Same here. If the CV wants to piss on you in a BB, its just a matter of time. I used to enjoy Montana for actually having good AA. Now it's worthless. Småland or some smoke thingy... and småland only works well turning off and on AA if the CV is under 50%..

Until you meet a competent one that guesses your position and slams you with rockets anyways :p But indeed UKDDs are definitively nice when the weather forecast is cancerous.

Well yes, if you are within range, you will take massive damage while dodging. Usually a death sentence in cruisers (which many are supposed to be "strong" against CVs.) I have on many occations presented an easy broadside to the enemy on purpose to avoid CVs getting the kill (and less credits/xp).

Most ships have pathetic AA already. Even old AA fortessess are pissed on nowadays by remotely capable CVs and all you can do is prolong the suffering by driving in circles like a madman. Fun and engaging. Dodging flak is the only basic thing you need to do. Its not even based on the skill of the defender. Its like saying BBs have a high floor because they get devtorped after sailing straight for 5 min. Turn left...turn right... turn left...turn right... its not exactly magic either since the black clouds pop at regular intervals. At times you can fly straight at a lone ship and ignore all flak by pressing attack at the right time. Target prioritization decides how near you get to the ceiling..

If i could reliably kill the other CV like 90% of the time at the start of the game (lets say within 5 minutes) , I'd be tempted...

No need, its like asking if you prefer Yersinia Pestis or Ebola virus. Either needs a nerf! When do we get a CV vaccine? Or maybe USS Laffey (DD-724) whose gimmic is to be immune to CV damage and automatically kills any plane in AA range? I'd pay dubloons for the latter..

A fair point. Another reasonable point would be to keep the customers interested and positive to the product. Right now I feel that all WG employees deserve a bonus code. It's not an optimal feeling for either customer or the business is it? -

Horribly annoying CV. Sure its easier to dodge, but as they can avoid losing planes, the full strikes never stop. And as we know, there will often be times one just cant make full manouvers to not be instant deleted by some nasty nearby other ship...

Not only OP but incredibly unfun to play against. Wonder why.... maybe because CVs just pisses on the rest of us. Even 40% players can poop on us just by continously flying over again and again. Doing nothing yet lights up your position every time. Stealth and flanking is out the window when CVs are around..

I wish I had the replay however, that means my AA was even more irrelevant. Plus he didnt just strike with 1 squad, it was a variety. I believe the BB got off 1 heal too which is a bit HP to no avail. These numbers are not relevant to compare. Your stock of planes "is" your equivalent of hitpoints in most cases. If you run out, you are near useless. (Effectively dead in most cases). Yes it can make the CV less effective later in the game in exchange for making the cruiser almost completely inefffective early game.

It is commendable. I would think many games would benefit from the collective mind of many players. Including WoWs! How many CV suggestions have been implemented so far? Not counting bugfixes or tweaks, but new/removed mechanics or other major changes that was implemented "reasonably shortly" after suggested by some player? In the long term I have only seen a drastic worsening and more lies from WG. I could be wrong

Or T8 BB that will get ground down by any TX ship and completely helpless against TX CV. Maybe if a AA cruiser teams up... oh wait...

Another thing I'd like to point out: Fark up in a DD and you are dead. Fark up in a Ca and you are dead. Fark up in a BB and you are dead or possibly reduced to ineffective long range sniping for most of the game Fark up in a CV and you lose 6-8 planes dealing no damage and you can try again... oh and they will regenerate, or like Kaga you have so many you almost cant run out. I dont like games where farking up doesnt have noticable consequences.

In end game I should not think of it this way, no. Shouldnt by your own words the enemy CV be getting low on planes after 15 minutes of battle? Like you also point out, most ships lose AA to damage, and its rare to sail around with full HP at endgame, even in a smoke Minotaur. Given the situation, my ship should have been excessively strong against him, not some annoying obstacle he can just fly through because in the end, the lost planes didnt matter. You are just proving how dumb the mechanic is by that statement. Because he was playing against other ships, he probably had little or no AA left. But hey, poor CVs must be allowed to deal their unavoidable damage to a bombed out ship.

I said full health, at most I had been hit by 1-2 shells all game and the AA was most likely 100% As you might note, the situation was that the planes flew directly over me most of the time, passing through one of the highest value and longest range any AA ship can offer... IN the final 5 minutes. and YET kill a BB as I did not exist? Sure some planes went down but what did that matter in the final minutes? Where is the plane attrition then? How could he still field squadrons that were able to brute force through top AA values? Why should I even spec AA when the top AA ships cant prevent 30k-ish damage? Why should I even bother positioning myself in an optimal AA position to help the BB?

I am also disheartened when I play full AA minotaur (unharmed) sailing 4km in front of a 30%hp BB (french i think) that I absolutely need to keep alive at end game to fight the remaining enemy DM with me. But enemy CV just keeps spamming squads through my entire sector-reinforced AA and grinds him to death. === This a true story and the one moment I completely lost any hope for AA. Maybe @black_falcon120 would comment on my sadness?

I'll enjoy the maps when I see them.... At least someone is optimist when it comes to WG. For others that submarine has sunk a while ago

The graphics seem to be in place, base mechanics too. Are you referring to the balancing? I think that is an arbitrary die roll. Should be cheap enough.
