So first your entire playstyle is gone, but then its ok because it's not the optimized one? I thought that we play because it's fun-and-engaging™ and losing the playstyle we enjoy is not a positive addition to the game for said player. If the most optimized playstyle in the game was to reach A1 first, and doing this increased ones chance to win massively - I'd not call that fun and engaging gameplay even if doing so would provide a very viable way to win. Not only that, in the case of BBs (and most surface ships), they are effectively denied playing in the most optimized way (flanking, setting up crossfire, sneaking up on poor unsuspecting broadsides, etc) because this means splitting up or going alone. Actions that are usually punished severely by the CV and even more so when it's just a few ships doing this, because they become the obvious targets both for CV and often for the rest of the enemy team. High risk, high reward manouvers are pretty much just high risk when a CV is around. I'm happy for you that you still have a non-fun but viable playstyle left. As you said yourself, the rest of us doesn't really. Edit: clearly the people who enjoy sitting at 20km+ flinging HE at each other in various BBs can enjoy their blob and style of play!

And when he doesn't, you're blipped on the minimap and most likely that has a noticable impact on the situation. However in BBs its pretty much pointless to try stealthy moves, but then again, it's better gameplay to stay bow on and in the blob.

More is less (the upcoming Commander Skills Update 19 -> 21 points - most current "reference" builds will simply cost more in new system for same functionality and will deplete great deal of resources and cause months / years of unnecessary grind)!

It's going to be grand to play thunderer with sniping module indeed. Eventhough I prefer balancing on spotrange. Clearly one has to adapt these days. Maybe we can have 11 thunderers on each team blobbed together, to "counter" CVs and sniping at eachother? -

I wouldn't be surprised, I just hope they put as little guidance into the game as possible. Dumb weapons just work better in games in my experience, and CVs are already quite on the border there. Submarines even less so. Note: I've just watched some jingles vids how they work, and i have no interest in trying really. That said, I'm a fan of games that manage to incorporate as many different weapons as possible, as long as there is somehow a balance to it. I don't think WoT and WoWs are comparable with the battlefield series for example. -

I'm sure, but I'd really like the enjoyment of firing off a missile into space and watch it come down at mach 25 and be completely unavoidable. (Disclaimer: this sentence may contain sarcasm). As for missile ships I have a vague memory of watching some missile artillery ships during D-day. However one this that I hope WG keeps in mind is that wows is "warships" and not "entire warfare throughout history. WoT is already crazy, and I can Imagine the people into tanks enjoying the introduction of various tank killer planes from ww2. -

We can always argue how unbalanced they are, but they really do stunt the gameplay for those in surface ships. My enjoyment is significantly lowered with a CV in game almost every time. -
It's exactly how it's meant to be, makes sure people don't run out of planes and the game becomes boring (for the CV).
