Just played two matches, no problems...thing is you cannot be everywhere, so the team has to be somewhat competent. A lot of things can go wrong.

...when your back just breaks... We won the north, lost the south, they started capping (Myogi and Omaha SAT beside their cap - first mistake). Told them to cap while i defend...they sailed around aimlessly while I killed three full HP cruisers, evading air attacks and BB AP...then Omaha wisely decided to get back to the cap and the Myogi suicided. Their Wyoming got into our cap ~10 seconds before the Omaha started capping. The Myogi meanwhile sailed south. We lost by this much. BUT the Myogi (in 3 years he played ~300 matches total) teased me for being a know-it-all and armchair general and that it's just a game and that he's gonna fight til the end (got x-dropped and didn't even get to fire his guns). Sadly no AR on this cpt (10pts), otherwise I would've survived the last cruiser and maybe killed the CV Test for upcoming ranked ;)

Played some ATL games - had fun

After trying to yolo a DD in smoke in the first match, I did the GC justice in the 2nd one (yeh, he got his torps reloaded in time )

Took on two Tirpitzes, a Bayern and a DD at the same time and emerged victorious

It's not like you wanna get shot at with any of the other ships of that line. Also a clear upgrade over the shitty Edinburgh

Massachusetts (someday she'll be available for db) - she's secondary focused like the Tirpitz but stays at mid range (you were asking for something slightly different) - can still close in and tank dmg thx to her tool set. Downside: You'll need a specialized cpt just for her. Otherwise Scharnhorst - better MM than Tirpitz and has to be played differently due to her guns. Also, her bow is only 25 mm, so you have to actually angle her.

Since last patch I get the occasional crash, mainly when launching the game. No mods.

I doubt that historically anyone stopped to pick up sailors in the middle of a fight. Surely someone will prove me wrong by googling some bizarre exception :P

I don't have her (feel free to sent her to me as a gift), but looking at your t7 BB stats, I'd say you do just fine. I guess there's always room for improvement (for everyone), but comparatively speaking I don't see a problem.

Took me two games to get 10 stars - just play a CV and your team knows in advance where bots are coming from, they don't need to bother chasing the CVs and you can spot torpedoes/DDs.

That's what I lack - determination in ranked ^^ Highest rank was r2 and then I dropped back multiple times = screw it, 100 games are enough ;)

Exactly - with this module you shift your role a bit more towards the torp DD role and you can actually counter Shimas a bit better without RPF. Add Fletcher torps to that for more torp DPM and you have your sidegrade (aka slightly different role). If it just gave better concealment it'd be an upgrade...
