The TK system is just broken

Can you support this in any way? Maybe they rather take the number of hits (guns plus torpedoes) on allied ships (maybe plus a damage threshold) and take every tick by a fire as an extra hit. To give an example: With this, SEN_SEN_ would have dealt about 35 hits (3 gun hits + 31 or 32 ticks) on allied ships with > 10000 damage. However, you rarely hit this number of torpedoes, let alone have extra "hits" due to flooding because contrary to fire, a flooding is usually repaired asap because its effects are much more serious. Unfortunately and fortunately WG hasn't released the specific way how team damage is treated as far as I know. Unfortunately because without the knowledge, situations like above (high damage by torpedoes without punishment) can't be explained with certainty. Fortunately because some people tend to find loopholes in such rules and abuse them.

The TK system is just broken

The point of such a system is not to make people play better. This clearly is not in WG's hands because the ultimate motivation for this must come from the player himself/herself. The system is there to make team damage and team killing as unattractive as possible which necessarily leads to harsh punishments so even the ones hell-bent on team killing and the biggest trolls won't do it, given they want to continue playing. So if your personal take from this is that you will play less risky at the expense of your team mates in the future (or in your words "less team-oriented"), I guess the system is working as intended. Was the punishment you received over the head? Iny our case maybe but what do you propose? Not counting fire damage as team damage? Well, some troll will know to abuse that... The system, as it is now, is not perfect. However, it allows for small mistakes (setting a fire to an ally is - depending on the situation - not a small mistake) and punishes hard. Although I'd like to have the ships of team killers be controlled by AI instead of being sunk due to reflected damage so the rest of the team doesn't have to suffer for the behaviour of one member. And I am aware of cases where people with higher team damage got away seemingly unscolded. This IMO has to be dealt with, too.

And it is obvious that you can't distinguish an example from your specific case. I didn't talk about what happened to you (although it sounds quite similar) but listed situations where team kills occur even though they are unnecessary and NOT a case of risk & reward.

The TK system is just broken

So, I have about 4700 random battles under my belt and I never went pink. This is not about risk or reward but situational awareness, teamplay and sometimes patience. You have an ally right next to you between you and your target? Don't pull the trigger but slow down and wait some seconds. You see an ally and an enemy right next to each other? Don't be a d1ck and don't pull the trigger just because you want the kill but wait some seconds until the situation is clear. An ally is contesting a cap with an enemy DD in smoke in there and you have torpedoes ready? Don't f*cking pull the trigger. Easy as that.

The TK system is just broken

No you didn't. If you look closely at 0:14 your rear turret is almost right next to the first turret of the Missouri. Since you turned you slowed turn which led to your turret being right behind the Missouri's turret when you fired. You did NOT make sure that your guns had clear view, there WERE obstacles in the way. The rest is just a more experienced BB player not using his DCP for a single fire. But all in all it is your fault. Your fire alone did over 7500 damage (burned for 32 seconds) before you received the team killer status and reflected damage. Add to this the unknown damage by your HE shells. What do you propose is "real" damage? and keep in mind that a program can't distinguish between deliberately dealt and accidental team damage. The TK system is not perfect but it is made to have people think twice before doing anything. If this means that someone rarely gets a slightly harsher treatment than they should, thst's ok. Get over it.

    IZUMO CLASS

Oh come on guys, show Izumo-chan some love.

    Oil counter dissappears

Currently there is no facility which reduces the RESEARCH price (experience?) but the shipyard reduces the credits costs of a ship of certain tiers if you want to buy it. Did you by any chance misunderstand the ingame tooltips?

    Oil counter dissappears

The amount of oil collected by your clan and available for upgrading is shown in the upper right corner of the clan base menu. The total amount each player has collected can be seen in the member's list. If you collect something due to a mission or container you can see under notifications (in port in the lower right). I am not sure right now if you can see it in the reward window.

Suggestion for the next free xp ship

My guess is that they will relase a free exp ship for every (important) nation first before doing a second RN or USN one. IMO taking one from a popular class is kind of a no-brainer, so it will probably be a BB.

Why do you all people run into your teammate's torps?

This is excately what I meant. It is easier to recognize a thread which is coming from the front or from within your field of vision. If torpedoes come from behind you need a longer time to recognize it, adjust and take evasive actions. So in the end an ally getting torped from the second line needs more time to react than an enemy for whom the torpedoes come from ahead. But both get the torpedoe warning at the same time, i.e. when the torpedoes have the same distance to their ships.

Why do you all people run into your teammate's torps?

You should leave silently and in shame. As others said, 99% of torpedoe hits on allies are the launcher's fault. Even if they hit at max range. Do you expect your allies to have eyes on the back of their head or watch their back during the whole game because someone (like you) could throw torpedoes in their way? If you don't, well... Your allies get the torpedoe warning as soon or late as an enemy ship with the difference that it usually takes a bit longer to catch the exact direction of a threat if it comes from the side or from behind your field of vision, so you can add some extra seconds to the reaction time. As Egoleter said, most players won't catch your torpedoes because they want to. However, if I ever have the choice between taking friendly torpdoes and taking a $h1tload of damage from the enemy (no matter the source), I happily take the first. Why? For two reasons. A) They will only do half the nominal damage and B) the pink status (or ban) and/or reflected damage will hopefully teach this screw-up of a team mate a lesson not to limit my options to maneuvre when I take the heat off his second line torping rear.
  12. If I understood him correctly he deleted his WoT account (and by extension his WoWS account) in 2015 so maybe he started a new one?
  13. 1. I, personally, never had any frequent game crashes. Doesn't mean I don't believe you and all the others claiming this but maybe the problem is more on your side (incompatible software or hardware)? Then again, WG should make sure that their game runs on every up to date system. 2. This is in the game for ages now and as far as I know WG didn't say anything that they play to change it. Rather the opposite. And to change a current mechanic in the name of realism (never mind that this is an invalid argument in itself) but keeping all the good unrealistic stuff is kind of hypocritical. 3. Again, it is in the game forever. I guess it is so because planes are treated as moving on a 2D plane instead of 3D and the aura does not take obstacles into account. See above. I doubt WG will stop inventing new gimmicks for new lines which will make balancing more and more difficult. There was an interview with one of the Executive Producers (Ev1n?) not that long ago where he said that they use gimmicks to set new ships apart from older lines, so they don't all play the same.

