The HE damage is nerfed but I see nothing to suggest that the chance of fire has been reduced or did I miss something? If that's the case they've nerfed the wrong thing, its not the damage that was a problem, it was the fires.

Good stuff, look forward to giving it a go in the morning. Surprised nothing was done about HE fires.

Team with more ships WINS 80% of times... compiled stats.

Clearly the MM is not brilliant right now, we all know it and they know it. But as has been said many times before, this is beta. -
So do I suck at aiming or do people have aim mods?

I've never really understood the whole attitude to low tiers that some have. Low tiers are not the exclusive preserve of new players, I play for fun, and even if I didn't there would be no point in stat padding atm as there will be a hard wipe of stats before OBT. I play the ships I enjoy playing, Like the Minekaze at T3, not because I'm picking on new players but because it's a fun ship to drive. No WG product will ever have skill based MM, they are dead against it so just learn to accept that at any tier you will occasionally meet players more experienced then yourself. Just like BK and subway I want it my way, my time, my money, my game, my choice. -
Change turret turning clockwise / counter clockwise manually

The problem is that when you start adding more and more controls suddenly you have a very complicated game and WG don't want that. They have a winning formula with WOT (control wise anyway) and have tried to keep it equally simple here. Complex control's are the stuff of simulators and this is very much an arcade game, arcade games are marketed and designed for mass appeal and a complex control system does not form a part of that formula. A good example is that other game on the market that has the option to play simulator battles, and hardly anyone are playing those sim battles, a very small percentage of the total player base. Now you can argue that it wouldn't hurt just to add this feature, but where does it end? Good luck though, your fighting a loosing battle but I respect your effort. -
Started a match today and instantly got disconected (Nothing to do with the game, virgin media FTW). Got reconnected quickly and logged back in and as a WOT player expected to be put back into the match, every chance I'd still be alive, the game had only just started. So I was disappointed to be taken back to port. Don't know whether this is a bug or that we haven't reached a stage where this is possible yet?

Bit early for that mate, I'm sure stuff like that will come at some point but this is early days and there are alot of more important things to sort out first.

I'm in awe

Yeah the sound has been laggy since the new sounds were put in (for me anyway) couple of others have mentioned it too. I get the impression that the sound lag is related to general lag and when the servers busy we get alot of lag.

I'm not sure. If they can pull it off and it works fine then I'd play it, do I actually want them to do it? Well I'm not bothered really, there is a hell of a lot of work to be done on the basic game I would rather they concentrated on that at this point in time but later? Why not I suppose.

Voted for HE, I'm a Cruiser and Destroyer player, play very little else and whilst I'm have enormous fun setting the world on fire I can see that it's a bit out of control.
-
No it really isn't. As has been mentioned the map is too small for that and as has been mentioned your expecting a lot of team work in a game (and not just this game, WOT is the same) where 15 individuals with basic comms working together is a rarity. The result is a game that is rarely satisfactory at best and a disaster at worst. It was a nice idea but it doesn't work.

One important thing that didnt get into tomorrow patch notes
Aldramelech replied to Vulgarny's topic in General Discussion
While it seems an obvious problem to us playing the patch is still very new and the Devs will want to compile a certain amount of data before acting, it'll happen at some point. -
Torps could of course be given an option to run shallow or deep. Deep would be hard to spot but run the risk of going under the target, shallow would be easier to spot from a distance but would not run the risk of missing under the target. Just a thought.

I don't agree. I like the current system because it is different from WOT, I don't want to play WOT on water and would like this game to be as different as possible. The other thing I like about this system is that it costs 200 gold to retrain the Captain as opposed to 1000 gold for the average WOT crew. Please don't give WG ideas on how to wring more money from us.

Map's fine, its the split spawns that are the problem. Every time I enter a game and get this map my heart sinks.

An important bit of advice for new players. Select the ship you want to play but before pressing the battle button and piling in go to the upgrade screen. If your ship is equipped with Torpedoes, hover over the icon of the Torpedo launcher, a box will appear and tell you two very important things you need to know, the range and speed of your torpedoes. Get into the habit of doing this until you know these stats off by heart, you will then not spend your games firing torpedoes to no effect at targets too far away or that they have no chance of catching, this will also reduce the insistences of you hitting friendly ships by mistake. Lastly, just because you can doesn't mean you should, some torps have a 10k range but you have to be very, very good or very, very lucky to actually hit anything at that range, save your shots till your alot closer and you will find you will hit alot more often, be a better and more effective member of your team and not irritate your team by making them spend valuable time manoeuvring to avoid your torps as well as the enemy's. Match generated bearings and shoot!

Played 850 games and it's never crashed, has crashed twice this afternoon though. I have been using Teamspeak today and it's the first time I've used it with WOWS so maybe that's something to do with it. python.rar

Playing the Yubari, was turning and shooting and suddenly the ship stopped moving, the target cursor would still move but nothing else, eventually got kicked back to the log on screen, tried to log back in and the loading icon just kept going around and around and wouldn't do anything else, had to turn the computer off at that point as it wouldn't do anything else. Logged back on after a re-boot and everything was fine again. This happened twice with 10 mins. Didn't think to get the map or time of game but will defo get them if it happens again and report back. Drivers are up to date but not updated recently.
