Yes, my neck does have obstructions in the back and the front which prevent me from turning my head 360° around my spine. You know... stuff like skin, muscles, nerves, the spinal cord in my spine, a windpipe and the gullet. IIRC some CAs and DDs had this problem fixed and received some 360° turnable turrets. From the top of my head I think Königsberg and Nürnberg are two of them, as well as the T-22. I think it is more of a balance reason and not whether WG can implement it or not.

I am aware of the Musashi being part of the HSF franchise. But I don't see any hint that she will be introduced as such. I mean... she was also part of the ARP franchise. So we have three possibilities now. If WG took her as part of the HSF collaboration, I'd expect a picture which would give a hint in this direction.

Do you know what pay-to-win means? Usually it describes the possibility to buy something game-breaking or OP with real life money alone. If they put Musashi as a tier 10 free exp premium ship it is pay-to-participate at best and even that is not true because you can "simply" grind her (or her sister ship) and you don't have to put any money into it. And from what I take from the forum the Yamato (and by extension the Musashi) doesn't have anything great to go for her besides her calibre. I'd say people will still prefer Conqueror, Kurfürst and maybe even Montana over the Yamato when it comes to competitive play. That is unless WG decides to give her something outstanding like - do I dare to write it down? - radar. Where does it say collaboration? It just says that the arrival of a new ship was announced.I hope that at least it will be achieveable with reasonable missions and not for money only or as some kind of camouflage or skin. Again, do you remember the Nachi mission? What was it... 40 SN ship kills in a time when there was only the SN CA line which was barely played anyway and even less at that specific time because they were literally hunted down by the whole enemy team because of that mission? WG had a lot of tough and frustrating missions in the past. Sure, some of them are not meant to be completed by everyone. But they should be reasonable and doable at least for a significant part of the community who are willing to put some effort into it, not frustrating and absurd.

I don't even dare to think about the requirements WG (EU) would set to get a tier 10. I mean... Have you played when the ARP missions were on? *Cough* Nachi and Takao. And this was only a tier 7 and a tier 8. And yet I am rather in favour of getting her via free exp. I highly doubt that WG will ever give away a ship just because people climbed a single line in the tech tree and reached a certain win rate which btw can be reached even easier with a 3 man division. Don't get me wrong. If they do it, great. I'll show you the place in my port where they can park it right now. But I just don't see that happen ever. Free exp or exp to convert on the other hand has to be earned so it is not just throwing money at WG and getting a tier 10 ship for it. And it is also not a ship ruining high tier battles since it basically is a Yamato unless WG adds some remarkable gimmick to set it apart from her sister. I'd also be fine with a mission or even a campaign but as I described above... WG EU has shown in the past that even getting a tier 7 or tier 8 ship (basically a Myoko and an Atago without premium benefits and the possibility to mount camouflage) via missions can be a way to easily lose your sanity.

Missing Kobayashi Custom Camouflage Bug - Kii Admiral's Edition Package
Tungstonid replied to _B_A_N_E_'s topic in General Discussion
Besides that I am not a car guy, yes I would if I liked the car. Not everyone buys fancy cars (or any other fancy stuff for that matter) to show off and compensate for something. They just like it for themselves and don't give a $h1t what other people think. -
Would it do good to put her at tier 9 with her 1942 configuration (worse secondary and AA armament) and lowered alpha and sigma of the main guns (because fantasy shells) as a free exp ship? She would be less devastating than the Yamato and more vulnerable, especially to CVs.

Well, WG could implement a kind of market place, where solo players can sell their oil to clans for credits with a fixed course. Or solo players can save it until they join a clan where it will be dropped which - I agree with BeauNidl3 - could be exploited or at least abused one or the other way.

A satisfying moment is always when one or two enemy low tier CAs go for the canal between the two big islands on Two Brothers and are gunned down within a few seconds.

As I understood it his team mate hit him several times but he was finished off by enemy torpedoes. Send a replay to the support, although we (are supposed to) have an automatic team kill system which takes care of that. If you want to delete your account permamently, contact the support but be prepared that they want to have proof that your are the actual owner. Probably records of your ingame/shop purchases.

so, how's your first day of oil collecting going?

