Rubbish. Your telling me that the majority of players NEVER spend any money at all? Prove that, produce figures or facts that prove that. It seems to me that there are a lot of people here and on the WOT forums who do a lot of big talking about "I never spend any money on this game" and in my opinion most of them are lying. And anyway you have missed the point. The man says why should anyone who spends money on the game be voicing their opinion? And my point is why are people who spend money opinions any less valid?

Why should WG listen to people who spend no money at all?

I think there has been alot of misunderstanding from alot of people as to the role of a supertester and alot of prejudice as a result. And with prejudiced people everywhere, telling them that it isn't so doesn't seem to change they're mind. There is no mystery to the supertest, if you really wanted to find out what they do it's out there for you to read on this forum, quite rightly supertesters tend to keep quite about the specifics but that seems to be interpreted by some as them being in some kind of secret society. Supertesters are normal people (well apart from Mindful of course ) and have and are entitled to their own opinions and that means they don't all agree all of the time.

Start a new account in WOT. Don't buy any premium time or Vehicles. Pick a nation. Start grinding up all 5 lines in that nation. Let me know how you get on silver wise there. You'll be broke in a month.

Forget about the flaming XP, just pretend it's not there, I don't play lower tier ships to gain XP, I play for the money. I do not understand why people are getting so hung up on the XP, IT DOESN'T MATTER. I have a plan, I'm going to get Zao first, whilst maintaining at least 40,000,000 silver. Then I will buy Pepsicola and go up to DM, doing the same thing. IJN BB's are a possibility after that but the German Cruiser line might take priority, I am a Cruiser player mostly. If I happen to accumulate 3,000,000 free XP along the way, so what? I am never going to convert it, it might as well not exist. And as for the little dig about Atago performance, well that was mature.

30K exp off T9 and have 53 million silver. I've got Mogami, Mutsuki, Kongo and Cleveland with Pensicola researched. I run a premium account. I'm a collector and I love to collect premium ships but lets get real here before the inevitable smart [edited]appears with "I've just looked at your stats and......" Yes, I own every premium ship currently available in the game except the Tachibana. Do I play all of those ships every day? Don't be silly, there are 13 of them. I do play every day and I always start off by playing the "grind" ships first. Now sometimes if I'm having a good day that will mean one game each in Mogami, Kongo, Mutsuki and Cleveland, if I'm having a bad day that will be several games in each to get the 1.5. The number of times I play my premiums is dependant on how well I do on the grind ships. But even on a good day, at a weekend I rarely get the time to play every ship in my port. Now lets look at those premium ships. Albany, Diana and Mikasa (Diana hasn't arrived yet, Italeri have gone on Holiday for a bloody week) are all T2 ships and frankly how much money do you think they make? It ain't much let me tell you. They are nice to have fun ships but money makers they are not. Aurora is currently the only T3 premium in game and can make a very modest profit on a good game. Like above, she's fun. Arkansas beta, Ishizuchi, Yubari sit at T4. I NEVER play the AB, I hate it. Ishizuchi and Yubari are both good fun and can make serious money, 300K territory on a really great game but 100K games are more the norm. Grem and Murmansk at T5. I'm not a great lover of DD's so grem gets played rarely, Murmansk however is a fantastic ship and is my go to vessel, If only one premium ship is getting played in a day then it's this ship every time. The credits this ship can make at T5 are insane, my record in it is 500K, although 200K games are more the norm. T6 is Warspite. She's OK, the money can be good but it's too dependent on RNG to be a reliable credit earner, don't take her out that often. T7 is Atlanta and Sims. Atlanta is fun and makes alot of cash if you can have a good game but she is very situational. Sims, the problem child of my port. I have had very few good games in Sims and so she has never really made me much money. I've noticed that lots of you are here saying "But I play games in the Sims" well if your anything like me your making nothing at all, You've bought the wrong premium. Hardly ever play her. T8 the Atago. A good ship and can make good money but because of the MM she get's and the high repair costs she wont make as much as Murmansk as rule, but I still play her quite often. So yes I have all of those ships, but it is only one or two of them that is reliably making me money, Murmansk and Atago and out of the Two it's Murmansk that's making the most. And let me stress this again, They get played once a day and even then not all of them. Now no doubt some one will come on now and start giving it all the normal bla bla bla about I've got more money then sense and the average player cant do all of that and so on and so forth, but this is the thing, I'm the one with 53 million silver, I'm the one that has no worries about buying that T10 ship and fully upgrading it when I get there. You don't want to listen to me? Fine, don't read any further.............. 1/ Buy a premium account 2/ Buy a Murmansk 3/ Play more games in ships before moving to the next one, you've grinded the XP, you have to get into the mindset of grinding the silver also. 4/ The Tech trees are going nowhere, you have all the time in the world, up to T5 it's possible to grind them all, after T6 pick 2 maxium and stick with them, play your sub T6's and earn extra silver. Forget about the accumulated XP, I've got about a million and it doesn't bother me. 5/ Equipment upgrades are nice to have but do you really need them all? Do you T3 ships need them? Never sell them if you have bought them, the return is awful. Spend £1.60 on 500 gold now and again, demount that equipment. 6/ Camo is nice to have but again if your short of cash it's a waste of money and the advantages are so tiny it's not worth mentioning. There are a few people, not just in this thread but in others as well, who seem to think that they are entitled to progress, "I'm a casual gamer, and I can't afford XYZ" So let me get this clear in my head, You want to make money, you want to progress to high tiers and you want to buy stuff BUT you don't want to play that many games? Wow............ Newsflash. This game, like so many other things in life, will reward effort. If your not willing to put in any effort, then what gives you the impression you are entitled to progress? Then there are my absolute favourite people, Mr. "I'm not spending money on this game" "I can't afford to spend money on this game" as well as being Mr. "I'm a casual gamer, I haven't got time to put into this game". Maybe if you have a hobby that 1/ you don't have time for and 2/ you cant afford, you should find another hobby.

