No. Just like for every campaign: You can repeat tasks several times and get the stars for every completion. The only thing you get only once are other rewards like flags, credits etc.

British battleships incoming
Tungstonid replied to anonym_u5USg8CcK96I's topic in General Discussion
Sorry for hijacking this thread, but if HMS Nelson is confirmed as the next free exp premium, what happened to the rumour about the Musashi then? She should have been (one of) the free exp ship(s). Are there any new information? -
Yes, since last patch some of the special upgrades fit in different slots. Also, remind him that he actually has to have one of the special upgrades to see where it fits.

Epic Commanders VS "famous" commanders
Tungstonid replied to TomBombardil's topic in General Discussion
Yes, there are special commanders with small bonuses and some gimmicks like own portraits. And now they introduce special/unique commanders with bigger bonuses and for which you have to work your rear off. This is consistent in the same why that in other games items with better stats have a different label than normal ones, for example in terms of rarity or something like common (weak/normal --> normal captain), uncommon (stronger --> famous captains like Steven Seagal) and legendary (very strong --> special commander like Yamamoto). And why does it look like P2W? As I explained above, there is no P2W so far (edit: in regards to commanders). I'd agree if they take the next unique captain and make him available via premium shop only but I doubt it because that would be inconsistent. What kind of visuals do you want for famous commanders? As I also explained, they have their own portraits and names and Steven even got his own voice over and you can see him practicing his kicks if you put him on the Missouri. What more do you want? Extra special effects, fairy lights, ...? -
The means by which the end of the game was reached should be shown on the "Personal Score" tab if I am not mistaken. Below Victory/Defeat. But yeah, most likely end by capture (even if you deny it). Negative points for one team shouldn't be possible after 9 minutes with that many ships left and both teams obviously still had ships left.

Epic Commanders VS "famous" commanders
Tungstonid replied to TomBombardil's topic in General Discussion
Not sure what exactely you are on. 1. Steven Seagal (according to you a "famous" commander?) has his own name, portrait, voice and gets bonuses on certain skills. Not sure about Dunkirk but I guess he also has a unique portrait and name plus bonuses on certain skills. Both of them don't have unique passive skills like Yamamoto but that's why he is epic and it takes a lot more effort to get him. 2. Which of the three commanders above is P2W? You could get famous commanders only via missions so far and there was no possibility for a shortcut in form of spending money for Steven Seagal. I also don't consider any of the two P2W because for this the bonuses are too small. Yamamoto is also NOT P2W because you have to solve the campaign to get him. No shortcuts with money, no bribes to WG, no possibility to buy him. So what exactely is P2W about them? And even if you also could buy Yamamoto in the premium shop it would still be NOT P2W because you'd also have the option to get him by solving the campaign. P2W means that you get significant advantages with money only. -
Well, that's the question. It says: So do you get the normal content and an additional collectible or will it be something like 2 normal things (or none for TYL) and one collectible? I.e. Will you get either a normal container or an event container with collectibles or are the collectibles part of the normal containers. If the first option is true then you can still take TYL containers without missing out on anything.
-
According to the post on the hompage, collectibles can be obtained via the normal exp containers except super containers. At least that is how I understand it. Which I find questionable. On the one hand it is good that you don't have to reach a certain number of containers during the campaign which makes it easier to finish it by repeating tasks. On the other hand you lose rewards from the normal containers like flags etc...

Captain Training for Premium Ships
Tungstonid replied to anonym_z6ZcC8oG9eYU's topic in General Discussion
Im think he means to retrain the captain for his premium ship, just like one can do it when putting the captain from one ship to another. I can't look it up right now but IRRC you can't retrain captains for premium ships. It doesn't make sense anyway, because you can use them without any penalty, given that both the captain and the ship are of the same nation. If you can retrain the captain to a certain ship, you should have an appropriate option in your port. -
Gamescom...an offer you can't refuse...
Tungstonid replied to Jethro_Grey's topic in General Discussion
P2P = Player to player? The gift shop is not in breach of any of the sections because it is explicitely stated as a legal method. And yes, preventing the sales of goods outside of the game most likely is what WG wants to prevent. I mean... look at WoT and how coupons for Type 59 tanks are traded via ebay for some hundred Euros each. And if I recall correctely, this is also forbidden and probably would be prosecuted if WG had the capacities to do so. For the Tachibana coupons on the other hand, nobody sold them but they were gifted, weren't they? -
Didn't play a single minute because I helped someone move and had and still have about 450 data sets to evaluate. Event sounds awesome, really jealous that I couldn't participate. Also, not sure whether I add an "/sarcasm" or not...

