WG please show CV players some love!
Nibenay78 replied to black_falcon120's topic in General Discussion
Just hit the ship, they are pretty exposed. Or have someone else hit the ship :P -
Do RNGesus cater to noobs?

And with pinpoint accuracy, why play anything than BBs... -
And funny enough none of the superships got superAA..

Fun round in minotaur: I run into a cap to help out DDs with the CV spotting them. So Im stuck behind an island.. not a bad position though. About halfway through the enemy sub sails past at 3km and I can do nothing about him. He is even bad enough to ignore me completely.. Yet it was completely pathetic to sit there and can do nothing..

The numbers provided explains why I see kaga come with full squads after 15 min despite playing a higher tier "AA" ship and generally being in the area where the CV is active. -

Its not limitless, but also it means at worst the CV can provide regular spotting in a situation where a "normal ship" would be completely removed from game. During end game even regular blips on the minimap is quite a lot more useful than being sunk. More likely the same CV can probably get some minor attacks in as we can also assume the final ships have lost some or a lot of their AA mounts. -
Fair point. I can see sims and tirpiz really do the p2w part.
-
To make my point clear then - I would appreciate the following scenario: If I do well/CV farks up - squadron has the potential to be completely annihilated. If I do bad/CV is good - squadron has the potential to completely survive then toss some randomness into this mix so that newbies actually can be a bit lucky and pros can be a bit unlucky (both ways) - but right now the skill is almost entirely in the CVs hand. Add on top the fact that a surface ship that farks up probably dies asap, while even a crap CV can suicide his planes for 10 minutes before coming ineffective and still not die. I find the whole interaction extremely frustrating.
-
You were saying premiums are p2w. I pointed they are free. Nothing else. Whatever your sarcastic comparison was supposed to be, it's not valid. All the 3 regular classes generally have to risk their life despite strength and weaknesses. CVs mostly risk behing "less effective" as they lose planes. And as for your example, smoke does not make DDs immune to dying, as I'm sure you very well know, nor is radar needed to deal with smoked up DDs. If they are in spam range in smoke, they can also be shot at. It's not magic to hit a smoked up DD. Not to mention how smokes generally are torpedo magnets. It is correct that OP said that (which is pathetic by WG, not that it really matters if they get a tiny amount of AA or nothing). You were the one talking about how AA is workable...
-
didnt buy a single ship, yet I have a lot of them... sarcasm isnt your thing. you mean the ships you can shoot back at? :D Which workable AA? The one that doesn't stop strikes and eventually is broken if you live as long as 10 minutes due to various HE spam? Maybe ablative armor plates would be a good addition also? At end game your 500mm plates are down to 50mm...

Seems that Wargaming staff have stopped commenting on submarine threads.

I think you meant it was "fun and engaging" as per the spreadsheet. -
Took a break from the game and now all my captains have less than subpar skills and apparently I have to pay real money to fix them
Nibenay78 replied to xXGundam96Xx's topic in General Discussion
That should be the default. Everyone gets a reset, not that one have to click into some obscure page to find a button. The few RL friends I play with would never bother for sure. And I know they'd hate to have massively sub optimal captains. -
Sounds stressy. Since we all know that WG just cares about cash: I want a permacamo that works on superships with -50% repair costs AND turns it into a prem ship for purposes of using our favorite captains on it. I can pay 10k dubs instead of 5k I can accept that the camo has written "GRIEFER" on the full broadside
-
Why are you doing geometric formulas when it's about economy?
-
I agree completely. Not just that but both CVs and Subs will just increase the firepower aimed at the fewer remaining surface ships simply by how they work. This is generally not so with a lot of DDs, since they will often cancel eachother out (often quite early too).

[Poll] Did you buy / are you planning to buy "Superships" ?
Nibenay78 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Probably 2023, latest. I'll probably buy some supershaits, I have enough credits and since WG likes unbalanced griefing gameplay, lets scare off some newbies. -
I wouldnt be surprised if we see 11+8 in the same match at some point. After all superships are not 11, just super..
-
Its a fair point... didnt play for 2 weeks or something. I blame that.
-
Shouldnt be a problem to have 4-5 of a class. Played a late night once with 6 players on each team. Ours had 3 hoshos. It was fun and engaging. The front ship never got out of his their spawn even at full speed.
-
Since I dont have the game in front of me.. iirc Annapolis is slightly stronger than DM, but not so much it really matters. Still reason to get it to bother the windowlickers in CV more than in DM. Edit: and if the superCVs can piss on regular CVs... now that is interersting (and will be fixed...)
-
If only superships had superAA..
-
Noone said the obvious and required answer in a CV thread: The best t8 CV is a dead t8 CV

Given noone actually was hiding in a smoke with DefAA or the Cv player not noticing an AA ship nearby. Was there any way to defeat the panic effect besides taunting it out beforehand? In my limited RTS experience it was either to make a player pop it too soon and run, or just accept the strike would be crap and take the few hits you got? -
I like how same classes hardcounters eachother...

True, we can balance nuclear weapons also, at least on the spreadsheet. It going to be great fun.