But what about the storage? I mean... Can we be sure that the servers are powered by green energy? -

It is part of the new clan feature. You can collect oil via containers and missions to build up the clan's naval base which will give different bonuses like lowered post battle repair costs, exp bonuses and ship costs. Since out of 20 members we maybe have 3 to 4 active ones (the rest mainly plays WoT and rarely looks into WoWS) we have brought home only about 150 oil up to now. :/ -
I am not sure whether Musashi is justified as a tier 10 for the normal tech tree since we already have the Yamato. I mean, you basically have the same ship as a top tier goal for both lines then, apart from the possibility to make her the 1942 version. But since WG wants to have every line (and sub-branch) something special I doubt it. Unless they give her something else which makes her distict from her sister. Some new gimmick we all love. I want my 46 cm DP guns. But would that be feasible? Smaller calibre guns aside, you basically have the same ship with 4x3 155mm guns and 6x2 127mm DP guns vs 2x3 155 guns and 12x2 127mm DP guns. 155mm turrets might be harder to incapacitate and might have a higher fire chance and damage but they also have a slower rate of fire, are fewer in numbers and - most importantly - they are NOT DP guns. The question is whether or not the 155mm turrets make a significant difference as secondary armament. As far as I can see, they don't so you are stuck with a Yamato with on-par or even worse secondary armament and worse AA. Additionally a 1942 version would also mean less AA guns of smaller calibres.
-
I hope they don't give her fictional 40 cm main guns just because the 46 cm main guns were designated as 40 cm/45 Type 94 for secrecy reasons... But if they don't it will be a Yamato with worse AA on tier 9. I doubt they will release it as a tier 10 because of their "We don't want to make tier 10s buyable" policy. But somehow I feel they should balance the calibre.

You can earn every collectible once per day. So just repeat the easy ones every day to get enough duplicates for unlocking the collectibles you can't get via the achievements. E.g. Skipper on Deck, Got a Parcel Waiting for You", Ho-Ho-Ho!, Like a Pro, etc.

I am most certain that the maximum duration remains that of the first flooding. However, it is hard to tell because you don't get any further notifications for a second flooding. But I can't recall any incident where I had a flooding for a longer time and got hit by another torpedoe causing flooding and resetting the counter. @mtm78 I am not familiar with the exact working of shells on a ship. Is it possible that some of them just fall out of their rack and blow up leading to a chain reaction? That is how I imagined it until now however they should have a safety, shouldn't they?
-
Yes, flooding reduces your max speed and you can only get one flooding at a time. edit: The amount of HP you lose per tick depends on the max HP of the ship you are sailing. Maybe this is the reason why it sometimes feel you lose more? Because this ship has more HP?
-
You are doing it wrong. No, seriously, I play my Yamato with a secondary build between mid and close range. Works fine. No need for border hugging and sniping although the ability to do so comes in handy from time to time.
-
And we were talking about the AP setup. I thought this was clear because otherwise you can't explain 98% HP loss on a FdG. With the AP setup your Edinburgh might have gotten some overpens if at all. So it still very much depends on the setup you have to choose BEFORE the match started. Yes, unfortunately WG wants to introduce gimmicks to all new lines so they play differently. Yesterday Crysantos interviewed one of the executive producers where he confirmed this. He also announced that CVs (and some relevant captain skills) will be reworked next year. So maybe we will see some improvements there if it doesn't work out like the last time this was announced...

But isn't that the problem? She is overly effective against one certain class (or better to say: some ships of a certain class) but can't really do anything else. Fighters are sub-optimal and the bombers can't really hurt DDs and CAs/CLs. So basically Graf Z relies on the brainless yolo rushing and isolated BB more than any other CV. And as soon as you don't have any of these in a match you just take away a slot in your team.

The Gneisenhau. Deliberate error?
Tungstonid replied to Migantium_Mashum's topic in General Discussion
Well, considering what people see daily, not just in WoWS, the bar is set very low indeed. Sometimes it feels like you are lucky that your team mates can at least press W. -
So maybe a new gamemode combined with some CotE kind of competition?
-
So you are basically complaining about a loss because of you? That's a new one. I'd say that the Kutuzov is one of the few CAs that can deal very well with being uptiered. Also, there is nothing wrong with the MM because it actually allows a slight difference in tiers between the two teams. I'd rather see you having one less DD in your team as a problem than that one tier difference. Especially because it is a domination match.
-
Someone said that it unlocks a mission in WoT which gives further rewards... Nothing official though. But maybe this is the problem?
-
I am sorry, but I don't really see the point of this thread. I could understand it if the campaign was still ongoing (and we had those back then, too) but it is over for two and a half months now. What excately is the problem? If you meet a bad Bismarck player today you can't tell whether he got his Bismarck during the campaign, before the campaign or died his way up afterwards since he had enough time by now. So there is no real point anymore to complain about it. And maybe it is a good thing that your fear of the Bismarck is gone? This way you don't turn tail anymore as soon as you see one. I know, everyone has his nemesis but fear rarely contributes anything positive to the outcome of an engagement.
