Update 14/07/22: New res_mods directory: \World_of_Warships\bin\5915585\ All skins working for update 0.11.6.0, any problems such as broken download links, just let me know and I'll address them ASAP. If there are any issues with skins please understand it may take slightly longer to address them since a lot of my .psd files were unrecoverable from my dead HDD unfortunately so I'd have to start over in many cases unfortunately.

Update 19/05/22: New res_mods directory: \World_of_Warships\bin\5624555\ All skins working for update 0.11.4.0, any problems such as broken download links, just let me know and I'll address them ASAP. If there are any issues I will do what I can as quickly as possible however progress might be a little slower as my main hard drive has failed and I'm currently waiting on data recovery which is proving to be slightly time consuming and considerably costly so apologies in advance.

There absolutely was an I3 project drawn up, the images I've attached are the best summaries of what that particular design called for

St. Vincent isn't quite the same as the possible names for the N3-class which were the four patron saints of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. The St. Vincent refers to Admiral of the Fleet John Jervis, 1st Earl of St Vincent who was made Earl St. Vincent after his victory at the Battle of Cape St. Vincent in 1797.

[ALL] WOWS Unpack Tool: unpack game client resources
zFireWyvern replied to MatroseFuchs's topic in Modding Tutorials, Guides and Tools (English)
No, I have both plugins because the Nvidia plugin doesn't open the normal maps for ships correctly after an update some time ago, the Intel plugin fixed the problem and you can have both installed at the same time, they don't interfere with each other. It won't cost you anything to at least give it a try. -

[ALL] WOWS Unpack Tool: unpack game client resources

Works on my machine; If you haven't already got it, try installing the Intel Texture Works plugin for Photoshop - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/tool/intel-texture-works-plugin.html that might fix your problem -
You say you have no subject And your brushes all have dried; But come to Marazion At the ebbing of the tide. And look you out to seaward, Where my Lady battle scarred Hugs the rock that is more welcome, Than the shameful breakers yard. Paint her there upon the sunset In her glory and despair, With the diadem of victory Still in flower upon her hair. Let her whisper as she settles Of her blooding long ago, In the mist than mingles Jutland With the might of Scapa Flow. Let her tell you, too, of Narvik With its snowy hills, and then Of Matapan, Salerno And the shoals of Walcheren; And finally of Malta, When along the purple street Came in trail the Roman Navy To surrender at her feet. Of all these honours conscious, How could she bear to be Delivered to the spoiler Or severed from the sea? So hasten then and paint her In the last flush of her pride On the rocks of Marazion, At the ebbing of the tide. -Lieutenant-Commander R.A.B. Mitchell

Closed test for 0.11.1: changes to test ships (DB 275)
zFireWyvern replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Yeah, because we totally don't already have ships like Georgia running around with improved range and accuracy on the secondaries, 18" guns with an improved dispersion formula and a fast reload, an already high top speed and an improved speed boost and to top it all off a fast cooldown heal. That'd be crazy talk. -

I'll preface this now that this is probably a bit rambling and not very well structured but I'm tired and I really can't be bothered to make it incredibly neat, I think it should read somewhat well enough. No, I see the whole picture fine, using the term "made up" in such a heavy handed fashion only serves to exaggerate the nature of ships and their respective designs represented in the game - which is also important to remember, just a game, not a naval simulator. I disagree with the use of made up being associated to anything represented in the game other than ships which are just that, a Lesta fabrication that is not represented on any sort of design studies whatsoever. Ships like Zao and Hindenburg for example are ships completely fabricated around either some armament that was designed to one degree or another or designs modified from those that nobody really knows anything about and no longer are associated with any sort of reality. Picking ships like Moskva which is based on the Project 66 cruiser from 1953, Stalingrad - a ship that was actually laid down and constructed enough to have part of her hull that was mostly on its way towards launching actually being launched to use in weapons testing after Stalin's death, Alexander Nevsky - the Project 84 design from 1955, Smolensk - one of the MLK-16-130 cruiser studies and now Sevastopol - essentially Kronstadt with the armament she was intended to have and was actually paid for before the Germans came knocking, none of that is made up, paper sure but made up not really. It's not even surprising that a development studio that is situated less than half an hour's drive away from the main Russian Naval Archive has included multiple examples of Russian project ships in their game, particularly in light of the events of the past year or so (I don't even know how long it's been now). Add on to that the fact that it's an incredibly poor business decision to focus completely on only real ships that saw service, there's only so many classes and the game certainly doesn't need a situation like hundreds of different Fletchers, spreading out your saw service ships is sensible to extend the lifespan of the game - more people are likely to play or continue to play in order to see the "real" ships, once they're in that's it, fewer people are likely to be drawn to design studies and outright fabrications, that should be obvious. If you really have that much issue with ships that are truly "made up" you should be mostly directing your ire towards the German tree since it has the most outright fakes of any nation in the game currently. -

If 'napkin design' tier 10 cruisers are such an issue for you I take it that Hindenburg and Zao won't be some of your most played cruisers then, because that would be quite odd, wouldn't it? -
Petition: Petropavlovsk needs LONGFIRE_BIGFLOOD

There's more than just that, both Scharnhorst and Atago also have relatively comparable levels of freeboard (and don't even look at how much Atago's dips down towards the stern) -

Warship Size Comparison: Axis Powers
zFireWyvern replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
I guess so, the thing I'm getting at really is that Ishizuchi was to one degree or another, started - it's just that part way through that she was modified to become what ended up as Kongō. I don't personally see it as much of a world away from other ships that were included in the video that were started but never finished. I think if she were to be included then there'd have to be some sort of caveat or explanation. I'm not going to lose any sleep over her not being there, I'd rather have Tone, Ise/Hyūga etc. included because they should absolutely be in there. Given that the video didn't have Mutsu or König Albert in there, only Nagato and Kaiser, I doubt that things like both Belfasts would make it into the Allied video. -

I mean if FDG made it into the video I don't really see why not, the design and as far as I'm aware some of the work that had already been done was modified to accommodate the change in armament to the 14" guns. I need to double check exactly how much had been done by the time the change was made - I'd assume not a whole lot but even so. Maybe it'd be best to leave her out because explaining why she's there isn't going to happen in the video and for the average viewer it might just confuse things. -

Thinking on it, Ishizuchi should be in there as well really since that's essentially what Kongō started construction as -

There's more missing than just Amagi, off the top of my head Tachibana, Ise/Hyūga and Tone weren't in there either -
Slide J3 and K3 in there and you've got essentially got the proposal put together by Mofton which I find to generally be the best thought out and most likely line; Though I won't deny that I'd rather see Tiger get her historical fit represented in-game rather than a hypothetical 1930s refit, both would be ideal but after what happened to Bayern I won't hold out much hope for that.
