Mogami before nerf, Cleveland, Aoba, Atago, St. Louis and Kuma If i had to choose one? Shima, since it was my first tier 10, and you can't not love 15 torp launch (well, except if you are on the recievieng end )
