Seems like the game wants to distract me from Tea&Ships - every time I could finish off a BB something irresistible pops up Bismarck nearly down. Izumo dead and knows it. New York totally not healthy.

Iirc Tirpitz was back in store 6 months after release. So..Christmas maybe. Strappster: You think all the players who strongly recommend LS as first lvl 2 skill lack the credits for premium repair? Any DD needs LS - also you can pick multiple level 2 skills. I have EM and LS on my Anshan.

Anshan is really strong, even in t8 matches. Can contest caps, can stealth torp, can zip around (important for early caps and overall map control), flat russian arcs. No chinese tech tree (yet). I don't have Lo Yang but I played the Benson. She's a good DD but t8+ is a rougher environment. Relatively slow and meh gun power. USN gun arcs, so it's more of a knife fighter and at a disadvantage at mid to longish range fights with other DD. I'd pick Anshan over Lo Yang if it's about fun and Lo Yang if it's about credits/xp. Leningrad requires a good captain - or so they say at least. So you better have some elite xp ready. I don't have one, tho. Zippy gunboat that can somewhat contest caps and stealth torp if you have the captain for it. Blyska seemingly suffers quite a bit from the stealth fire nerf as far as I've read on the forums. Still a solid choice I guess. No polish tech tree. I'd pick Leningrad because she looks to be my cup of tea. I like it zippy and gunny. Scharnhorst requires a certain mindset to be truly effective. You want to flank a lot because her HE is very meh. She cannot beat other BB at long ranges, she isn't good at sniping. You have to get somewhat close but you have to pick your fights carefully. VERY strong brawler, fast reload, cruiser and DD hunter with the occasional BB snack. Tirpitz is my solid and trusty money maker. Got buffed recently so she can fully use my Bismarck captain. Good choice for credits/xp but high tier meta and a lot of t10 make me think of her as a bit boring. Won't use her torps very often. Mostly in a desperate attempt to gain a bit more dmg by yolo rushing. Fun/versatility: Scharnhorst, XP/credits: Tirpitz

If only I had BB in my port...or smoke :( (oh and on a serious note: If only I could get ANY BB kills (had 4 perma fires on a Fuso and as soon as she was very low everyone started shooting her^^).

Going A and then pushing through the gap lol...I positioned my Yamato wisely - with an iceberg on my left to shield me from my evil sister- and stuffed three of them before they realized it was a bad idea. Reload mod came into handy! Got ambushed by a smart Atago that came from the east and hit my belly with a metal fishy. Yamato chased the puny traitor and didn't care about his angling and fishies. It was glorious (to not be on their team)!
