I did not say 500 players are a representative for the player base. I said 500 players could be a representative of the feeling of the player base. I did not say its a fact. I was saying that if you take that survey as an example of player feeling. When over 89% of 571 players say they do not enjoy subs in random battles, Wargaming should wake up and take notice. Its a fact that players that put stuff on the forums are a minor amount of the player base. But Wargaming should NOT ignore the fact that that a good number of players do not want subs in the game. You only have to go through the forums to see that far more players answer posts saying they hate subs, than those that say they love subs. That is why I said that Wargaming has an utter contempt for its own player base. In the end we all know that Wargaming will ignore any negative feedback, and keep pushing subs into the game, no matter how much they will destroy the player experience. Trust me when I say that if subs stay in the game, the number of players playing will go down.

Well Wargaming. Sorry, but you wouldn't know the meaning of the word BALANCE even if a dictionary was thrust under your nose open on the page where BALANCE appears. It has been proved with your continued pushing of submarines into the game. A ship class THAT WILL NEVER BE BALANCED FAIRLY FOR THE SURFACE SHIP PLAYER. No matter how much you mess with subs, they will NEVER be balanced fairly. Oh and the other thing is the obvious clear RUSSIAN BIAS. I won't go into detail because others have done that elsewhere in this thread. Oh and HOW CAN YOUR STUPID +2 -2 MM ever be fairly balanced. I have lost count of the number of times I have found it a waste of time playing EG a tier 5 light cruiser. You get placed in a tier 7 game 75% of the time. You have little chance of doing anything, and little chance of surviving the battle. You get wiped out in 1 or 2 hits. So Wargaming, please tell me how that situation is "BALANCED". Due to your continued pushing of subs into the game: In a phrase from Dragons Den. "I AM OUT" Your game has been un-installed.

I detest this utter contempt for the player base. So 500 plus players bother to go on a poll on the forums and say they hate subs in random battles. Well, Wargaming, have you ever thought of a reasonable hypothesis of taking that poll, and scaling it up as a reasonable account of the feeling of the WHOLE player base. Even if it is not totally accurate. It still gives a judgement on the overall response to subs in the game. Only a minority will go on the forums and fill in such a poll. But when 89.27% of 568 players say they hate subs in random battles, YOU SHOULD WAKE UP AND TAKE NOTICE WARGAMING. Turning round and saying those 500 plus players are a minority, is just a stupid arrogant response. I and many other long time players have quit the game over this issue, but you continue to push subs into the game. But why am I even bothering to comment on here? Wargaming, you do not give one hoot about your own player base. You will continue to ram subs down our throats and suffer the consequences. You will only lose more players in the long run. Totally agree with you there. Subs will do only one thing if they stay. They will totally ruin the whole game play of surface ships, but Wargaming do not care. They will keep them in the game no matter what. I have had enough and un-installed. Many more will follow.

I tried many games in ranked with subs in them. I decided, that as a surface ship player with no desire to play subs, it was just intolerable to play many surface ships against subs. Mainly when I played in a BB. Time and time again, I just got torp spammed from a sub. Getting destroyed 80% of the time. So after awhile, I quit playing ranked. Then when they put subs into random battles, I decided enough is enough. The game has been un-installed, maybe for good. I don't care that there maybe no alternative game out there yet. I never wanted subs in the game. They will only destroy the surface ship game play in the long run.

Totally agree with you mate. Wargaming are parasites they don't give one hoot about their own player base. They always promise one thing one year, then renege on that promise further down the line. Subs will NEVER be put into the game they said. Then a few years down the line, we get subs put into the game. Stupid arcade subs with unrealistic game mechanics such as stupid homing torps and unrealistic sub speeds. A sub should only go 20 knots on the surface, and about 8 knots submerged. It should have NO homing torps and no stupid PING mechanics. They should use the same torp firing mechanic, that every other ship in the game has to use. Tons of CC's left the CC program due to Wargaming's aggressive monetisation policies, with loot crates etc. What do we get from Wargaming, a half hearted apology, and yet more loot crates in the game. Last week it was Transformers containers, a subject that is easily aimed at kids. This week it is German Containers. They cannot just release a new line of ships, without first getting cash out of the community first with loot boxes.

If you are so hot for subs. Why don't you go play U Boat, the Silent Hunter games, Cold Waters or other sub games? Why do you want to play subs in such a stupid arcade un realistic way?

I stick around in the vain hope that Wargaming will listen. Let players decide if they want subs. Have a separate mode with them in. But Wargaming seem to be hell bent on destroying their own game. Mark my words, there WILL be a lot less players playing, if subs stay.

Whatever. Like I have said before. There are only, you and a couple of others at the most that have said you love subs, in this thread. The rest of us peasants hate them. They will destroy the game. For that reason, I have un-installed for good, unless they are removed.

So what if homing stops at 2km or whatever. The point is, that you can get close in a sub, and it won't matter one jot if the torps aren't homing, you will likely hit with every torp you fire. Oh and do you really think that BB secondary guns will reliably hit a sub at periscope depth? Secondary guns cannot even reliably hit another ship, let alone hit a sub. Esp secondary guns on mid tier BB's.

Its funny, that your Shimakaze story reminds me of how I feel when I am playing a BB and a sub decides to focus me. But at least a DD cannot get to within 2km of me, and spam homing torps at me. In a saying from Dragons Den, "for that reason, I am out".

Whatever. You know when the makers of Trivial Pursuit released the first version of that game, loads of players contacted them and said "you got the answers to some questions wrong". Guess what they said. "Yes we know, trivial isn't it" So what if 1 or 2 subs were sunk by another sub in WW2. My point is that it was a very rare occurrence as to be a non event.

So he posts a vid saying subs are good, it gets 397 likes. But he posts another vid saying subs are not good, that gets over 693 likes. 1st vid has over 8k views, 2nd vid has over 12k views. But to say the 2nd vid was just to appease the sub haters that may subscribe to his channel, is just silly. Remember the first video was just his first impressions, now after a few days/weeks playing with subs, maybe he has formed a more balanced view. So he puts out another video, this time with a new view that subs are bad for the game. Its obvious that he has just come to the same conclusion as most of us commenting in this thread. Subs are bad for the game, except for you that is. If you like subs that much, why don't you go play the game U Boat or the Silent Hunter series of games. You can get a proper sub fix fit those games.
