Ever tried to contest a cap in a DD with a good/decent CV player on the enemy team? [edited]! Turbo boost will still not allow a DD to come close enough to a well-played mid to high tier CV in order to launch his torps unless that CV already has nowhere to run. The main job of DD is not CV hunting but contesting caps/providing vision/map control/utility (smoke, base defense). CV is a great counter of DD. Thus defensive fire on a DD is not a bad choice. Now tell us more about how well you understand your main class of ships.

No?! Defending the base is mostly cheered at. Inappropriate passive play and being out of position is shunned at. The thing is: Your proposal promotes healthy offensive actions that enable damaged ships to get back to the repair port. Just staying near the port will lead to it's destruction. The dilemma would be: Weaken the flank temporarily by leaving it or keep fighting and risk getting destroyed. But since most players will leave the flank in this situation anyway (if given the chance) nothing really would change in this regard. Ultimately it would lead to longer matches and a buff to fast ships I guess.

They should make an optional ARP-Yamato skin a reward for an upcoming ARP-mission. Owners of the regular Yamato would be able to use it.

A 13 sp ARP captain? I don't care, I'll take it! I have two separate Hiei captains so far so nothing bad is likely to happen.
