How is your Dunkirk Collection going on?

    10/16 and 6 duplicates.

    Working hacks in WoWs

Hacking the game is nearly impossible and the gain does not really justify the expenditure. Don't confuse hacks with mods. Mods can only use and show what is already on your client but they can't influence things like gun arcs, penetration, HP, damage because the calculations for those are done on the game servers and your client only receives the results.

    Fair Compensation For Nerfed Ships?

EULA is the End User Licence Agreement that you have to agree with after every (major) update of the game. Without this agreement you can't/are not allowed to play. And then you have the Terms of Service which you also accepted: What this means? WG has to do nothing. They don't even have to give you free exp for changing the torpedoes. So either deal with it or play something else.

Operation Dynamo Collection - How to get?

Oh ok, my bad. So you need at least 8 different ones to complete the collection with 25 (or 24) crates. Should still be possible.

Operation Dynamo Collection - How to get?

Why so? 25 crates give 50 collectibles in total. If you substracte the 5 different ones, you are left with 45 duplicates. You need 4 duplicates to trade for another collectible you don't have. So with 45 duplicates you get 11 collectibles, plus the 5 you already have makes all 16.

Operation Dynamo Collection - How to get?

I think you have to be quite unlucky to not complete your collection with 25 crates. Every crate contains two collectables and you can trade duplicates If you are still missing some at the end. If you get 25 containers and at least five different collectables you should be save.

The MM after RN BB release

I think someone mentioned the problem with the MM before but it was largely ignored because of all the sh*tstorm the available consumables and characteristics of the ships caused. But this is not new but happens everytime a new line is introduced, although I'd say the impact of a new BB line is higher. Contrary to what Albedo (:P) above me says, I think RN BBs will be a big deal because they are wanted since the game has been released. Although some of their characteristics might make them unattractive for some people who originally wanted them to play.

    AFK in Ranked

Probably this until you find a solution because you make not only yourself lose a star but you also make other people have a bad game experience.

Ok, now you are being dishonest: And I didn't compare the actual pilots to gladii but the kamikaze units (planes + pilots). Might have made a typo there. I don't know why you bring up Seppuku now in your attempt to defend the idea of implementing kamikaze planes. Both are quite different things and don't really have anything to do with each other. COD is a FPS with an age restriction of 16 to 18 years depending on the country. I also doubt you could actually control the kamikaze planes but they were more of ingame event or part of a cutscene. WoWS does have a lower age restriction of 12 years (at least in my country) and is a MMO about naval warfare. Do you see the difference and why your comparison to COD is flawed? And even if you had a point that WG should introduce it because other games have kamikaze planes, too, there are still historic issues and gameplay issues with this idea and you haven't addressed them at all.

This game will be unplayable, very soon

I think making every class capable of defending themselves in every situation is not possible unless every class gets the same armour, stealth, mobility and gun characteristics making having different classes obsolet. IMO the general ship characteristics were not made by WG to fit the rock-paper-scissor gameplay but WG took existing ships and their data and tried to establish an easy to understand relation between them. CAs in general are better in avoiding torpedoe walls than BBs because of better mobility and maneuvrebility and they are better at fighting DDs because they have a more consistent damage output and fitting consumables like HAS, radar and longer lasting planes. BBs in general are better at tanking (damage from CAs and other BBs) than CAs and DDs because of better armour and they are better at fighting CAs than DDs are because of the above mentioned maneuvrability and consistent damage of CAs. DDs in general are better at fighting BBs because BBs (especially unaware ones) will be hit easier with torpedoes than CAs and they have a harder time effectively hitting and killing DDs unless the DD plays dumb, gets close or in the wrong spot and can't handle the response thrown at him. They also have superior mobility and concealment compared to BBs which makes them better for getting undetected, switching flanks, hunting for important targets or going for objectives. I know this is a bit of an idealized view on things since we have some ships which feel like hybrids of different classes or prefer hunting their own class or even their counter class. Those are no characteristics which are established by WG although they can be altered for balance reasons. But it is more or less a natural relation between the classes, as they are implemented, that establishes itself if every class can be equally/adequately available without limiting factors like real life ressources or building times. I think mogoroth is right. If you have different classes you can't really prevent people from playing not team-orientated or lame tactics. Hell, you can't even really prevent it when having just one class. Imagine this game with only BBs. you will have some people who slug it out at close range but there will also be people still staying at max range sniping. Some for a CA-only game. Some CAs will/have to get close, while others will stay at max range spamming HE until they either lose their spotters or their team has won.

Depends on the declination. I'd go for gladii as the plural for gladius but last time I heared Latin was ten years ago. Again, especially in current times there is a difference between shooting at each other with weapons and flying planes into whatever you don't like. From a historic point of view it doesn't make sense because the actual kamikaze planes were land-based, not carrier-based. From a point of view regarding gameplay it doesn't make sense because you have planes you can use excately once and are either OP or not worth the credits needed to refill them. And to compare the kamikaze pilots with gladii is just ridiculous. The gladius was a weapon used by most Roman soldiers (during a certain time period?) as some kind of standard equipment while kamikaze pilots were no standard unit. If you want to compare them to any Roman weapon then take war elephants or (flaming) war pigs. Disclaimer: I don't mean to offend Japanese people.

