Seems that Wargaming staff have stopped commenting on submarine threads.

Maybe if we dont only call it broken but adds some additional words to explain, it's easier for WG to get the idea: Boring Degenerate fun-draining -

I am delighted to have reinstalled xcom 2 with the long war mod. Dont see any submarines here. -
I like Annapolis simply in the basis it has more AA than DM. Edgar should get 2000dps in their old minotaur range at 8.6km...

Has there ever been a Poll to remove CV or a random game mode without CV
Nibenay78 replied to AllterEg0's topic in General Discussion
Funny man. In RTS days I would strongly agree this occation being enjoyable. In these days its mostly waste of playtime. -
I feel it happens when you really have to blap some cruiser at point black and full broadside. Probably confirmation bias...
-
If it is consistent, its not random though

No idea, even if I play with RL friends, we prefer to not play CV :p after all, it happens we get a fun and enjoyable game without...

I can recomment factorio. Its quite different. KSP2 should be coming this year also. -
I suppose they are already irrelevant even without denial. More doesnt hurt. If i could reliably kill other CVs the first 5 min, I'd be tempted to play CV. Armoured decks are really annoying when you try to fire them at max range in BBs, just to watch everything bounce off. Most are abysmal, yet they do ruin the fun. The stun bombs that were cancelled wouldve been horribly boring to play against,.. it just show the insane ideas they come up with. If only super ships had super AA... So conclusion is that windows lickers and SU's wont be affected by support CVs.. sounds a bit narrow for a class that can "only defend"? Well not that I even know what their capabilities are supposed to be either. I guess I'll play them a bit to get a vague impression how they work.
-
I wish, but alas, you think they will be that effective? What are the windowlickers going to do then? its just like I started to play arty in WoT with the french autoloader arty, to just counter arty them. What did WG do? make the tracers much faster so it was really hard to see where they come from.
-
Me too, both playing and against them... The only important for you is the name? How it actually plays is irrelevant?
-
More than double. I need to be nerfed.

Do you want subs fully integrated into WOWS in their current form?

Me too. Sounds like a great game -

My point was that static ships behind islands either dont get torped (due to being behind islands) or die to dumb torpedoes (as whoever fired them has line of sight againts a static target). Thus the homing part is irrelevant. That was all. -

Because static ships behind islands really are troubled by pings and homing torps... -
Because they are already a joke being a one-way-damage-dealer, and I can only assume the idea is to let the CV just "assist" in damage dealing to make them more tolerable? Like the incessant spotting isn't a DD killer already by itself? (and even for other ships too since it makes it way harder to run from spam)
-
Seems FXP will be a continually increasing number then...

The idea should've been an April fools joke to begin with.

I think most of the player base is about 10 people with multiple accounts.
Nibenay78 replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
Not really, but encountered 2 DDs at <3km while not dying. That part was the only really essential one :) -

Since I left this thread up and just finished a nice round: you just have to carry hard enough.. -
In game coupon - anyone got this as well (I never got anything like that before in all my WoWs years)?
Nibenay78 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Anything that requires me to spend any sort of real money is out of the question, and such popups are considered annoying spam. 16% discount on gold is pathetically poor in any case. Better spent for charity organisations that help poor souls that are subjected to "special military operations" -
SUB POLL for the benefit of YABBACOE.
Nibenay78 replied to Migantium_Mashum's topic in General Discussion
Pretty much, and they did 0 damage to me, so clearly DDs are too strong. Lets ignore the fact that the only surface ship "near" me was a BB that stayed between 14-20km away. If it was anything closer, it would be a pain to be spotted on and off for 10 minutes. -

I just spent about 10 minutes to drive in circles to chase and kill these 2 smartarse Balaos. Even on a loss, I'm usually okay if I did a nice game for my own part. If I had killed approx 2+ ships worth mostly in 1vs1, I'd call that ok on a losing game. I pulled my own weight and thats ok.. However after this round my first thought was "uninstall". -
Exactly. The current way it works sucks donkey butt. DefAA is also: * Visible if popped too early, * Limited in number * Not given to ships that actually have vaguely useful DPS numbers to begin with * Long reload * Usually contests hydro which all over is massively more useful by simple chance of encountering torpedoes/smoke compared to CVs. I'm not sure it was the best in RTS, but at least neither player could "outsmart" the AA... Then again we're back at the CV thread now. Waste of time, gonna go take the cat for a walk...

I don't think the current type works well, and given the numerous suggestions for tweaks that has been, WG is unlikely to alter the fundamental mechanics. So I will have to go with this: A solid black wall of complete obliteration that really good players like yourself and El2 possibly, maybe, occationally - with real effort - can get through Which we both know would invalidate most players as CV captains and thus makes CVs even more marginal - so it won't happen. Yes I have more serious suggestions but we already discussed this ages ago and its no point.
