4x CV's in one and the same battle? Is that becoming the new "normal"?
steviln replied to Yaskaraxx's topic in Archive
Have they buffed the Pensacola? Earlier when more people played them, they seemed so easy to citadel I almost got a bad concience when shooting at them... -
south dakota-class Battleship alabama is coming

Guess they do the same as the japanese DD tree, as there still are four relevant american BB classes not added to the normal tree active in WW2. Also hope they add the japanese CL the same way in the future? -

You can still burn BBs by HE spamming them. Maybe not the counter WG prefers, but it still works. I do however think that it was a mistake to nerf the IJN torpedoes. But the Pensacola is a chronic piece of crap, nothing to be done about that. Worse ship in the game. I do think that the american cruisers should be buffed. They should have better survivability, because they mostly removed the torpedo tubes from them because they had a bad habit of blowing up. -

The cruisers are not suffering, the cruisers are whining. It seems that cruiser captains think they have some God given right to be the most important class ingame? I actually prefer 5 BBs in a game rather than one CV even when playing cruiser. Even a single cruiser with a medicore captain can come into trouble from CV if sailing alone. -

You are both evil and insane..... What is the problem with 5 BBs per side really? -

Whining is the ultimate weapon in this game. If other groups whine and you do not, you end up with your favourite class getting nerfed into the ground. -

Yes, it is important for people who hate CVs to whine more than the BB haters, so the BB haters does not get their will and buff CVs and nerf BBs. -

Interesting how it consistenly is the "Beta Tester" and "Alpha Tester" people that defend CVs? -

There are no CVs in War Thunder. So if CVs become common again, it makes the little differences that make War Thunder more fun than WOWS again. You earlier complain about my stats, and one reason they are poor at times is that I often simply go and suicide if there are two CVs per team in the battle. Better than to start again and get a new battle without CVs. -

Because when playing to deal with them, I think the game becomes boring. One of the things I most dislike about the game is the need to stay close to your teammates, and that get even more pronounced when CVs are present. Rather than play the way I can deal with CVs, I prefer to play another game, simple as that. -

The CVs still need to be nerfed. Only when nobody bother to play then anymore have the gotten nerfed enough. I also noticed that everyone that claim to love CVs seems to be Beta tester or other with early access to the game. -

You are a religious fanatic..... That only causes the BBs and CAs to stay together in a massive lemmingtrain at the back. -

There may have been aircraft present, but the battles around Leyte were the only surface actions where aircraft played a very important role. And when both sides had CVs, the CVs only targeted each other until the enemy CVs were either sunk or had retreated. Surface actions where aircraft aggressively went after BBs and DDs were a rare occation indeed. Such a game should therefore either focus on surface actions or carrier battles. -

No, the CV only make the game not fun to play, and should never really have been included in the game in the first place. I think WG have made them less interesting to play on purpose, out of fear of losing the users that play other classes of ships. It feels like a "arrogant elite" versus "silent majority" issue. The arrogant elite think that CVs is a good thing, while the silent majority of medicore and poor players simply hate them. And people that think that CVs are effective against camping should be labelled as a religious cult. If anything, CVs promote camping because ships become so scared of endig up alone! If the CVs come back in force, I simply go back to playing War Thunder instead. -
Yes, I guess it is a tradeoff. However, when bow tanking, even a not very good player like me can easily burn a BB to death. However, it seems to me that a lot of cruiser captains have some moral reservation about HE spamming from maximum range? When playing a battleship myself I never get burned to death. However, I do other mistakes that usually guarantee an early death and medicore game
-
Which make me wonder about the gameplay of many BB captains. When they stay bow on and often stationary, they make their ships very easy to hit for HE spamming cruisers. I have noticed that the german BBs often are more sensible by keeping on the move rather than being stationary.
-
I also think they are easy to set on fire on higher tiers because of their large superstructures on higher tiers.

May make some sense with the Dunqurque, but when I saw all the Tirpitz doing it at long range in Ranked battles. it almost drove insane. Had to only play DD so I did not have time to get annoyed by bow tanking german BBs on my team I still struggle to understand why people do it even with the Dunq, as bow tanking stationary BBs are extremly easy to hit for HE spammers. -
Off course I dislike martians. They spend most of their time trying to blow up the earth. Thank God Duck Dodgers are there to stop you!

It seems you look at the profile of another forum user rather than attempt to answer his arguments as usual?

Do BB`s CL`s and DD`s need each other?
steviln replied to Dirty_Filthy_Scrublord's topic in General Discussion
So you mean that real ships like that should not be included in the game? Quite a few ships were designed to be a kind of "light battleship, cruiser hunter" in real life, so see no problem with that type of ship being included in game.
