I'm really struggling with my Colorado and think if I didn't have the rudder shift mod(I kicked my laptop when you suggested otherwise for that mod option!)on mine I would simply kill myself!!!! So I video on tactical movement would be good

I wouldn't consider myself a good player average at best, but after 25 or so battles with the Colorado my confidence is totally shot, even with basically the same configuration module wise (as the New Mexico(which I loved) it seems so much more sluggish both getting upto speed and turning(and thats with the rudder shift module), add to that the reduction in guns(and yes I know they are higher caliber) and it has very little going for it. The only thing that I would say for ir maybe its me but it seems to have much more durable turrets.

I'm not sure if I have missed it, but are there plans to have animated secondary armament?

I believe he was referring to the navy of the Soviet Union not the other arms, WOWs is after all connected with ships

Seem to recall World of Warplanes offered the option of either and it would be nice to see.

Not wanting to support your argument, but don't forget that the Chinese didn't have any armored units whatsoever in WW2, I agree that it would be really nice to see Italian units in all three games and look forward to their implantation. However this is how they get away with it, as a company the fact that British Tanks Ships Planes are included in the game or not shouldn't impact Italy being so, particularly in the case of Tanks where they have not been very active in regards to adding new lines over the last 12 months. My post was never about my nation is better than yours so should be added, its the point WG clearly treat Britain poorly and thats not to say they don't treat other countries badly either. You are indeed correct it's easy to get emotionally attached to the project but I guess the way to see it is a short term relationship and if another company comes along that offers a product that fits what you would hope better you switch to them. That being said the one thing that binds us all together is they fact that we have invested time into the game.

Thanks for the complement and I wondered the same thing in regards "saving "the RN and indeed the KM to re-release the game. However, and I might be totally wrong but on Warplanes wasn't the British line offered on release? I fact I wondered it that was why it(and the German line) would not be offered right away.

Thanks for the replies guys, again I want to stress(and that's why I put this here)I don't want to turn this into another thread about the RN and their placement in World of Warships this seems to be deeper than just this game it seems to be something across the board with all their products and services. It might well be the case that a Russian based company still has issues getting military information from the UK(but seeing as the Government in post war Britain gave the Soviets intact Rolls-Royce engines to study you would think that wouldn't be the case!!!). As for player-base perhaps its down to that Another possible reason is I watched a lecture recently by AJP Taylor in which he discussed the start date of world war 2 and unlike world war 1 when it could really be pinned to a particular moment/event world war 2 can't. As a Briton I always look on it as September 1st 1939 but most American's if pushed would say the attack on Pearl Harbor and Russians might well say May 41...... but he went on to put forward other dates as far back as 1931 when Manchuria was occupied. What does that have to do with WG you ask? if world war 2 starts in 1941 Britain is a much less significant figure with regards to the war.

Opinion regarding the released German cruiser line

I'm not sure I will be playing the German Cruiser line but it will be great to see them in the game and I can't wait for their introduction. -
I think in many ways he is correct, but I think its because tier 3 is the first time you are likely to face people in ships that they aren't quickly passing through so its less that the ships are weak and more that the learning-curve jumps up a notch.

I don't have one but Im betting simply having them on a US Cruiser is huge because you can hit people with a wave before they remember you have them while they are dodging all the HE shells on-fire and likely with the repair kit on cool-down

I'm with you I really love this game, although ironically I'm much more interested in the time period leading up to the lower tiers ending with world war one, The game does have it's issues and there are things I hope are implemented, but it is something I look forward to playing daily

I play Battleships almost exclusively, so I have no great love for Carriers. However, to me this issue WGing have is that they have to make the class playable relevant and interesting to people that are playing it. Speaking for myself(having not played it since beta)I didn't enjoy it micro managing lots of little place holders just didn't work for me and I know many others feel the same way(I'm not saying WGing should change because I dont like it!!!)but the fact that it has limited appeal is an issue for them. In terms of playability it needs to me simple enough that people can pick it up but not simple enough that those that are good can dominate games, clearly as WG themselves admit they got the balance wrong with World of Warplanes. All that being said I don't think a nerf is in order in my view the way forward is to make them more relevant in other ways right now it seems to me that the single focus of Carrier play is the strike role simply by rewarding air superiority(more xp for carriers shooting down enemy planes)and scouting maps(don't forget that Midway was won largely due to the fact that the USN knew the location of the IJN fleet first)points for damage caused by spotting it would change the whole mindset and not only help the game but I think would make the game more interesting for CV players.

A large amount of the draws happen because people lose sight of the goal which is to win not to sink all the other ships

I wonder seeing as none of the ships that were being tested in the patch before incl the Marblehead(I used to live there so that's why I remember her!!!)and the other Omaha class trial ships have entered the shop trees is it realistic to think that the German ones from the following patch would be released??

This isn't rocket science the numbers right now are likely to drop, basically you have a game in beta that a a group of people have been waiting for release, my guess is that this had largely been made up of people either from WOT or..... with a specific interest in the topic. The company has spent little or no money promoting its release as of yet so people stumbling across it are never going to fill in for the people that play a few games and just leave for nothing as specific as DD's or CV's being overpowered, HE shells starting fires(and for what its worth I play mostly US Battleships so have felt like kicking my PC on more than one occasion because of the whole fire thing!!!)

I had it in CBT and its one of those ships that you can have some great games but........ the poor and really poor ones totally outweigh it(for me anyway), although Im going to keep it for awhile as I don't need the portslot

Why is EU community staff doing nothing for community/playerbase?

I would like to add my view on all this and some advice to people who are new to WG as a company. My experience dates back to just after the EU server was open on WOT(I believe anyway) Overall WG will(I know there are issues right now and the game needs more than a little filling out(it would be nice if we could do something with "free experience earned after ships are mastered which in turn would help with the fact things cost a lot because you would be happier to sail around in it thus)put out a really solid product and their events(in my view)are always welcome. Sometimes the logic of them is perhaps not what someone with a western view of the world would do(like when they had a special on Russian Tanks to celebrate Polish Independence Day! But this is a free to play game and the game itself is what I'm most concerned with. Get that right and people will stay, get that wrong and no matter what events you do people won't play the game. All that being said as someone on the EU server if you get offended by the fact that the all servers within WG aren't equal I would leave because the RU arm of the company has always come first. In terms of the issues with regards the English speaking part of the EU server wouldn't there be a logic in having the NA's handle that that would cut down the workload of the EU people and would at least group the English speaking people together??? -

Having spent 4 years(I think!!!)playing all three WG products(granted not too too many games in Warplanes(but then again who has!!!!))I can never understand why they don't have a system where at least you can only platoon with ships/tanks/planes you could face. I understand that you might still end up in a game out of tier but....... it would stop the stupid tier 8 and 1 platoons you see around every now and then
