Well the excitement would be in the eye of the beholder. For me, it is exciting. I love the history in these ships, and this one participated in one of the most daring commando raids ever, and essentially tied up the Tirpitz in Norway for nearly 3 years. It is certainly more interesting, to me, than other nations entire tech trees (not mentioning any names).

Bloke mentions he is new back after 6 months and is unhappy with the minor changes to WOWS in 6 months. Mentions the RN. Response is a garbled mess of insults "ZOMGBBQRN" etc Not "Hey man, well there have been some changes, they may be bringing AA from CBT back, shame about the RN, but its been discussed. " Surely we need to encourage players back to the fold, not behave like a bunch of squawking parrots repeating the same trite about someone else mentioning YouKnowWhatNavy

I follow this thread everyday waiting for news on EU navies ... I have heard (without source) that the VMF will be fleshed out completely before other lines added. Is this at all confirmed?

I would like to add that I have been in a similar position. I lost 10/15 games, mostly tier 7 and my WR plummeted, the reason? I have been grinding 5 lines simultaneously, and at the start of my losing streak, had a stock Fuso, NY, and Yorck. So not only was I advancing a Tier, I was in a new stock ship with a new playstyle. I am slowly starting to turn this round as I am getting the hang of these now upgraded ships. It is a frustrating experience.

I think there are better KGV class candidates than Howe. Whilst she is a beautiful ship, and was a key ship, she isn't as decorated as some of her sisters. I think its likely that one of these three will be a premium, I think I would like DoY personally. KGV had a very similar career to Howe, but was involved in the Sinking of Bismarck, and the was present when Japan surrendered. PoW caused a mortal wound to Bismarck, was in action in the Med, the Atlantic Charter was signed aboard her, and she was sunk with force Z in the Far East. DoY hosted Churchill and FDR, escorted convoys, and was responsbile for the sinking of Scharnhorst at North Cape (I think she holds the record for most shells fired at an enemy battleship during a single engagement, but I may be wrong. Straddled Scharnhorst 31/52 salvos, in blizzard like conditions)

Chose HMS Hood, but if Howe were replaced by KGV, PoW, or DoY I would pick one of them. Just out of interest why did you chose HMS Howe? I thought she had a relatively quiet war?

HMS_Dauntless has it bang on. Italian navy would have been brill, they had some interesting BBs and Cruisers. RN could have been after French and Italian without any issue for me. Its not anti-Russia sentiment, the reaction would be exactly the same if they they put a pan-asia, or a Swiss tree in before those massive European navies, its more, WTF WG?

Ahh my bad, I misread your original comment. I agree, to boost popularity, we may find unpopular ships becoming powerful, and popular ships becoming less powerful. Ru BB's and CV's scare me. I still won't play them though ;)

How about historic events? For example: IJN vs USN. No markers, bigger map, no paper ships. Date is set, and only ships with in the appropriate time span are allowed to compete.

I dont recall making any? genai, when I said realism and gameplay, I clearly meant realism in terms of Ship models, reflecting attributes/performance of RL counterparts, I didn't think that needed to be specified Gameplay wise, we want a fun game, within the current limits of this arcade game. Obviously if a realistic game was implemented most of the time we would be watching empty seas, consulting maps, completing RAS, etc. Which probably would be quite popular, but not in WOWS. Popularity wise for cruisers, you're wrong I'm afraid. Last 2 weeks EU Server: Type/ battles played DD 452,847 CA 766,281 BB 482,634 Cruisers are nearly twice as popular as other ships.

I have had 3 disconnections recently. the only time this has previously happened was on CBT. I have a stable internet connection, a decent rig, and no mods.

Kerbal Space Program has great communication between developers and community: Devnote Tuesdays. This was established as Devs kept getting asked where Unity 5 was, why xyz wasn't working, why wheels were broken etc. They wanted to keep the community, the players, so they developed a regular 'Devnote Tuesday' to keep players in the loop. It manages the customers expectations, and has reduced the whiny threads about content missing. I would love to see something like that.

It's great that you feel that way genai, but I think the lack of popularity of Soviet Cruisers, shows that made up, or relatively unknown ships, are just are not as popular as the big names of more famous navies. I think the community as a whole wants realism and gameplay

Some excellent points there. I really hope they modify their strategy before it is too late. But based on their insistence to push irrelevant premiums, are they flogging a dead horse? In the last 2 weeks Soviet ships accounted for 2 out of 20 of the most popular (by battles played) ships in WOWS. They are a new line, so should be so much more popular. And it is not that these ships are under-performing, by Win Rate, they occupy 7 out of the top 20 ships (EU Server). Popularity: (Number of spots Soviet ships occupy out of the top 20 most popular ships by battles played over 2 weeks) 2/20 on NA 2/20 on EU 6/20 on RU 2/20 on Asia Something is amiss. The sinking of Wilhelm Gustloff and Goya are truly harrowing