You clearly didn't get what I meant. It is not about showing the pilots or not and yes, WW2 and 9/11 is something different in a certain way but there will also be people who get offended (especially on the NA server I imagine) by the mere idea that you can use aircraft as guided weapons. Do you really think WG will risk magazines reporting about the implementation of suicide weapons and the following sh*tstorm probably not only from players? The same thing will happen in Europe if you look at what happened during the last two years or so in cities like London, Berlin and Nice. A lot of game publishers refrain from any use or glorification of suicide, the most obvious reason being the age restriction. An example that comes to my mind is C&C Generals where the original suicide bombers were replaced with cyborgs which run in, blow stuff up and run away after that --> no (human) suicide. There might be games who use actual suicide attacks, be it part of the story or as game mechanic, but they usually don't have an age restriction of 6+ but significantly higher. Besides all the "historical accuracy", kamikaze planes don't make much sense because other than bombers and fighters they can be used only once. I don't know what the bomber runs of the Luftwaffe and RAF have to do with kamikaze pilots. They are neither in discussion nor did anyone mention them.

    Italian BB Leaked Special Ability!!!

Source? We don't even have the RN BBs yet and there supposedly is a leak for Italian BBs?

I think the reason for kamikaze planes not being implemented is the same why we don't have visible crews during the battle. Furthermore, some people might see it as highly offensive when a vehicle is (deliberately) used as a weapon, especially after 9/11 and during recent (and probably future) incidents in different European cities, if you catch my drift. WW2 kamikaze attacks are - let's call it - interesting in the way that depending on who you ask they are called everything from cowardly to honourable. Of course the hangar capacity for CVs with pure kamikaze loadout is doubled.

    Japan Flag

Same. IRRC the swastika (or one version of it) was part of the symbol of the Finnish Air Force. I find it to be a shame that numerous symbols are forbidden although their initial meaning was luck and well-being or they were part of an alphabet (like the symbol for the SS).

This game will be unplayable, very soon

FTFY And the next one who just has to open a new thread completely ignoring already existing ones with about 20 30 pages of discussion where all of these points are already mentioned. You make some pretty bold assertions in your post. First of, don't pretend to speak for everyone in this game or about a truth everyone just has to know, especially if it is more a matter of opinion because objective data not found. Gameplay is nothing that can be nerfed, but either improved or worsened. How do you come to the conclusion that there will be more camping BBs when less smoke or (offensive) smoke with lower duration is on the field? Since all CA players seem to be so much better than the average redline sniper BB and despise this playstyle anyway, I am sure we will find them at the front if they should decide to switch to BBs. (bonus points for those who detect the slight note of sarcasm). And the BBs (and other ships) who are actually trying to play at the frontlines will have an easier time to push because there won't be long lasting white walls at the horizon with alot of surprises inside. There aren't really many things that s*ck more than having the objectives full of smoke and while you can't see and hit anything, there seems to be at least half the enemy team focusing their HE spam on you. After this patch players actually have to think about whether they want to use their smoke as a purely defensive mechanism with the standard duration (lay a smoke corridor for the team or covering the advance/retreat) or as an offensive tool with lower duration when main batteries are used. While I appreciate team members that are smoking up allies, I'd never take it as given that there will be someone like that around and try to plan my approach accordingly. However, as someone else suggested, one could think about leaving the decrease of smoke duration out for DD calibre guns (150 mm and below).

Operation Dynamo Collection - How to get?

I think he means like the campaign "Hunt for the Bismarck" where you had to choose two or three tasks at a time to get the containers and stars for progression. But honestly I find the missions as they are better because it doesn't take up extra slots and you can run the other campaigns at the same time. The 2k base exp every day are not a problem. It should be doable in two or at most three games with being top 5 in exp and winning in one of them. So it is about one hour of playing per day. Ok, the disadvantage is that you have to be online every day to get the most out of it.

    Event ARP

They could do it but honestly I doubt they ever will. You will still have the lol-pen calibre of the main guns and at tier IX you can not only use them against all ships the normal Yamato can but also against tier VII ships. The Yamato isn't known for her superior AA anyway, so you have to stick with ships with strong AA whether you have the normal version or a downgraded, let's say, 1941 version. Btw: IRRC instead of some of the the 2x127mm DP guns she had 3x155 mm turrets. I don't know if this reall is a downgrade or more of a sidegrade. So in the end you get a Yamato with some kind of preferential MM and I doubt anybody wants that. Not to mention that the ARP ships feature the late war configuration. Either way it is pointless to discuss the "could-be"s. The ARP collab is over and WG made clear that it will (mostly likely) not be continued or renewed.
  20. Tungstonid

    Event ARP

Without exactely knowing what the treaty between WG and the anime publishers contained, I'd say now, that the licence/collaboration ended, WG is just not allowed to give away any ARP related content anymore. Be it captains, ports or ships and no matter whether they are still in the game files or not and whether you have to fulfill missions, spend money or get them for free. so unless they revive the collaboration you won't see any new (or old) ARP content coming up. Although a Yamato skin or two (foor Yamato and Musashi) would be cool.

I think it is well known that all bonuses (different flags and camo etc) stack and yes, crazy amounts of exp are possible. Vote for close because question is answered.

    New quick commands

There is an abuse protection? I am used to clicking a command more than once in rapid succession just to be sure because up until today there was a cooldown between the same command. That now leads to me "spamming" the same command two or three times right after another (which I sincerely apologize for ). But I haven't had any issues until now regarding a spam protection.

    Operation Dynamo : UI bugged?

The Bots should follow a predetermined route which they might leave because of torpedoes but they should turn back and continue. However, one of the boats (Goliath) is set to run into the minefield on purpose. Haven't seen any other bots entering the mine fields.
