Minotaur used to have 8.6km and was pretty good at picking down planes at long range. Other fun and useful build was Gearing with 7.2km and running Defensive AA consumable. Before the rework this caused "panic" effect on the planes so the dispersion was really wide and almost nullified an attack simply by being active. Teamwork stuff that is not relevant anymore. Even the old "AA" cruisers are pissed on by the average CV player.

Don't play it as much as expected due to: * Big too large spot-range for my liking (I'd rather have reduced hp and reduced spot) * I really prefer if they had given it 1 launcher with 3-5 torps. If I want to play guns-only DD I'll probably pick Friesland for a round due to the above.

There are quite a few good ones, you just have to accept its a lot of bad ones too, not just a few
