Sub implementation is huge! Its the best subs ever. Noone else has such subs. I notice mods/staff generally doesnt participate in these threads anymore... Maybe i should mention something about modern war history.. the last 100 days history and I am sure we will get a response.

Never ever start buying premium ships

I think OP meant: Never ever start buying -
Is WG making a cruiser with "useful" AA? And long range? Dont make me get a heart attack. Dang I miss old Minotaur. Nowadays AA firing is more a liability than useful...

Dont rush into every battle at every possible moment in DDs either... -

If you had checked, probably a lot of the kills had been fighter consumable. In any case mostly an inconvenience for most CVs. -
Soviet Destroyers advices for a New Player

They are very fun if you enjoy a bit more active game and sneaky play. Until the CV comes and pisses on you with unavoidable damage and permaspot. Just smoke and retreat. -

Soviet Destroyers advices for a New Player
Nibenay78 replied to ziratulbihac's topic in General Discussion
@ziratulbihac this is about choosing your battles. 1) If a lone DD is smoked up and your team is behind you. Go for it. Focus on keeping him spotted and keeping yourself alive. 2) 1 vs 1 against a poor gunboat or more damaged than you, go for it. It depends how confident you are. Just dont go straight in, try to pick a side and be ready to turn in or away from torps. If you can stay on his front or arse, torps are not an issue and fewer guns hit you back. Getting off 2-3 salvos first also knocks off a lot of guns/torps and engine before they even fire back. Already having torps in the water makes them more stressed and leaves you to focus only on gunning. Many waste time firing torps when they should use guns only. 3) if you are more damaged/its a good gunboat or enemy team is near, leave it alone. You'll probably die. Edit: all 3 requires you can get close unspotted of course. I agree, people who dont know how to play DDs will probably be pushed back to ranges they are ineffective due to spot ranges. UK DDs are good. Many and short smokes mean if you fark up one, its not a huge waste. The short duration learns you to be more active. Hydro is neat to dodge torps and getting first shot vs smoked DDs. Eventually learning when to use AP is nice too, but if you stress with close up fights, just use HE. -
Soviet Destroyers advices for a New Player

From an average DD players perspective who dont particular fancy RU DDs (but often play against them). Spray them into the smoke before you charge near to (proxy) spot the enemy DD in there. Save them for ambushes or yoloing (see #3) Yes and while they go fast, its easy to se the intention and especially at higher tiers its easy to just turn and run while the DD gets slaugthered if yoloing a bigger ship. its good for chasing down slower DDs though! Edit: since its at tier 5, you can probably yolo down single and slow BBs if you have OK hp. Just keep nose on them until you are real close. Dont fire torps too soon. They are easier to use at longer ranges than some (many?) other DDs. Its quite tricky fighing another DD in Gearing at 10km for example compared to a RU one. That said, my preference is stealthier DDs that can get to 6km and unleash intense fire at point blank, so not so used to kite around in the bigger ones. How I play against them: If I meet an RU DD I tend to keep it spotted with better concealment, often forcing it away from other ships, or moving all close and making short intense attacks. Some DD players dont react too fast when they are busy shooting at other targets and you can get in several free salvos and start smoking up to shoot even more. -
I assume you bothered to look up my CV numbers before claiming I dont play them then? Which also include CV player population You are not suppose to collect the flak bursts. Avoiding flak from a single ship is not magic. Funny how Halland is the one ship that is slightly problematic for average or worse CV players while the old AA fortresses gets pissed on. Yeah, you dodge vs El2 and see how it works. I did...

This is not the sort of casual game that WG wants wows and wot to be. They want short battles that most have time for to reach a broad audience. Preferably ones that p2notgrind

Are higher tier ships always this expencive to purchase?
Nibenay78 replied to Karakzorn's topic in General Discussion
If you dont like the game enough to do the "long" grind to tier 10, I think you are looking for a game with faster progress... Kids these days.. wants everything asap and no sense of accomplishment. -
My suggestion, play the game less... Which I (think) I have...

Loyalty and Carrying WG all these years mean nothing to them

So i tried ranked for the very first time today.....

And some dubloons on top! Yes, it is really good for grinding Alaska skills! -
XP Criteria: Just because you ticked the XP boxes doesn't mean you helped the team.
Nibenay78 replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
We cant all be as good as you. Anyways the higher one gets on the xp list, generally (but not always) one does something useful... Like kiting off 3-4 ships can be useful but not rewarding.. yet a win is its own reward. -
You're just sad and disappointed you didn't get a FKULoveLaceBeer1337 code yet... because I sure am!

But what about the poor disabled who got nothing better to do? Or people like me with no life?

9 = 17 and you won!

No doubt, I just find it kinda "very poor investment" to buy something that takes MINIMAL effort in a game said person intends to play anyway. On top of that I can only agree they might need the experience anyways... Then again, I'd pay to not have CV and subs in my battles ...
-
Which takes 2 days or something to level up... by just playing the game that one is playing in the first place!

just what we needed/s And you thought subs are already fast...

But it's certainly top of the annoying scale :D -
Roma/Littorio: This thing burns too easily.

It's not an argument in any part of the game anymore -

Nibenay78 replied to Jethro_Grey's topic in General Discussion
Yes well there is no reason to care for teamplay or something remotely fair. It'd be good of they release it in tier 6 so we can see how newbies like it and how good player retention of newbies will be. -

Nibenay78 replied to Jethro_Grey's topic in General Discussion
If it's available for dubloons, I'll just learn subs, play it and griefe the shait out of every player I see until they quit playing.
