There was a shortlist (Makarov, California and Orkan iirc) which was not announced because there had been a shortlist in a previous year and "nothing had changed" in the crate mechanics, so the player base should have known that there was a shortlist without actually being told there was one.

Interesting. It'll be because the dub cashback is calculated from the cash value if you use the buy any amount of dubs option, which does not scale the same.

Just because your team does something stupid, doesn't mean you didn't as well. Which is something I try and remember before I start venting on the forums.

In general, if I'm not capping in a DD it's likely because I don't think the risk I'm putting myself in is worth the potential payoff. Whether that's because there are too many enemies or not enough support or misjudging the situation. Unless I'm in a div with people I know, I'm not going to make moves that I think are risky when there's no likelihood of success. My hit points in my DD are far more use to me than someone else's health in a BB skulking around the map edges whilst I get battered to death my the other team supporting their destroyers.

5 camos out of 9 crates (at least I think, I'm not really counting). Mid Autumn festival for Warspite Lunar New Year for Huang He Great Gorgon for Shokaku French Navy for Mogador Flyfire for Gearing So potentially three (two actually) useful camouflages. Extra camos for premium ships feels like a waste and a cynic might suggest that those are in there to (a) increase the visible drop rate of camos and (b) push people towards buying a premium ship so the camo isn't "wasted".

Could be I'm slightly misrembering things here and it's using the anniversary date as my join date. But I'm under the impression that in previous years I got my coupon in June.

I got one on my anniversary until last year, when it changed to the WoWS anniversary date instead. Could be the same thing here?

I like Mysore, but the reload feels like it's too long given her lack of other tools for causing damage if 152mm AP isn't going to hurt the target.

Yes, I got mine back after a 3 week wait. But they did manage to [edited] it up and take everything that dropped from any Santa crates including the free ones from missions etc. The PayPal payment was refunded quickly (back in my bank by the time I got home) on the same day. But I did have to chase them and specifically ask where my doubloons were that they didn't refund. When I asked about where the contents of the free crates were several times, I was told each time that they were using a "system" which was precise and accurate and told them exactly what should be removed from my account. Then someone took it on themself to close my ticket for me. Eventually, after raising another ticket asking that a specialist look at it (and potentially also Yabbacoe looking into it) I got the contents of my free crates back. IIRC, the second ticket from the specialist was answered late the next day and my stuff was returned.

Latest from WG towers this morning is that my stuff from the free crates has been returned. I don't want to keep tagging him, but thanks to YabbaCoe if it was anything from his end. Or it might have been the new ticket I opened about the error. Either way, the stuff is back.

They closed my ticket for me. After assuring me that the system was fine despite me missing some stuff that should not have been taken, mostly Abruzzi. Despite me having to ask for my doubloons to be returned as well as my Paypal money. Why ask me what dates I want the stuff removing from if you're just gonna take everything that dropped from every crate?

"Accurate and precise"....it really isn't :P I can take the loss of camos and flags, even grudgingly the coal as I can't remember exactly what came from where and my captains and ship tree progress are where they should be. But I *know* that ship dropped from a crate I didn't pay for, that wasn't part of the refund request and shouldn't have been taken. And then they closed the ticket for me. Yay! I'll be interested to see how other people with complicated requests get on. Mine was fairly simple, I bought *these* crates on *this* date and would like them all refunded. Not just the ones that didn't drop good stuff, everything refunded. Then 3 weeks of nothing and they instead wiped EVERY crate that I got, from missions, from the calendar. One job lads, you had one job. I hate to do this as it's not your fault, but @YabbaCoe where do I go from here?

Not by card, but my Paypal payment was returned today. I received the initial email fro Wg at around 1500 today, so I can't fault *that* part of the process at least. Aaaand ticket closed. Not on my end. Support people keep insisting that the "system" is correct and has removed the right items but it wasn't able to return my payments without me asking where they were. And I can't get my ship back apparently. Despite that being from a free crate.

So the short version. Support appear to have taken everything that dropped from any Santa crate obtained from any source. But I didn't receive my 9000 doubloon refund until I asked where it was and I am still waiting for 2250 to be returned if they're going to take everything from every crate. Tech tree progress is still there, captain XP is still there, I had a few captains who were retrained after the crates dropped and they are sstill trained on their new ships. And latest from WG support.... we have a special system that tells us what to remove. So you removed eveything from every crate. Fine. But where are my missing dubs then?
