    YAMAMOTO Premium Shop

Is it just me or do you pay more per container for the 3x container package (8,99€) than for the 1x container package (2,99€)? I mean... It is just 2 cents, but still.
  2. I guess it can be a viable idea. It might not necessarily make the campy BBs get closer but at least they will get less out of the battle (and the forum will be flooded with salty "Why am I not hitting anything and make no money" comments). However, I think some situations have to be looked at. Something that sprang to my mind was a Kutuzov (or CAs with high range in general) kiting a BB from 17+ km. It is already hard to hit a maneuvring Kutuzov at this range and with this change I'd say it will be nigh impossible. I know, I know, lolcits might still happen and the BB could go into cover (which is not always possible). But it does look more like a frustrating mechanic in this case.

USS Indianapolis - located after 72 years

I know. That's what I meant by that is probably less expensive to build them from scratch (I just noticed a vocable mistake there in my first post). Not only the materials and tools needed are expensive but restoring some - if not all - wrecks will be nigh impossible, especially the ones which suffered detonations or broke in several parts due to other means. Yamato, Hood etc. It still would be amazing to visit the Yamato museum in Kure and while striding through the main hall your tour guide says: "Here you can see the 1/10 model of the Yamato. You can also visit the real thing just behind this door." Dreams, sweet dreams.

USS Indianapolis - located after 72 years

I always found it to be a shame that a lot of old ships are (re-)discovered yet nobody is able or willing to recover them. For once to honour the sailors if one thinks that the salty grave of the sea is not enough. But also to give more famous and legendary ships a chance to be restored (if possible) and made accessible for the public. Global naval museum kind of style. Although in most cases building them from scratch is be cheaper I guess.

Brits: Special case across the board?

Unfortunately WG seems to think that new ship lines (and RN BBs in particular) need special features because A) players cried for them the most (and in case of RN BBs the loudest and the longest) and B) because they will sell better (e.g. more exp conversion) if they seem/are OP at release. Additionally to the list OP posted WG also thought about giving them (or at least the higher tier ships) radar and/or Def AA. so it looks like we are better off right now then we were in the beginning although it is still not optimal. Wilkatis_LV brought up a good point I was also thinking about. What good is a super heal if you have to put yourself into greater risk before you can fully use it. It also is less viable to counter-repair single fires because if you have one fire and you activate your repair party you will waste most of the repair. Add less charges to this and I am not really sure what to think about it anymore. Although I disagree that a citadel below the water lines will make players get closer. Those who want to camp and "snipe" will do so no matter what ship and WG promotes the RN BBs as kind of guerilla ships anyway which works better at higher ranges when you can make use of your stealth more easily.

How to get rid of all this anime ..stuff?

That's what the search function is for. There is at least one recent thread in this section about it. Maybe even more in other forum sections. And if you haven't followed the forum, espcially during 2016 while the event was on, you have no idea how fed up people got with several threads about the same topic on the same day just because people were too lazy to use above mentioned search function first or even look at the titles of threads of the very first page.

    Guns not firing

Especially the "torpedoes going through ships" sounds like a desync from the server on your side. Do you fire a full salvo via double click or sequential fire by clicking several times/holding the mouse button when this occurs? If the first, it looks like your PC doesn't register the double click and so fires only one turret. Can you still fire the remaining turrets by additional clicking?

WG addressed the BB AP dmg on DDs!

Thank for clarifying. I thought my posts made it clear that I didn't get the references (if you want to call them so). And I am just not in the mood to deal with comments like the ones above.

WG addressed the BB AP dmg on DDs!

It is not a snarky comment because someone supposedly posted something bad about RN BBs. I might even be someone who isn't super hyped about them, mainly because I have enough other lines to take care of. It is about opening a topic with a clickbait title with a video which is 17:50 long and supposedly (as in "it might or might not") gives an indication (probably just about 30s) what WG does about the AP damage against DDs. Additionally the text sounds like something between troll and sarcastic. So give me a time for the relevant part then, please.

WG addressed the BB AP dmg on DDs!

So can you give us a time for the relevant part? Or is this a sarcastic post altogether?
  11. Tungstonid

    Wtf?

Are such threads, troll post or not, even funny anymore?
  12. Tungstonid

    Another Nail

At first I thought you were speaking about a full stealth build BB but after having a quick look at the video ... I am personally not a fan even of the current possible stealth builds some BBs can have and this looks close to insane. I am curious wether this is still subject to change and what (if any) characteristics justify this low detectability.

New campaign + DD = weird

It depends on how far the shift goes. I have played some high tier games on Thursday but havn't had time since so I don't pretend to know what the current average battle looks like and how it "feels". But as I said, it depends on how far the shift goes and to a certain level it is a matter if opinion. I'd say a overly CA-heavy meta sucks just as much as an overly BB-heavy or DD-heavy meta. And 8 CAs per team sounds like it is going in this direction.

New campaign + DD = weird

The campaign definitively is a good way for WG to determine how a different meta affects the game. Like we have now with CA-heavy meta and like we will have in two (?) weeks with a DD-heavy meta (i.e. more games with 5 DDs per side). This might also be the reason why we have to wait two weeks for the next mission. edit: Isn't "perfect" MM (so it exists) something like 4 capital ships (BBs/CVs), 4 CAs/CLs and 4 DDs?

    0.6.9 YAMAMOTO CAMPAIGN

What time requirement? This is a permament campaign so you can take all the time you need. The only "problem" some people see is that new missions are unlocked every two weeks and so they have a bit of a waiting time in between. As other said: Yes, all players with tier VIII+ ships can do the missions. You don't have to have one of each class. In theory one tier X (for later missions) is enough for the whole campaign. And even if you don't have any tier X yet, you have literally forever (or at least until the servers are shut down) to grind one and complete the campaign.
  16. What exactely is tricky about that? It is the same as with normal premium ships. Example: Atago captain on Mogami --> retraining required Zao captain on Atago --> no retraining required Atago captain on Mutsu --> no retraining required

    Brilliant WG patch!!!

At least for my friend switching between windowed, full screen window and full screen didn't change anything. Only switching back to DX9 solved his problem.

    Brilliant WG patch!!!

A friend of mine also had severe loading problems. After the patch he joined the games about one minutes after the start and camouflages didn't load. even a full new download and installation didn't change anything. After going back to DX9 it worked for him as before. I didn't have any problems so far but I didn't look up whether I use DX11 or DX9 after the update.

    Team's expectations over CV

I think you summed up nicely what to expect from a CV. It very much depends on the loadout. On the one hand you should help your team as much as possible (damage, spotting, air support if possible etc), on the other hand you are not anyone's servant and have to run as soon as they cry for help and you have better things to do or can't make it in time.
  20. Expected a ship design planned during the last decade. Got disappointed.

Welcome back to World of Battleships

And you couldn't use one of the other ... like ... bazillion threads about this because ... ? Next time close the door more quietly.

    What's going on with Khabarovsk.

Plot twist: OP sold his account on monday morning because he couldn't stand the "nerf" and now the new owners tells him what he noob he is/was.

    British battleships incoming

Oh ok, I thought someone mentioned it once as a rumour from SEA or something. I am curious though if and which ship they will choose as an IJN free exp premium. But I guess we won't see it in the near future.
