Who cares what the average damage of subs is. It does not matter one jot. What matters in my mind is, how good or bad it is to play surface ships against subs. I think its bad, so bad that I have quit playing. I am not going to roll out in my slow US BB, just to waste a repair party to break the pings. When even if I did use the repair, I would probably just get pinged again, then get stuck facing 4 to 6 torps that I cannot avoid. Judging by the comments in this thread alone, YOU ARE THE ONLY PLAYER THAT LIKES SUBS AND WANTS THEM TO STAY. What I mean by put down is this: You just will not shut up. We all get it that you LOVE subs, god you have told us all enough already. There is no need to come back against EVERY player on here that disagrees with you. I think Wargaming have got the message that you love subs. But I tell you this, you are a minority in this regard.

What an utter croc of crap statement to come out with. YOU HAVE GONE OUT OF YOUR WAY TO PUT DOWN EVERY PLAYER WHO HAS SAID ON HERE THAT THEY HATE SUBS. That includes such abuse as stat shaming and calling us out and out liers. So don't come the civilized discussion crap, because you have been anything but civilized. Oh and submarine combat should not exist. Did one sub sunk any other sub during WW2, I think not.

This is all created by Wargaming's garbage idea to use the repair party consumable to break sonar torp lock. I as a BB player, need the repair party to heal damage. I don't want to waste it for stupid sub locks. But I am forced to choose to waste a repair to break sonar lock. So then it is on cooldown. But the sub can just lock you again, and then you find 4 to 6 torps baring down on you from close range, that you have no chance of avoiding. Wargaming could have easily created an additional consumable to break sonar pings, but they had to come up with the dumbest idea ever, by linking it with the repair party.

What you really mean is the fact that the whole of this thread is full of a certain player just answering back to everybody that hates subs. He has to spam crap back at us, because he cannot let go of the fact that more players hate subs than players that like them. BTW the poll now has 410 players voted, but still 88% hate subs in randoms.

This poll now has nearly 88% against subs, with 391 players having voted. But Wargaming do not care, and will not listen to what the community is saying.

Well, after playing this game off and on, with 2 accounts, since the Closed Alpha, I have finally given up. The game has been un-installed, probably forever, as far as I am concerned. I will not play with subs being in random battles. No matter how much Wargaming tinker with them, they will never be able to balance them fairly. Playing a surface ship against subs now is a complete joke. Stupid homing torps and the dumbest idea yet, using damage control to break sonar torp lock. Wargaming, do you not realise that a BB player needs all the damage control's he can get, to actually stop fires etc. I do not want to waste a damage control on a stupid sub. Now with subs having single fire torps, it will only get worse, not better. I played plenty of ranked games with subs in them. But in the end, I gave up, and went back to playing randoms. Lost count the number of times I found myself being killed by multiple torps from a sub, that I couldn't avoid. This once great game has become a complete joke. I will not be back unless subs are gone from random battles. Your loss Wargaming, not mine.

It is not suspicious at all. I have already explained that my go to game has always been WoT, not WoWS. I would maybe play WoWS, once every other day for an hour or two, but play WoT every day for several hours. So nothing suspicious about that, plus I have been playing more with SmegTheNoob and don't play with my first account any more.

Oh by the way mr dN00b. The poll has now got 218 total votes, and the sub dislikes has now climbed to 87%. So the dislikes is going up pal, not down.

LOL you really are trying to scrape the bottom of the barrel with your comments. For your information, I created a new account to play WoT with. I got bored with my Smegger213 account in WoT, but I did not want to be a re-roll scrub. So I created a new account to play WoT again from scratch, SmegTheNoob. But after doing that, I thought I may as well start playing WoWS with SmegTheNoob. That saved me having to log into different accounts in the Wargaming Game Centre. The reason Smegger213 has only 1700 plus battles, is because WoT has always been my main game of choice. I did not play WoWS nearly as much as WoT. But that still gives me the right to voice my views on here and other forums etc. Why have you got to shout down EVERY player that disagrees with your view on subs? Face the fact that MORE PLAYERS HATE SUBS THAN LIKE THEM. You are in the minority, so deal with it.

Really? 42% win rate in ranked eh. Well seeing as I have only played 57 games in ranked, the % rate is irrelevant. It is irrelevant in this discussion anyway. Any players win rate does not matter one jot when subs are concerned. But if you want to bring win rate to the discussion. How about your below average 47.68% in randoms and 47.43% in ranked. What does my 42% rate in ranked tell you? Does it tell you that my arguments about subs are irrelevant? No it doesn't. All you are doing is trying to stat shame, so go do one pal. You haven't exactly got epic stats yourself. Granted, its only 44% in ranked, but only 77 games in ranked. Only 297 games in randoms, but 59.26% tells me all I need to know.

I have no interest in playing them, never have, never will. My view is the same with CV's, I will never play them. The question in the poll and the survey says "do you enjoy subs in random battles". Now there are 2 different things to consider. 1. Do players enjoy playing subs. Well they haven't asked that question. But my answer would be a resounding NO, based on playing them during the tests. 2. Do players enjoy playing against subs. Well, they haven't asked that question either. But my answer would be, definitely NO. That's not to say, I didn't try out both CV's and Subs, when they were testing them. I can just about tolerate, playing against CV's. But I found it just intolerable to play against subs, esp in a BB. I tried playing ranked during the last sprint (with my other account), but I hated it. So it remains to be seen, how they end up. Personally, if subs are still in random battles by the end of the year. I will not be coming back to the game.

