And this is likely the root of the actual problem. If the PC is as old as the OP's posts seem to indicate, then it won't have USB 3. It will be USB 2 with a frankly atrocious data transfer rate compared to onboard SATA. Move the install to your internal HDD and profit.

Just finished a battle and got booted out...

1) Kawachi. Get in close, like 5km. Fire broadside. Every flipping shell misses. Rinse and repeat. FML 2) Yubari. Much weaker that it should be at tier IV. 3) Sims. Why. Just Why. Even the bloody shell flight time indicator lies as it can't believe it actually takes that long. 4) Sims 5) Sims 6) Sims 7) Sims

I think the patch has been good, apart from the contentious issue about Situational Awareness. The only thing I have noticed is that I seem to get microlags occasionally when stuff is occurring in the game, like other boats being spotted etc. I didn't experience this in the PTS at all, and the PTS version I had was running off a traditional spindle whilst the full game is running off an SSD. Work that one out! (I did a fresh install as well)

You might well use that option yourself. It's what the rest of the mouth breathers in your team do that makes all the difference...

Ocean is OK in 3 cap domination mode, but I think it would be drastically improved with the new weather effect during the whole battle period. That would make it a hell of a lot more immersive and tactical. Strait on the other hand is awful for anything above tier 3, its just far too small with the current spawn locations. All IMHO of course.

That's useful information. Didn't even realise that setting existed, I know its been getting right up my nose since open beta when your ship just starts turning really hard all by itself when you are trying to clip an island for example. Ty!

They don't. That said, however, there is sufficient information for you to keep a track on your performance and make sure you are satisfied with it. If you need to do more than that in an arcade based ship game with a huge dollop of RNG and measure yourself against everyone else right there and then... then you are starting into the whole e-peen thing and we all know where that leads.

Sims is still pretty, still fun to play, and still about as much use as a bag of spanners in a gunfight. Yubari still seems OK to me, and the Grem seems to get spotted more somehow?
