Why is this happening ? Why is this even possible?
Nibenay78 replied to xSudden's topic in General Discussion
No no, it's fun and engaging! Spreadsheets knows what is fun! -
You mean contructive like WG will actually listen and implement our suggestions and take our criticism to heart? Great! Oh wait, what did I just say? I forgot to take my realism pill today obviously. Nevermind me!

CV:s in the Social Dimension - a Look to the Future
Nibenay78 replied to Procrastes's topic in General Discussion
Because a random manouver not even with the intention to dodge torps can completely avoid all damage. You're not the primary DD killer, but if the opportunity presents, it's not unlikely to deal massive damage or even oneshot them from a good salvo. I the flank I'm on dies, i'd rather be there in Montana against a DD than Montana against a CV. But isn't Montana the AA BB? well it was...- 94 replies

Does it make any difference? crap is crap? Indeed, lets stick to our mistakes.- 94 replies

Because money = profit! If only Lesta was available on the international stock market.. seeing how insane amounts random people use, that don't even know how to play.

They should not be. I've had a game where i played Minotaur, went nose in on the first strike of the game, took 15k. Great fun!

30% is only 50% of the total damage of your 100% which now is down to 40% because of the %-age of incoming crap your way from everyone else.

Can reduce acces to random battles from accounts like this:

Why should he be banned? clearly contributing to a fun and engaging gamesession. Maybe he will even pay some cash too! -
CV:s in the Social Dimension - a Look to the Future
Nibenay78 replied to Procrastes's topic in General Discussion
OP ships can be fought in a useful way with skill. Even a newbie can hit with a random torp against a sealclubber. CVs are not in that league.- 94 replies

CV:s in the Social Dimension - a Look to the Future
Nibenay78 replied to Procrastes's topic in General Discussion
The idea is not to do damage in Hosho, it's to make newbies realize what [abnormal-cell-grow-disease] element exists in this game and make them find something else before they get sucked in like the rest of us :(- 94 replies

CV:s in the Social Dimension - a Look to the Future
Nibenay78 replied to Procrastes's topic in General Discussion
I can only agree that WoWs used to be the one of the more polite ingame chats in the recent years. However I've played since this game was released. Until the CV rework I don't think I had any chatbans.. Nowadays they are quite common (and deserved, but worth it). Also I wish we would get some more placebo reports to hand out, because giving out 2 at the start of every CV battle limits the amount of CV games to 5-6. After that it's time to play something else. As said before, WG has publicly said they will do whatever to keep the class over a certain treshold of popularity. Because if not the rework cost too much. I hope I never meet the CEO of WG, I might puke on him :D- 94 replies

Tss, you should see my 20km torpedo strikes from the map edge! amazing! Preferably from the border behind my own team! hmm now that I check the stats, I deal more damage in BBs, that's weird... How can the best stealth ship at this tier not deal 300k every round??
-
Both are destructive indeed, my point was there IS counterplay to arty. Facehugging a rock or building is boring, but it generally works. With CV it's often a worse situation. Almost all my arty games was for the sole purpose of sniping the other arty. If this was consistently possible and a viable strategy in wows, I would happily play CV and make an effort to be good at harrassing and killing the enemy CV fast. Something WG doesn't allow generally. How did you survive 50k games of shoot-the-pixel with premium ammo that frequently ignores armor...?? For all my whining here, wows is vastly more fun simply because it doesn't have the "option" to change to some "expensive" ammo that increases your pen by 50-200% or whatevever! Then again the HE spam can get tedious. I am impressed!!!

Because DDs are weak and squishy and generally die when spotted? Is that an amazingly good argument? I strongly suggest you get your sorry behind up to tier 10 and test out Shimakaze. Best stealth and amazingly 15 high damage torpedoes. See how well you do it damage wise compared to in a tier 10 BB. And how long you live if you are spotted at <10km from enemies.

Boring bait for boring and unserious topic. But maybe there is some seriousness that the honourable Enachev with his restart account doesn't get to kick behind in his beloved BBs?

Some ships have to be underpowered as it will be never balanced perfectly. Rather have them nerfed, if there is reason to be. I don't feel sorry for people who are stupid enough to pay for OP ships thinking they will never be changed. shrug Indeed a reason Will never happen, so I'll just have to suffer. Most of us knew it'd happen I think. Probably have 50 unskilled captains at the moment. Another minus for WG. I'd say they were quite generous before, but I'm a bit sick of a gazillion missions to reward you. People are outright stupid in my eyes to participate. WG does it because people actually pay for it. Because it works for a majority of people. I only ever used money for premium time, which I only paid when I thought the game developement was good. WG does all the crap because because people pay for it. €50 for a pixelship, kiss my behind! €120 pr year for premium in a balanced and fun game, no problem. -
There is a significant difference when comparing that a DD is ~30% faster than a BB while a plane squadron is more like ~400% faster, plus the fact that DDs dont ignore terrain :D

We can avoid that. I have about 20k games in WoT and while arty is incredibly annoying, it is NOT as all powerful as CV nor as destructive or annoying. Carries are again created differently than CV usually being exceptionally weak. In my eyes you can't really even compare that 4 classes of WoT with such games. It's just too different. Don't think I faced a Kii but I again I think i won like 70-80% of the brawls in CV and the losses I blame mostly that I'm inadequate in CV. Like with any other ship, it can take ages to grind down a ship in one on one, difference is both ships will suffer greatly probably. Indeed not, this is why I liked to play them. I'm still all for that weak RTS AA ships should get a buff. I'd say very few ships has anything that looks like good AA and some ships still has abysmal AA. Yet I frequently see the "good" AA ships being purposely picked on by the CV (and damaged nicely..). More than now as once the CV started attacks, they cycled more slowly which gave you time to move about. Sure it did reduced the options but the CV also couldn't just F away if you smoked up and go spot somewhere else. If he was on the far side of the map, you had time. If we talk about the death blow, I'll give it to the DD. How is it a disadvantage to be able to change targets? If a DD is stuck with "good" opponents, he have no choise but to waste a ton of time to relocate, even if he is an amazing DD and knows who to attack. At least a CV can decide to F away and do something else. I think the more extreme is better (to some extent), if everything is averaged out, everything is the same. Quite frankly boring. As for now I don't view the ships as players when I'm playing CV, but victims of harrassment and whose game I will ruin the fun for. AA will never be manual control in this game. This is unfortunataly a casual free to play game so WG doesn't want mechanics to be too hard, which can be seen by the dumbing down of CV play and incessant amount of HE spammer ships. a bad DD can still hit with torps by accident, as there indeed is an element of luck in the guess of firing torpedoes. In addition all the 3 classes are more or less dependent on eachother. it's generally not great to be a cruiser when a big scary BB sits in cap and you need it either. Or to run around as DD when a DM pops up nearby and you have no big bad BB to help you out.

Should WG get rid of deadeye completely?
Nibenay78 replied to Porpoise's topic in General Discussion
You mean anyone needs to step away from a credit card near WG? Sounds way more reasonable! Skills should generally award good and FUN gameplay. We can always discuss what fun is for everyone, but I think most would agree that every BBs sitting at 20km all game gets tedious.- 24 replies

I use contact lenses and they are really good, but thank you. I was just generous and thinking about those who may suffer. Kindness incarnate, I know! By the way, how many spotter planes was that? And how straight did he fly those planes?
