CVs do not need to be "fixed" but removed from the game entirely.

And that have been happening a lot lately. I get constantly set on fire by Bismarcks and even some Iowas when playing a cruiser these days.
-
And that is certainly an improvement.

British Battleship line - Everything I believe is FUBAR + Suggestions

Any details? I have failed to find any serious plans for anything more powerful than Lion? -
British Battleship line - Everything I believe is FUBAR + Suggestions

They did not have any serious plans for it. As the biggest and most experienced naval power, the understood how useless such ships would be before anyone else. They simply preferred to build more ships rather than more powerful ships. -
BB's - Something needs to be done before more are released.

Why do you prefer games with less BBs? -
I remember it was a bug with that some months ago, but thought it had been fixed? It would explain it though.

I did not chose to be dumb but you chose to be an [edited].

Usually yes, but I suddenly see this happen a lot almost over night. That is the reason I am a little bit suspicious. I am talking about 20 or 30 second after no longer being spotted.
-
I think it happens to long afterwards to be flight time. What I suspect is that someone made a MOD where you can see where an enemy ship would be after it become unspotted, if it keep the same course and speed?

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Saw Atomskytten in his Kutuzov while I was using my Des Moines. The enemy BBs burned well in that match -
Actually, in stark contrast to WOT and WOWP I think WG does a very good job when it comes to the paperships in WOWS. When they have to use fictional top tier ships, they usually come up with ships that seems like something the actual powers would actually have buildt had they continued to build capital ships. And stuff like the Montana og Lion does not feel totally paper, as their construction were supposed to actually take place, had they not been cancelled in almost panic by the poor performance of BBs against airplanes.

A Detailed Look At: The Released British BB Cards
steviln replied to mr3awsome's topic in General Discussion
In this instance they had to use imagination because the british did not have a "super BB" like the Montana or Yamato even on paper. The reason seems to be that they were the only major naval power that understood how little use such a ship would have. Even the french and russians had concrete plans for more powerful BBs than the RN, but history seem to show that the RN was right and everyone else was wrong on this issue. -
Surprised he did not HE spam you

But the "normal" gamers have many other games to play and then can even make anti SJW Youtube videos when they are bored with gaming. So why not let the history fanboys have their game and go off and have fun with something else?
-
The North Carolina is quite well known among battleship fanboys. The reason being that it is often compared to the Bismarck and Prince of Wales in the litterature since it was the american equvalent to those ships. It is also one of the few post Washington treaty battleship classes. It also had a sistership, the USS Washington that is one of the few BBs to actually defeat another BB in battle. So I would not say the class is without historical interest or significanse. What we see is that during the last two weeks NC have seen 92k battles and Amagi 70k battles. The NC is more popular by a health margin. Especially if we look at tier 10 where the Yamato is more popular than the Montana and at tier 9 the Iowa is more played than the Izumo. Add to this that the Amagi have better stats than the NC!
-
You still use those two examples, that are very untypical of surface battles in each their own way. On the other hand, the fact that BBs in real life were so rarely employed they way they were supposed, may be an argument against the usefulness of the class as such? However, you are pointing to an interesting difference between the game and real life. It seems that in real life, DDs and cruisers actually got a relative advantage when the ranges were artificially close while in the game it is the opposite! Maybe cruisers should do more damage to BBs in close range than they do in the game today? Good to see british BBs in the game finally, but sad I have to convert my Minotaur to a museum ship
-
Would a dutch cruiser tree be possible? I would like to see dutch ships in the game, but admit I want to see more ships from countries like France and Italy first.
-
I for my part think that spamming BBs at max range is much for fun than being an AA battery for BB Steve.
-
With that huge and easy to hit superstructure high tier german BBs have, they need that turtbleback armour so they will not be to weak against HE. I stopped the german line at Bismarck because I was tired of constantly being on fire. They are especially useless when they are bottom tier, since they are totally impotent in the long range sniping meta of tier 9 and 10. My Alabama does a much better jo against tier 10s than the german BBs.
-
But the ones that would sail british BBs are the same using BBs already. We have already seen that adding new DDs and CAs to the game does not alter class balance. There are to few different BBs in the game, and if no new BB lines are added some people may start to get tired of the game. No need to add new CA and DD lines there are minimal interest for, while the lines people want the most are held back.
-
Why? The extra number of DD and CA lines in the game have not decreased the ration of BBs.
-
But adding more cruisers and destroyers now will propably result in even more ships barely anyone uses. We already have several more destroyer and especially cruiser lines than battleship lines, without that helping. It will propably just result in many players taking a break from the game in wait of the next BB line.
-
I would say battleships as interest in the game can drop if we get more new lines that few people care about. Let the MM more actively make exclusive BB versus BB matches to solve the following overpopulation.
-
We are looking into ways to reduce the BB population
steviln replied to Horin728's topic in General Discussion
They propably think they will lose more players by doing something about it than not doing something about it I guess.
