As odd as it would seem I think you will have a pretty long wait for a German Tech Tree as the Russian Navy is coming next and there is no sign of that. I think the best you can hope for is maybe a couple of premium ships late this year at the very earliest for a line(not even tech tree)....

I played DD's alot in Beta and the biggest tip I can think of is as you say using smoke wisely, but more than that don't use it to give yourself away the amount of times you can see right where the other teams DD's are because they smoke up way too early

On WOT you would sometimes run into people who had been on the RU server so at some point they had been permitted to transfer over, but I have never heard of it from the EU server and I would think it would be a good way to make a little money letting people move for a small fee.

I would disagree with people in regards WOT it does share some similarities, but they are all pretty much at concept level and such(the use of consumables and such). However the biggest mistake people make with Destroyers is their role is not like light tanks. Torpedoes change everything when loaded you are the most powerful ship in the game but especially later with the LONG reloads there is almost and Artillery feel to their play(well atleast the IJN ones).

Like any new game it take time to balance, both the game itself and the player base. In regards to DD's they are most effective when awareness is low and new players tend to have a lower level, thus DD's can get kills that later in the tiers they wouldn't, do nerfing them for that is simply wrong and the same can be said for CVs

Team tactics on the EU server in WOT are horrid too, simply because of the fact there is no common language. Having played WOT on the NA server its noticeable how much more co-operation you see. SO on the EU server here I'm sure you will have to accept that or not and there is no real point working yourself up because it won't change

My understanding is that we are all Beta Testers and you will receive the same rewards, if any that those of us that joined up beforehand(and as it should be)assuming that you meet the criteria for reward

I had an issue yesterday where my Torpedo Bomber Squadron took off and promptly flew off the map and never came back!!! I guess they had heard about being shredded!!!!

I think its really hard to judge World of Warships yet because the majority of players have played much fewer games than a "normal" world of tanks matchup

As I recall Camo patterns didn't give you any benefit it world of tanks for quite some time, its a relatively recent change.

It reminds me a little of World of Tanks now before the 0.8??? update there is something of a 2d feel to it and I'm sure given time they get it right.

In fairness to the Hood we have all had games here where we are hit by something and we die and its what the hell was that! The sad thing for them it ended 1400 lives. The strength of that design won't translate well to WOWs as it was allowing the Navy to reduce the overall size of the fleet at the cost of survivability against heavy capital ships

My Father in Law served on the USS Boston during the Cuban Missile Crisis, My Father was one of the officers that sat on the last Court Martial connected with an a RAF Warship back in the 1980s and my great grandfather was in the Royal Marines both throughout WW! and prior to the war serving on a number of ships

I'm sure there are LOTS of people that are thrilled by this news and rightly so! However, I do question why such an iconic ship would be left out of the game proper and I understand that Tirpitz will make it. just seems a shame

This reminds me of the Matilda Black Prince when it was introduced to world of tanks (for the record I quite like the MBP). However, people where drawing all kinds of conclusions in connection to how the whole tiers would play out for the British Tanks based on that and in the end the tier played out quite differently.

In fairness the time-zones should help the EU staff you can come in at 3am and work on stuff before we all get up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just Kidding thank you for working on this and I have my gold ready for tomorrow!!!

If you haven't played World of Tanks get ready to be really disappointed at the level of cooperation here as a result on no common language. Having played on the US server a little(within WOT)it is stunning how much more cooperation there is, even in the lowest tiers. I guess the bottomline is its just the way things are on the EU server, perhaps one day they will be able to subdivide the EU servers, but seeing as WOT haven't done that yet it would seem unlikely and years off.

I really don't care for XVM and won't use it, but if others choose to I'm OK with that also

would their not be balancing issues having such a high tiered BC??

It's easy to forget that prior to WW1 A-H was a borderline world super-power I recall seeing some pictures of an Austrian battleship during the Boxer Rebellion in China, but as others have pointed out its somewhat similar to the Italian Tanks in WOT you will struggle to get out of even the mid tiers, unless they had an extensive planned programme and that seems, given the other issues that it had as an Empire by the middle of world war one.... unlikely. That being said if and WHEN any are added I will be totally thrilled!!!!!!!!!!

Talking of the Nelson do you think the G3 Battlecruiser will be included at some point???

Given the way WG works I think without question the RN line will be(when it comes)designed to "fit" into the tiers with little or no regard to historical fact(good examples of that include the fact that the Hurricane isn't in Warplanes as a standard plane..... I guess in the words of Churchill the few just got a whole lot fewer(seeing as the Hurricane shot down more planes in the Battle of Britain than the Spitfire)!!! the original TD line in Tanks that didn't include either of the TD's used by the British Army in WW2 and the only way you will see one British tank still years after the release of the British line(after the French I might add)is with a Red Army Star on the side.
