From what I can tell, it would seem Italeri have bought the moulds for this kit from Dragon https://www.scalemates.com/kits/957494-italeri-46501-world-of-warships-german-battleship-bismarck This site gives you a timeline of the kit, it seems it's a Dragon re-box. If I'm right then aftermarket wont be a problem, lots of metal guns (all types on board) wooden deck and etched brass sets available for the Dragon kit.

So my 1/700 Italeri WOWS Bismarck arrived this morning as you know and I'm pondering various after market etched brass sets and wooden decks for it as well as the turned brass gun barrels that are available, are you doing something similar or just building it as it comes in the box?

Designing and making this game is an investment, they want a return on that investment, like any major company they will have sales targets. Designing the ship costs money, people's wages, utilities etc. so despite what people believe a ship in this game is not 100% pure profit, the margins are high but they are margins, the margins on Gold, Premium time and Premium consumables will be alot higher, so you offset the costs of the ship by bundling with the higher margin products. As for "making out it's a deal" well that's standard sales and if anyone was actually influenced by it I'd be surprised, you either want it or you don't and you'll either pay or you won't.

I expected the price to be alot higher. Now, I'm one of those "idiots" that have bought it and I'll explain why............................. This week was payday, Tuesday to be exact. On payday I would normally spend a modest amount of money on gaming, now that might be gold for WOT, doubloons for this or maybe something else for a game that we won't mention, atm it's mostly spent here. I'm a collector and knowing that Tirpitz was likely to appear I saved a bit of money last month to allow for that. So Tirpitz is 30 odd quid, good stuff I've got that covered, 2500 doubloons? yep would have bought them anyway, I wanted to get some port slots and such, premium time? Well I had some but It wouldn't hurt to top it off, premium consumables? Meh, wouldn't normally buy them but hey ho. I was seriously worried about the bundle being in the £60-£70 mark and if it had of been I wouldn't have paid that but £43? Happy with that.

The to cap or not to cap argument is as old as WOT. The capping dynamics here are different but the arguments are the same. And the simple answer is that there is no answer, it's a subjective thing, sometimes you need to and sometimes you don't.
