At least you couldn't go further down than r15 ^^ I would use gold to un-stock it at least partially (hull)...the Mahan is great for ranked, maybe a Blyska is better. Would go for 1. (B)hull 2/3(preference). Torps 3/2(preference). Gun range Hull: more hp, better rudder shift and detection? yes Torps: possibility of stealth torping, flexibility (torp-victim can sail away, torps might still reach him) Gun range: allows to harrass enemies longer while sitting in smoke basically, ofc useful in regular engagements. Could be substituted by AFT if you already have that skill on your captain (would normally go for demo expert > 60% increased chance of fire). C hull is worthless for ranked battles imo - you need all guns you can get, lots of dog fights. Good luck and good night -

Ah, well - it happens...was just shocked how passive my team was. Knew it was lost, went for an easy kill and the cap to not lose a star. I had a laugh when I saw the result screen. One win now for r12 (for the 3rd time) and then it's bed time - I'm quite satisfied with RB so far Next time I hope to actually fight you ;) Gl hf ^^ ps: He was salty in team chat, too ^^ -

Farragut is a good ship imo and in some respects better than the Mahan. Mahan is ofc still superior (imo ) because she can stealth torp. -
Didn't see one Saipan, yet...in fact since r15 I didn't see any CV

Sitting at 71% wr in ranked today so I can hardly complain but still - rank 12 is elusive and I feel trolled at times. When I reach r12 I will need a break and good food ^^ Good thing is that I completed the Mahan "grind" from 0 to 100 during ranked battles -

None I'm aware of Thought that was standard - only have a dmg counter and the tech tree that shows every ship that's in the game files. -

I started at rank 22 and reached rank 15 today (will take a break and farm captain xp in randoms instead) - my first 7(!) games were defeats, I didn't do anything wrong but nothing especially great either. Since I switched to BB (my most played class) I have way more success, not losing any stars since rank 18. Are you playing a ship/class you are not comfortable playing? Eventually your stronk skills will surely prevail ;) -

The reason behind that logic is maximizing the chance to win individual encounters and ultimately more matches, reaching higher ranks faster. Imo CE is mandatory for competitive DD gameplay since in ranked no DD can afford to sit back and slowly farm dmg but has to contest caps instead where it always comes down to who spots who first. But - no point in arguing since of course everyone will play with what's available / suits their interests most. -

Reach rank 15 and you will start to see "new" ships ;) And yes - relatively speaking there should be more players in ranked battles who know how to lead targets - especially when you reach higher ranks early on. -

Just ran into strangers123 in his Ryujo, he was on my team - also this was the match where I reached rank 15 (since I switched to Fuso I didn't lose a single star...my Cruiser games were not that great... ^^), getting high caliber and having an overall great team for a change. Much POI spam in the chat because of strangers I guess Confident in his ability to keep their CV at bay plus with a Cleveland at my side we pretty much rushed in and shot them to pieces. Strangers killed one of their DD I pinged on the mini map seconds before and replied "what's there?" Great CV player and his presence boosted our team spirit