It may not be an official poll. But its is an indicator to gauge player responses. As far as the wording of the question goes. It is EXACTLY the same wording as the survey that Wargaming want you to fill out. So if it said "do you hate subs in random battles?". It would not make any difference. You would get generally the same answers. Update to the question "Do you enjoy subs in random battles?". The answer is now 86% don't like it at all. That's a pretty high number for sure.

Check the poll and responses on this forum thread and other forum posts about this subject. I don't think it is a minority of players at all. Its my view that majority of players did not want subs ever in the game. But I am not trying to dictate to anybody about it. What do players do if we hate the way Wargaming are taking the game? It looks like you would have us all to just shut up and put up. Well, that is not going to happen. How do you ever expect to affect change, without giving Wargaming feedback? I fully expect Wargaming to just ignore the negative feedback. That is their choice. But I am pretty sure they will now have less players. Their loss, not mine.

Came home from holiday today to this garbage patch. The game has been un-installed and a ticket raised with Wargaming. I don't expect any meaningful response from them. They don't give one jot about individual players. I just hope many more sub haters like me, go ahead and leave the game. It serves the arrogant Wargaming right.

I guess when this update comes out, its time to un-install. I WILL NOT PLAY RANDOM BATTLES WITH SUBS IN THEM. Played on and off with 2 accounts since the closed alpha. But enough is enough, I will be leaving the game for good.

I have just seen Flamu's video of the latest dev blog. 1. Dumb Wargaming say, that they are NOT going to change using repair party to break torpedo sonar lock. 2. Submarines are becoming part of the game. But they will be becoming part of the game WITHOUT ME. I have said all along. "THE DAY WARGAMING PUT SUBS INTO RANDOM BATTLES, WILL BE THE DAY I UN-INSTALL". Did I use the word "scary"? No I didn't. I said subs are a pain in the ar__ to play against, esp when playing BB. Perhaps, I was wrong to say a lot of subs end up bottom of the team list. It was more likely that my experience in ranks, I saw quite a few subs at the bottom of the team list. Plus just because a lot of subs end up bottom on the team. It does not mean they are not a pain to play against. What I found pathetic, was the idea of me in a BB, having to waste a repair party heal, just to break a subs sonar torpedo lock. I am in a BB. I need the repair party to actually heal damage. The idiot that came up with this idea, wants firing. Oh and you mention ship upgrades and captain skills to spot torps earlier. Well, what's the point in wasting a captain skill for this. It don't matter if you spot the torps earlier, when they are garbage homing torpedoes. You are still going to get hit. My view has not changed. I gave up on playing ranked. I will be un-installing if they put subs into random battles.

I am now playing with a newer account. Ended up creating a new account for World of Tanks, so I just started playing Warships with the same account. New account only has 250+ games on it, and highest tier of ship I have is tier 6. So nothing special about that.

Oh look, its a game mode that players without tier 8 ships CANNOT PLAY. THANKS FOR NOTHING WARGAMING.

Well, I have been invited to do a survey about Subs in Ranked Battles. I told them in bold massive letters, that when they put subs into Random Battles, I will be un-installing. I do hope many other players tell Wargaming to shove subs up where the sun don't shine. Because they are a complete joke to play against.

You clearly do ignore feedback, time and time again. Look at subs, most of the feedback is negative, esp considering that you are going back on the promise that SUBS WOULD NEVER BE PUT INTO THE GAME. You continue to force subs onto us, now in coop and ranked. YOU WILL FORCE THEM INTO RANDOM BATTLES, and when you do, I WILL BE UN_INSTALLING AND LEAVING THE GAME FOR GOOD. Will you be sorry to lose me, a casual player that has played since the closed alpha? I very much doubt it.

The main problem Wargaming is this: YOU DO NOT LISTEN TO THE FEEDBACK GIVEN BY THE COMMUNITY. This applies in WoWS and WoT. You make decisions about both games, and regardless of the crying from the community, you push through those decisions no matter what. EG WoT has pushed through Equipment 2.0 (mostly negative community feedback), HE & Arty changes (90% negative feedback), Field Mods (more negative feedback), and they will implement Crew 2.0 (I would say that has 95% negative feedback). WoWS is no different. CV rework (negative feedback), Commander Skills Rework (negative feedback), Lootboxes (negative feedback), and the big topic Subs (very negative feedback). Players have seen what you have done with subs, and it is garbage. You have now pushed them into COOP and Ranked Battles. I have tried Ranked, it is a sh__ show. No matter how much you tinker with Subs, you will never be able to balance them fairly. My view on subs has not changed, get rid of them. THE DAY YOU PUT SUBS INTO RANDOM BATTLES WILL BE THE DAY I UN-INSTALL THE GAME.

Played a few more games in ranked. Subs are still a pain in the ar__ to play against. I was playing with BB's at first, and I found it intolerable to counter subs. So I switched to playing DD's. I had better games, but I found I could not kill subs with depth charges. Chasing subs just to plant depth charges on them just does not work. Plus when you are chasing subs, you end up putting your DD into enemy fire etc. So it just does not work. Perhaps DD's should be equipped with the forward firing Hedghog system? Plus most of the sub players in ranked end up at the bottom of the team list at the end of the battle. So my view on subs has not changed. Wargaming, mark my words. THE DAY YOU PUT SUBS INTO RANDOM BATTLES WILL BE THE DAY I UN-INSTALL!!!