Actually it would make little difference. People that use camo are already using it, in fact it's far more accessible then if it was bought for 1 month or permanently like WOT. The current set up is good for people grinding through ships, you pay for the camo you use and when you sell that ship and move on to the next you haven't spent gold on something you won't use anymore. The problem is premiums and keepers. We will be paying far more over time (in silver) then if we could purchase the scheme permanently for gold. So yes, it would be nice to have both options.

There is nothing wrong with the economy. If you want to skip steps, not play many games, not spend any money and grind several lines at the same time then yes, you are going to run out of cash. The economy here needs slightly more thought and planning then the sister game and a measure of financial responsibility.

German Cruisers are arriving in October and the last announcement I saw said that the Germans and Russians were being developed side by side, so I'd expect to see something on them soon ™. If your looking for what a Russian tech tree looks like, well search is you friend and I suggest you avail yourself of it.

Of course its relevant, it doesn't get any more relevant then that. In order to earn silver you have to play games, if your skipping things then those games are not played and that silver is not earned. Like I said, your rushing, which is fine if you have several premium ships to spam to get that silver or heaven forbid you buy silver with gold but as your saying you can't afford anything I'm guessing your not. There are two ways to earn here, effort or money and your not doing either, so what do you expect?

Unfortunately it is still very much with us at high tiers, why unfortunately? Because I hate it with a passion, nearly as much as I hate Ocean.

I've looked at your profile and frankly there is nothing very wrong other then you are rushing. You have moved up the tech tree in IJN DD's to tier 8 and yet only have 16 games in the Minekaze, 15 in Hatsuharu. Now your stats are good but Hatsuharu to Fubuki in 15 games? Your not staying long enough in any one ship as you move up to make enough money to fund the future purchase. As well as grinding the XP for the next ship you need to grind the silver as well and your not doing that.
