With HE i have no issue hitting them , just with the AP ... So all in all they just play like the USN CL , but with far far worse DPM , and the adventage of having better AP in the rare cases when ships forget to angle against you in 10km or bellow ranges ?

The best thing about this summer sale that it is so bad of an offer that you dont need to think twice to ignore it. Basically you are better off buying some doublons and use the Armory token to buy a ship you NEED, and not some gamble box for basically the same price as a ship would cost in the armory with the token.

hm.. 140 pages of mostly negative comments on CVs ... and i bet WG spreadsheet says the CV rework was all fine and solved all kind of problems with the old CV

Regarding the OP or Fun: They will allways be OP for the same reason they were OP in WW2. CVs will allways have the ability to freely strike around the map and provide spotting better than other classes could ever dream of. The only balancing WG could do is to tune their dmg or to make AA or Fighters more skill dependent ... but since WG hated the RTS fighters strife ability and they generally hate skill gap, i dont consider the later as a possible option. Whatever will WG do is just tweak the numbers on the planes payload so that CVs will do as much dmg as the devs want them to do based on the Mighty Spreadsheet, they only care for stats like avg dmg server wise, WR of the given ship ... they dont care if it is fun or if it promotes a good or a bad playstyle. Guess the main goal for WG was to make low tier CV (4-6) extremly easy to play and slightly OP , they needed that to boost the popularity of the class... and if that was their goal , than the mess we see on low tiers with the double CV/side is considered as a great performance of the rework.

Yeah basically what you need to know: 25mm gets overmatched 380mm 27mm gets overmatched 406mm 30mm gets overmatched 457mm 32mm gets overmatched 460mm the only outlyer might be the Shikishima what is extremly rare and if you consider is same as a 460 you should be mostly fine -

And on the wrong place too ... I wouldnt mind if my baddly hurt low hp ship is getting picked off by a CV, the issue is that even when your AA cruiser in shiny new state still lets strike groups trough. what WG would need to work on is that as long as you have your AA modules in a good shape you should be able to do serious harm to the planes, so as the game goes both the AA of the ships and the planes of the CV would wear down, not like nowdays where you need to be a total loser at dodging flak to ever run out of planes. Also the AA itself would need more micro from the player ... not just pressing 1 or 2 button and pray to RNG ...

Thing is that the only way to counter CV is to not use any tactics and turn the game into a dpm race. Try to flank ... You will get farmed and killed maybe in 2 CV squad. Hold position to deny area ... 25k tripe DB citta in the face from Haku Spot for your team ... no need CV does it much much better and far far safer Try to push ... TBs come and you can chose between eating torp or showing broadside to multiple ships Basically you CV forces you to sail in groups of 2-3(good CV will still drop you) far back to like 16-20km lobbing HE and SAP which is super dumb and repetative. Also it helps a lot in makeing steamrolls, once you fall behind 2-3 ships there is little chance to come back, as a half decent CV totally prevent any ambush or flank atempt, and with the loss of DPM form your dead ships you will more likely to lose the 4th 5th ... ship than the enemy team does. CVs as they are now, are OP and screw up the whole base gameplay.

Anways .. now that i checked what WG plan for the next Clan Battle season i dont think they care much about the good players at all. Also i bet the decent divisions who are not just statpadders would enjoy to go up against other decent divisions instead of farming the hell out of teams which are unable to fight back properly. The game is good when is a close call , not when its a 1 sided steamroll ... I just speak for myself .. but yeah there might be players around who prefer 80% WR with 50% of the games being fun , instead of 50% WR with 80% of the games being fun -

Well .. yeah you are right on that one ... + as i guess the 20.000ish playerbase we have on an avg afternoon is also too few for that. Guess we are bound to use this pretty flawed MM. -

That would be a silly idea :D What i dont get is why WG just dont copy the MMR system of basically any decent pvp game.... i bet we wouldnt have constant 1sided games if the MM would put super unicum players on both side , and potatoes on both side too. The matches where 1 side has a 3 player super unicum division and the other one has a Tirpizt failplatoon are not even worth playing ... you know how will it end regardless of the effort you put into that game... -

The good question is not how many players , but how many paying players, the boycot might work but it should be bundled up the boycot of premium shop aswell. Clans not playing CB will not make WG a need for a move ... maybe we have some nice post from WG staff members.. but if the same players who boycot CB would not spend a dime while te boycot runs it might be enough of an impact on their income to think of fixing CBs. -
Season X could be called Pearl Harbor , we might even see USS Arizona sunk by IJN dive bombers and torpedo bombers.

Feedback is important, they need to check what they should never do, whatever the players recomend is something never to be implemented :D Next time we should make posts about the need of a nerf for German ships & the desperate need for buff of the carriers.

3 man div is the main source of steamrolls, but WoWs is far from popular enough to make solo queue and division queue for it ... so i guess solo players like me are doomed to get 1 sided games due to 3 man divs. -
Jokes aside, nerfing the AP bombs is a good move from WGs side , IJN CVs and Enterprise just dominate the CV meta way too hard , and AP bombs can actually be balanced by playing with the numbers. But yet again its the WG aproach... they cant see the damn woods from the three in front of them :P I bet AP bombs is lot less of an issue than what the Rocket planes make, or the lack of air to air combat with the rework. Anyways its already a +1 for WG on trying to do something what is not making the game worse after 1,5 years.

It is an overpowered support unit ... it support its AP bombers with Attack aircraft :D .... or on low tiers 1 CV support the other XD

You are wrong.. same caliber can have different AP dmg .. check the Kirov and Mikoyan & the Donskoi .. all 180mm all soviet, all different AP dmg & i will not even bother with the 203s where you yet agin have significantly different AP dmg for the same calibers.