    How is this a game?

And yet I had a lot of games during the last days which unexpectedly turned around 180° right in the middle. Example: Tier 10 game on Mountain range, domination mode. My whole team went for A, giving B and C to the enemy right from the start. Yet we won because after a few minutes the enemies started to ... evaporate all of a sudden, leading to a 12-1 victory IIRC. One of the few games where a lemming train worked although shortly after the start I was sure that this game was to be a total screw-up.

    How is this a game?

Because it isn't. As other people said: Learn how and when to use your DCP and you will have less problems with fire damage. Learn to be a better captain so your chances in the next similar situations are more in your favour. You never know how a battle will go until it is over.

    paying to change my nickname???

So if I understand the definition correctly, WoWS (like most F2P MMOs) is a freemium game which is just a category of F2P games. I.e. every freemium game is F2P, but not every F2P game is a freemium game. And which parts of the game can't you access with paying money for? The only thing I can think of from the top of my head are premium ships which in some cases aren't even that different from tech tree ships. There are no P2P game modes, no P2P tiers, no P2P operations, no P2P divisions. Ok, you have to pay for founding a clan which costs 10€. So what? In my opinion an affordable one time payment and not even necessary if you don't need the tag in front of your name. So in the end you pay solely for economic advantages. Premium ships give higher income and train your captains. Clans give you bonuses on exp and decreased service and ship costs. On topic: I can't recall any comparable MMO I have played where changing your user name was free of charge. Air Rivals did this, WoT did it, WT does it for every change but the first, etc. And as others said, redistributing captain skill points is free if you have free captain's exp. How you should know how to correctly distribute points? How about having a look at all ships of the line (or at least the relevant ones), evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and act accordingly? Or look for suggestions (forum, youtube, ...) before you distribute any if you are not sure. You also don't have to pay any money for retraining captains for as new ship. You can use credits, free captain's exp and/or just time.

    Clan buildings priority

My clan (we consist of only a handful of active players and some who play from time to time) will go for the BB repair dock first. After this probably CA and DD docks, then more exp for the often played nations and discounts on different tiers last. Expanding the clan size is not necessary yet.

These 2 Called MM's Mother Something Awful

You think so? Maybe you should have made it clearer then? Otherwise I am just responding to some half-sarcastic remark about the ongoing of this thread.

These 2 Called MM's Mother Something Awful

    @ForlornSailor Well, yes.
  20. Tungstonid

WG, look at battle statistic- MM is off by 80%

How can the MM be off by 80%? I am very sure that the majority of battles at tier 8+ are not lost within 6 minutes. At least I can't recall any of those within the last two weeks or so. Since skill-based MM is a big no-no for WG, the only other thing to change is something WG can't influence: player skill and habit, the biggest RNG in this game.

    GZ test 1

You are aware of the fact that the GZ is currently not available in the premium shop? That they removed it because it was totally unbalanced (in the bad sense) and that they offered refund to everyone? And that those who kept it anyway are now part of the test program to balance it? Have you ever taken a closer look at the torpedoe drop pattern? If you have half a brain cell and the CV doesn't catch you unaware or in a bad spot (in which case it is either your fault or gg by the enemy) you get hit by one torpedoe per squadron at most. PS: Please don't give WG any ideas for new gimmicky ships.

    2nd year collection

The other ships have the same colour pattern. There should be an article on the WoWS main page about the 2nd anniversary event where they show the five ships with it. Edit: The picture shown above is from my own port. But as I said, search on the main page for the article about the event.

    2nd year collection

Did you actually pay money for any of the collectibles? Or do you really think, investing some money over the year grants you some kind of "I finish every collection although I don't" privilege? You could earn several collectibles/duplicates each day very easily if you had played regurlarly as you claimed before. Missing the expiration date of a mission is not WG's fault. Everyone else seemed to have gotten it. And everyone who stayed with WG for a while knows that finishing missions ASAP is the best option. Waiting until just before it ends is never a good idea. You can find the Kiew with the 2nd anniversary camo in the spoiler below as an example.

    RN BB NERF(rebalance) incomming?

Before seeing this video I didn't feel that the Conqueror was overly OP. Ok, the concealment is low, HE sucks and the zombie heal can be a pain in the 4$$ but I can't recall a single battle since the release where I saw or "felt" what Flamu showed in this video. Now that I have seen it... I have to agree that he is right. However, am I missing something or is this - the higher fire chance aside - possible with every tier X BB? And is the higher fire chance even significantly noticeable compared to e.g. a Montana going full Edited HE? This post has been edited by the moderation team due to inappropriate remarks.