Gamescom...an offer you can't refuse...
Tungstonid replied to Jethro_Grey's topic in General Discussion
It most likely is illegal to ask here. From the Terms of Service: So I'd change your OP and delete the "I'll pay you" part. you can still make a private agreement with interested people but I doubt it is allowed to do it publicly. -
Which is completely incorrect. On the first page alone you have several answers giving him tips on how to play the Khaba: #3, #5, #11, #16, #19 and #24
-
Khaba is classified as a DD ingame. She being called a light cruiser is a hint at maybe her size and that you should play her as light cruiser, which means stay at range, make use of your mobility and do pewpewpew without getting hit. It usually is not a DD to go brawl with. Also Udaloi only has 3x3 torpedoes, not 15.
-
I think we had this discussion a while ago. IMO someone sumed it up pretty good by saying something along the lines of: The Khaba didn't rely on her torpedoes at all so this was not a real nerf anyway. They were nice to have (I guess, because I don't have her and just like Ferry_25 I just can't and want to touch my Kiew after the split anymore) but never really relevant because you want to stay at max range where torpedoes were useless due to "only" 10 km range.
-
I know that the WG staff from Paris plays under WG-EU clan tag, but an actual developer?... I thought that (if they play at all) they spend their time on the RU server?
-
I'd go with the "sucks to be you", too. Maybe the customer support can help you out of goodwill if they find your reason to be compelling but I am not aware of any rule stating that they have to. After all you let someone else play with your account and they can't really find out if it actually was your teenage son or you yourself anyway. But asking won't hurt. And maybe you should have told your son (no matter whether he is a toddler, a teenager or an adult) to ask you before he does anything but clicking the battle button.
-
I never said anything about that it has to go because I agree. WG actually put effort into it with the game models, the mine field mechanic etc. But still I doubt it will be available after August 10th because we will lose the ships and I haven't heard anything else. I, too, would like to keep it. It will be hard to balance with normal ships though.
-
Is it really? I thought it is only a temporary mission until the anniversary event is over, which is August 10th. On this day you will also lose the two ships you have to do the mission with, so I doubt they will still keep the operation.
-
What happened to good old going to sleep at 4 am? Somehow I can't believe that OP only has time to play at 4 am. I mean... does he work from 8 am to 12 am? Can't he switch his sleeping times with his play times so he can play during a time with higher server population and therefore have a better chance to find a match?

You will hardly find any USN BB of tier VIII and above which will show broadside unless it feels save enough that no one will return fire. Having BBs with adequate gun arrangement (usually the ones with more front turrets than rear turrets) only showing their bows is a good and widely used way to tank damage. To answer your question: No. Btw: Why didn't you join this thread instead of creating a new one? I think someone in there or a similar thread mentioned that USN BB AP shells are slower (IIRC) so they are more prone to detonate in DDs than IJN AP shells.

I voted yes because IMO the detectability of BBs itself is okay. However, I am neither in favour nor a fan of stealth BB builds since I think it beats the purpose (and to an extend the weaknesses/disadvantages) of this class. I would not increase the base detectability of BBs because as some people before said, sometimes it is needed to disengage and I also don't see a purpose in punishing every BB player because some (ab)use game mechanics made by WG. Instead I would make Concealment Expert and/or the Concealment System Modification less attractive by lowering the bonus up to a point where any BB is still better visible than a(ny) CA of the same tier. Either based on the base detectability or at least on the CA with stealth build.

Are you, by any chance, talking about the current collection? You know, the one, where you have to invest about 30-60 minutes a day to get the containers and you don't even need to do it every day? And your justification for not completing the collection is that you "have a life outside the game"? Fun fact: Everyone of us have and I'd even argue that if you can't invest 30 minutes a day into a game/hobby, you shouldn't expect to complete every available and timely limited mission and get every goody. You can also argue that making those collections available for new players will make the players, who actually got it the first time, unhappy. On the other hand, new player will most likely never know that there once was a collection about the Bismarck, Dunkirk and the Yamato/IJN etc. If WG should ever implement a method to get collectibles of older collection, I'd say they either do it via dubloons (like "Buy a crate/this collectibe for X dubloons") or they make some absurd trades available like "Collect 50 duplicates and trade them for one collectible".
-
Is he, though? The campaign can already be tested on the current PTS. My guess is that the update will come shortly after Dunkirk. So either right next week or the week after. I doubt they will change anything. Else I agree. The conditions which have to be met speak for a close to end game anyway and even the other passive skill (+1 to each consumable when First Blood is achieved) has a good chance to be of no use. One should also add that this captain will be achieveable for everyone who can beat the campaign. Which takes more or less time depending on the player's skill. So it is not a one in a lifetime chance.

So an auto-detect which is influenced by smoke? Because obviously it doesn't work when someone is in the smoke. Also, the planes in darky-fighters screenshot are further away than in Takru's, yet Takru didn't get spotted. It doesn't really add up.
