Hi all, I have a question about the choice of upgrades for the Icarus. Which modules would you recommend taking in the 2nd and 3rd slot and why? For the 2nd slot I’m thinking about either: Engine Room Protection (-20% risk of engine and steering gears becoming incapacitated and -20% engine and steering gears repair time) or Hydroacoustic Search Modification 1 (+20% consumable action time). Both seem really useful. Engine Room Protection because the engine and steering gears of the Icarus can get knocked out pretty easily. Hydroacoustic Search Modification 1 because it increases the time you can spot ships in smoke screens, submarines and incoming torpedoes (with a maximum range of 3 km for ships and torpedoes and 2 km for submarines at maximum depth). For the 3rd slot I’m thinking about either: Main Battery Modification 2 (+15% main battery traverse speed) or Aiming Systems Modification 1 (-7% maximum main battery shell dispersion and +20% torpedo tubes traverse speed) or Torpedo Tubes Modification 1 (+5% torpedo speed, +20% torpedo tubes traverse speed and -40% risk of torpedo tubes becoming incapacitated) or Smoke Generator Modification 1 (+30% consumable action time and -5% smoke screen dispersion time). Here all four upgrades also seem really useful. Main Battery Modification 2 because I often have to wait for the turrets to be in position to fire when I’m dodging incoming shells or when I’m turning away from ships sailing towards me. Aiming Systems Modification 1 because it will make you hit more main battery shots by making them more accurate and the improved torpedo tube traverse speed can be handy situationally, for example when you find yourself with enemy ships close by on both of your ship’s sides. Torpedo Tubes Modification 1 because it will make hitting enemy ships with torpedoes a bit easier due to the increased torpedo speed and the improved torpedo tube traverse speed can be handy situationally, for example when you find yourself with enemy ships close by on both of you ship’s sides. Smoke Generator Modification because it will allow you to use the 6 smoke generator consumables not only for disengagement but in that case also for firing a bit from smoke screens because they last longer. Hi all, I have a question about the choice of upgrades for the Akizuki. Which module would you recommend taking in the 4th slot? Right now I’m thinking about either: Steering Gears Modification 1 (reduces time to full speed: -50% to time for reaching full power and it increases engine power when the ship starts moving), or Propulsion Modification 1 (-20% to rudder shift time). Steering Gears Modification 1 seems really useful for changing directions a bit faster to be able to evade long-range incoming fire. An added benefit would be that it also makes dodging torpedoes easier. Propulsion Modification 1 also seems really useful when you need to get to full speed quickly. For example when performing ambush torpedo attacks from behind an island or when you are in a smoke screen and need to move quickly (when you spot incoming torpedoes). Also, it would make speed adjustments (during knife fighting with other DDs when you want to throw off their aim) easier. I’m curious about your opinions on which of these upgrades would be best to take! With kind regards, Tryfonus

Thank you all very much for your kind advice! Based on your opinions I have chosen to go for the Propulsion Modification 1 and I like the improvement in acceleration a lot!

Hey everyone, I recently started playing CV's and I started with IJN CV's. Most upgrades were easy to choose but now I'm not sure which upgrade to take in the 4th slot. Which of the following three upgrades would you recommend for the Ryujo and for what reason? - Attack aircraft mod 2 - Torpedo bombers mod 2 - Bombers mod 2 I seam to loose my bombers the fasted to AA fire, however as an IJN CV you will do most damage with your torpedo bombers so choosing for torpedo bomber mod 2 over the bomber mod 2 would also make a good case. Then attack aircraft I also use a lot to hunt (and scout) DD's. I am curious to your opinions. With kind regards, Tryfonus

Is perhaps already known around which date submarines will become available again on the main server? I really look forward to playing them and am hoping that they will be added on short notice!
